    Happy weekend, everybody!

Finally weekend! I`m happy. It is my first comment. I decided, to be brave today. My first OT-comment.(and I am the first today…)

I am just watching Faith for the time being. I enjoy Faith despite the notsogood directing. So much hidden potential. A bit more like Chuno-slavehunter…sigh. But the main couple is very very very cute and pretty and funny.

Unfortunately I do not have much time to watch kdramas. Because I have started to study computer science. It is a distance learning course. So I have to study in the evening. Less time to watch kdramas :-(. Panicattack! Will I become a nerd now?? But nerds do not watch kdramas, do they?? So than maybe I’am k-dramabeans-OT-fan-nerd or something like that?? o_O

I hope your weekend is going well 🙂 !!!!

    • 1.1 FishcalledWanda

      Hi Swurbel!
I’m pretty new myself, but I welcome you tot the loveliness of the OT! And there is nothing wrong with being a k-dramabeans-OT-fan-nerd!
      Have a nice weekend!

      • 1.1.1 FishcalledWanda

And who else finds it weird not to see Ivoire with the first comment? ;p

        • am

It’s kinda like mandatory that Ivoire be first comment in OT’s haha

          • Leaf

It just to be me 😛

            times change haha

          • Leaf

            *used to be me…

            My brain ^facepalm^

          • JoAnne

            Ha! Leafy has BigBangBrain

          • Leaf

Nope… Leafy’s brain is just not working recently…
maybe it’s due to too much partying…
            ^sigh^ I knew I wouldn’t be able to cope with a social life…

    • 1.2 kika

Hi swurbel! I’m new too! I’ve decided to be brave and comment too cos of my addiction to Nice Guy. I was really crazy about Faith until episode 18 when I started on Nice Guy and found it much more engaging than Faith even though they’re as different as day and night when it comes to comparison.

But I have to say I love eun sol and choi young too! Their interactions are so cute! And their love feels real and grounded. Not a whirlwind or grand romance like most k dramas but something I’d like to experience in real life.

All the best for your long distance learning course!

      • 1.2.1 swurbel

        thank you very much 🙂
currently, the study is still very new and exciting and good for the brain.

    • 1.3 Shukmeister

      Congratulations and welcome!

    • 1.4 zgznoona

      Welcome to OT!!!
btw, you can be a nerd and watch kdramas 😉
      Good luck with school!

      • 1.4.1 swurbel

        Thanks. I will fight. 🙂

      • 1.4.2 Llamaesque

I would go so far as to say nerdiness is a *requirement* for watching Kdramas 😉

(Or at least being obsessed with them, anyway.)

        • PiggyBunny12

          I definitely agree–did a total double-take at that comment. 😛

    • 1.5 wintergirl

Nerds do indeed watch Kdramas. Mac/science nerd reporting in here.

    • 1.6 mud

Nerds or anybody for that matter can totally be kdrama fan(girls/boys)! It’s practically written in the contract that we all sign when we hand our souls over to those life suckers! Success in what you are doing on the other hand is all about prioritizing and self-control. I think I kind of lack in this department but I’m hanging in there while also studying in professional school.

    • 1.7 enz

welcome swurbel – how do ppl come up with creative names?! my name is actually my name – thats how imaginative i am. 😛

i think this OT is proof that anyone can be a k addict!

      • 1.7.1 Shukmeister

We still love you, Enz, even with your name! lol

        • enz

      • 1.7.2 swurbel

hello enz. A friend of mine calls me that sometimes. Because I tend to make things more complicated than they are. He heard or read the word “verschwụrbelt” in Germany and it means ‘confused’ or ‘complicated’. He liked that word and so he created ‘swurbel’. I like that nickname too and so it is now. 🙂

        • enz

ah i see. thanks for explaining

    • 1.8 Unnursvana

Nerds do indeed watch Kdramas ^^ I am studying literature at Uni and I watch kdramas all the time (or when I find the time to do so). I don’t see why we can’t be kdramaaddicts and nerds at the same time. Being both is very fun imho.

