It’s that time of the month again (no, not that one): when celebrities fancy themselves up, get in front of a camera, and roll around on rumpled beds in the name of art. Er, fashion. Er, magazine sales. Yeah, that one.
This time it’s So Ji-sub for High Cut, which makes sense since he’s out there promoting his new movie big-time. That would be the romantic melodrama Only You with Han Hyo-joo, which has led to a rash of “only” puns in media headlines, article titles, and photo concepts. Why do we Koreans like punning so much? The world may never know.
This photo spread is titled “Only So Ji-sub” (hey, I said we like puns, not that they were witty or clever), and is conceptualized around So Ji-sub looking “softly masculine” and “a bit unwound.” (Which brings to mind that impulse we all get when we see a loose thread in a sweater, taunting you. What’s the first thing you want to do? Unwind it all the way, naturally.)
It’s just too bad he’s all unwound and loose, while his hair has rebelled full-tilt in the opposite direction. He could also maybe use a few tips on how to not wear all the clothes you own in one outfit.

Those pants in the last picture. What the …?
I thought those things died out. I guess it’s a “fashion” that’s still going strong. I wanted to strangle Show Luo (or his stylist) when he wore them. GR! It’s like a sweater upside down or something. Yeesh.
Regretsy has a whole series of these sweater pants. It is hilarious.
They are sweat pant.
Last pic? I looked at the trousers in the first picture. They seem a bit loose in waist ;p
He lost me for good with this posture
OMG – was the photographer and stylist on some kind of a crack binge?!
That last pic is ridiculous – the only thing missing is him holding up a cardboard sign with “Will work for food” message on it – and how is it possible that the pic makes him look 20 years older than he really is? – and the unruly ajumma mop doesn’t help, either.
He’s one hot guy, but not in this spread.
And now that I’ve gone back and looked at pic #3 again, know what’s really funny? The totally inappropriate placement of that pant tie – it brings a whole new meaning to the term “pencil *ick”, if you get my drift…
ROFL! That exactly describes it!
“It’s that time of the month again (no, not that one): ”
jbeans you sure put a smile on my face with that one – you are the best!
As for our handsome Ji Sub shi – even the curly hair couldn’t ruin his face.
Those pants are some unfortunate fashion trend right now (Cha Seung Won looks good in them but I guess he is the only one – I can’t imagine some regular Joe wearing them and look anything but ridicilous)
He is some handsome but the photographers and designers have diminished him by at least half. Those photos are a mess!
Ack! Why is he still working the ahjumma perm from his “Pick Me Up” MV :/
Not diggin’ it. I’m actually hunting in the pictures for the hotness… And it’s So friggin’ Ji-Sub! wtf? This should not be happening!
Who was in charge of clothes? whoever that person is should be fired for lack of any and all sense. The first photo is nice though. There is this area of skin showing and it’s so taunting I think its his hip? Which is just damn sexy.
Was i the only one who saw gliterrly stuff on him? or am i being paranoid.
Don’t like the hair and what he’s wearing in the last pic. Other than that, the man is delicious.
“He could also maybe use a few tips on how to not wear all the clothes you own in one outfit”, ROTFL!
You know what, Mr So has always (in my opinion and many critics) been known for wearing avant grade items of clothing in photoshoots and I agree that this set of pictures are no different.
I’ve never been a fan of that “got a bad perm, but going to call it that “got out of bed look instead”" hairstyle he keeps rocking…but that being said, if he showed up in front of me with the “ahjumma perm” wearing a tuttu, top hat and platformed shoes, he would still be welcome…in my car, house or bed ANYTIME!!!!
i swear picture 1 and 2 looks weird it looks like he’s trousers are halfway down he’s knee. Cause i can see some skin
he looks like a homeless!!
The curls~! It butchers him off!
That bit of skin in the middle of the 1st photo is probably the boney tip of his hip, exposed below the pulled-up sweater. But both photos of him lying in bed look more odd than sexy! How’s that possible?
So I was looking at the pictures thinking to myself “WTF??” Not really a fan of any of them. He looks troubled, and the hair is just wrong on so many levels. However, I do like his socks in the third pic. They look cozy.
It’s that time of the month again (no, not that one)
Hoo hoo ha ha!
This article is a great Wednesday starter.
To sum up the comments so far: pencil *ick, boney hip, cozy socks, paranoid glitter and homelss mop.
btw, maybe he had to wear all of his clothes at one time to keep warm?
Hobo chic?
No chic. Just hobo.
Stylist needs to be fired! WTF is he wearing & why so much of it?
He appears to be wearing an upside-down sweater for pants in that last pic….
Also, the bed-rolling looks more like “writhing” to me.
what. is. up. with. his. hair.

Are his pants slightly pulled down in the first two pictures? Haha…and wow…
The title should be: “How to wreck a God-like man.”
he’s actually a hot hobo who had an accident in the hair salon
can this guy be any hotter and manlier!!?? and the stylist should be fired, what a waste of so ji sub only to cover him up with gazillion of layers!
O.M.G…. O_o
So. It IS possible to take a perfectly hot looking guy and ruin it from head to toe. Hobo – other than a handbag – is never chic.
I’m not quite sure what these photos are trying to sell… 80s retro perm? Layer look? Because really, the only way that multiple layer look may work is on really tall people. Short people just end up looking like a marshmallow.
Hancinema shows one photo that our Dramabeans doesn’t. Upside: more nekkid SJS. Downside: he’s emaciated! i want my k-men fit, not bony!

OMG. No. Just no.
Totally NOT digging the Homeless Chic look with the Grandma tight curls hairdo.
He looks like a Homeless person who is wearing all he owns on his back.
Ditch this look! UGH!!!
“He could also maybe use a few tips on how to not wear all the clothes you own in one outfit.”
LOL.
his hair D: *cries*
My poor Ji sub, what did they do to your beautiful hair? Is that why you’re crying in bed? If they did that to my hair, I wouldn’t want to get out of bed either.
Oh noeeeessss! Attack of the permed hair!
So Ji-sub sshi, I like your hair in Cain & Abel. I know this is for your movie however after the promotion period, 제발! cut your hair.
I felt lazy just looking at the photos.
Sleepy too.

*snerk*