      • 1.8.1 swurbel

Hallo Unnursvana. I think I need to change my world view and what nerds are. Literature students are nerds too???
However. The nerds I know or what I called nerds are (hardcore)computerfreaks. They can do amazing things with the computer. They are sometimes a bit unsocial. And they play WoW and/or Magic – The Gathering. And I if I have a question concerning computers they reply patiently and friendly but I don’t understand a word (but thats my lack of knowledge :-()
But I`am a kdramaaddict and dramabeansaddict for sure. Love this blog and all the comments. It’s fun and relaxing.
        Nice weekend for you.

        • Unnursvana

Everybody can be a nerd, it had more to do with their interest and stuff like that. I doesn’t matter if they are studying literature or science or whatever. I am a Lit Nerd, a hardcore bibliophile. I am sure you can be a kdrama nerd as well.

Well, I get my views on nerd from the Vlogbrothers. Those guys made me discover my inner nerd.
“…because nerds like us are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff… Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like jump-up-and-down-in-the-chair-can’t-control-yourself love it. Hank, when people call people nerds, mostly what they’re saying is ‘you like stuff.’ Which is just not a good insult at all. Like, ‘you are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness’.” – John Green )who one of the Vlogbrothers and a writer as well ^^.)

          • swurbel

Vlogbrothers ?? – cool. Bookmarks already set. 🙂

          • swurbel

maybe I watch this blog a little bit this evening. After some kdramas of course 🙂
kika (and so many others ) recommended Nice Guy. I think, I try…

          • PiggyBunny12

DFTBA! I was totally going to go look up this quote to post but you beat me!

    • 1.9 whimsicalnet

hi, i’m a newbie/lurker as well so this is jus to say hi! 😀

      • 1.9.1 Korazy Lady

Welcome, whimsicalnet! Hope you feel at home here

    • 1.10 kdramapedia

K-DRAMABEANS-OT-FAN-NERD?! Hey, I resemble that comment!

      • 1.10.1 Big Unni

        Haha! Nice word play!

        • kdramapedia

I can be witty every once in a while, lol.

    • 1.11 kakashi

welcome, swurbel! I like nerds 🙂

  2. kakashi

Hello, fellow Beanies! A very happy weekend to everybody. Off to do grocery shopping now. Ah, life is so exciting!

    • 2.1 Korazy Lady

      Morning Kakashi!

      • 2.1.1 oftheshore

        Hi kakashi and KL!

        • kakashi

Hello Korazy and oftheshore! We’re expecting snow this weekend. And it’s the end of daylight saving … dark times ahead. I’m a bit cold and hope it’s not a flu that’s coming. If it is, I hope it’s a really mild one that lets me stay in bed and watch Kdrama.

          • kakashi

            and hello zgznoona!

    • 2.2 zgznoona

Happy weekend to you as well

  3. Matilda

Happy OT everyone! Just catching up on nice guy. I’m really loving how everything is coming into place and the plot actually works good for me. What jdramas are you guys watching this season? I’ve managed to catch kekkon shinai and tokyo airport.

    • 3.1 zgznoona

      Happy OT,
I’m staying away of melos, and weekend dramas this seasom
      Well, at least regarding kdramas.
But i’m checking atleast the first episode of this season’s jdramas. I’m liking Kekkon Shinai so far. Waiting for subs for this week’s premieres

      • 3.1.1 Shukmeister

        Hallooo kakashi!

Don’t forget chocolate chip cookies, and ice cream!!

        • kakashi

Grüezi Shukmeister, your greeting is kinda in a weird place 🙂 hehe, that’s probably why I indeed DID forget to buy chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. Guess I’ll have to go again tomorrow to get those.

  4. kika

Happy Friday everyone! Though at where I’m at, it’s near the end of the day.

I’ve been hooked on Nice Guy ever since starting on it two weeks ago. It’s my first melodrama, and what an experience it is. For once, the corporate machinations are brilliant, all the crying and screaming are justified, and the hour flies by with me at the edge of my seat.

I’m enjoying it so much that I’ve even been drawing and painting drama scenes from it. I think this is gonna be my favorite drama of the year. A melo! I’d never have imagined…

    • 4.1 zgznoona

I love when drama watching stimulates creativity. It’s a wonderful excuse, you’re not wasting your time watching TV, you’re seeking inspiration 😉

      • 4.1.1 kika

Thanks zgznoona for putting it across this way! Now I feel better about all those hours spent watching dramas 🙂

    • 4.2 shirin-noona

I just saw your blog!Very creative indeed.Keep up the good work chingu:)

      • 4.2.1 kika

Thank you shirin-noona! Such a coincidence to have 2 noonas comment one after another. You noonas are so kind with your encouragement!

    • 4.3 kopytko

      Hi, Kika, dear fellow-Nice-Guy-fan!
It’s a rare thing for me to get so invested in a melo, but when I try to think of my favourite dramas ever, there would be some melos high on the list. I guess they just make you more engaged and emotional than comedies or action dramas. To cut the long story short, I share your view on Nice Guy – it’s the first time when amnesia makes sense plot-wise and is handled without disregard to common sense.

I also want to say that your blog is great! Love your art, especially water-colours. Do you accept suggestions/requests or do you onl;y follow your own inspirations?

      • 4.3.1 kika

Hello kopykto, glad you like the water colors! No one has requested for anything before, but I’m happy to accept them, especially since I’m Running out of ideas of the scenes to draw. Just drop me a message!

        • kopytko

          Yay! That would be awesome!
I’ll be sure to drop by and request a nice water-colour (or whatever you feel like drawing/painting) of Sorry, I Love You ( or Attic Cat.

          • kika

Wow… I just dramawiki-ed these two titles and they go way back. I only started watching k-dramas about 2 years ago. Drop me a message on the blog and let me know which still you’ll like to be drawn 🙂

          • kopytko

thank you, I surely will 😀

      • 4.3.2 Enz

Hi, how I do I find your blog kika? I wanna have a look too. Thanks

    • 4.4 Korazy Lady

      Hi Kika,

I hope you see this. I just checked out your blog and as a fellow water color painter, I wanted to say I love your style! Your use of color is fabulous! I’m glad you got inspiration from the dramas because you should not stop painting. (Maybe you’ll even inspire me to pick up my brush again!)

      Thanks for sharing.

  5. FishcalledWanda

And it is Friday again! Who else is happy?
I hope everyone had a good week!

Mid-terms are almost over! Then I have free time again and can I resume my drama watching. I haven’t watch one episode this whole week! (Okay, maybe one… or two. Who needs a certificate when you can watch dramas?) So I still got to watch the end of Arang. But I don’t want it to end! I’m still in some sort of denial that it has already ended.

Thanks to everyone who shared their recipes with me last week! They are definitely going in my list of favourites! It was very nice to try something different, very refreshing.
Shukmeister, your chicken pot pie was delicious! I shared it with my roommates and it made me instantaneously very popular.
Enz, your pasta with sausage tasted also very good!
Ladytron, I tried making the jacked potato and it turned out very good. I’m planning to make the potato and corn soup coming week, I hope it turns out alright!
Because in Holland you can only buy potatoes per a lot so I had some potatoes left and with them I made the potatoes, onions and cheese recipe JoAnne suggested, which was also very tasty!
Mar, I still have to search for a cheap rice cooker, so I haven’t tried your recipe yet, but I certainly will when I have my hands on one.
And Sabah, your cookies! Holy cow, were they good! I could never thought of making them like that myself, they were like heaven!

Wishing everyone a nice Friday and good weekend : )

    • 5.1 Korazy Lady

      Hi FCW,

I have to laugh about the recipes. That is one of the excuses (hiding my addiction haha) I use when I’m secretly trying to sneak in an episode of a drama or catch up at Dramabeans. I just tell my husband I’m searching for recipes on line. Who knew I could do both at the same place!

      • 5.1.1 FishcalledWanda

Haha, everything is possible on Dramabeans! Now you have an extra good alibi 😉 I always pretend I’m studying very hard instead of watching dramas like an addict! (which I am, truthfully)

    • 5.2 enz

glad you liked it FCW 🙂 cant believe you tried out so many of the recipes in that one week!!

      • 5.2.1 FishcalledWanda

Haha, yes, because of all the new ideas I felt like cooking and went on a cooking spree! I also found out I really like spicy Italian sausage!

    • 5.3 Shukmeister

      FishCalledWanda –

Always happy to increase someone’s popularity! Glad you liked the pot pie.

I’ve got a good hard-cookie recipe, where I sometimes use chianti as an ingredient…

      • 5.3.1 FishcalledWanda

Haha, yes gotta thank your pot pie for that 😉
And chianti! Please do tell me!

        • Shukmeister

The recipe is pretty basic, and includes a cup of liquid.

If you use a red wine, you get a hard dippable wine cookie. I’ve also used a cup of fresh-squeezed lemon juice (my father makes his own limoncello), and it makes a hard very tart lemon cooler that I dip in powdered sugar. I’ve had a few failures with it, but that’s the fun of experimenting!

          • Shukmeister

My mom calls them wine biscuits. She had the recipe for years, but my dad says I make them better ;-).

            WINE BISCUITS (Chianti Cookies)
            4 cups flour
            1 TBLS baking powder
            1 cup sugar
            1 tsp salt
            1 cup oil
1 cup red wine (Chianti or other sweet red)

            – Mix together until a dough forms. Using a teaspoon-size amount of dough, roll into a rope, form a circle and twist it once to give it a “figure-eight” shape.
            – Brush with egg yolk (optional and I don’t do it)
            – Bake 400 for 18 to 25 minutes until brown.

If you use wine, they turn out a purple color, which is another reason I don’t use the egg yolk – I like purple!

The red wine is where you can substitute other liquids. I’m going to render a pumpkin this year, and try it with the liquid from boiling it down. We’ll see how that goes…

          • FishcalledWanda

Hmm, sounds good! I would never have thought to use red wine in cookies, I only tried with liqueur like Amaretto so far. But it sounds great! And purple is my favourite colour, so it can’t go wrong ; )
With pumpkin is a very special idea, I’m curious how that will turn out. Pumpkin is very good, I ate pumpkin soup (mom-made) the other day, delicious!

    • 5.4 Ladytron33

FishcalledWanda, I’m so glad everything turned out well for you! I hope the potato soup goes as planned 🙂 That’s the nice thing about potatoes-they’re so cheap and versatile! I wish I didn’t have food allergies, because those cookies Sabah posted sounded amazing!

What dramas are on your list to watch once midterms are over? I’m in the middle of a Gentleman’s Dignity marathon. It’s good, but I’ve been really annoyed with the last two episodes. Noble idiocy in Kdramas drives me crazy!!

      • 5.4.1 FishcalledWanda

        Hi Ladytron!
Potatoes are great, you can cook them, bake them, grill them, use them in soup or make them with a jacket on, all kinds of possibilities!
Food allergies are not nice! : ( You have to be super aware of what you eat. Are you allergic to a lot of things?

I read in the recaps that Girlfriday and Javabeans made fun of the last two episodes of GD, it sounded very funny. Noble Idiocy is one of those things that always surface and you really want to ban from the dramaworld!

My list to-watch is huge! I don’t know where I’m going to find the time!
I’m planning to watch Nice Guy, cause it sounds very thrilling with lots of twisted characters and twists. I’m also going to finish Arang, White Christmas and Faith. Oohlala Spouses sounds very funny and has that actor from Gaksital in it, so I want to check that out. Next is Panda and Hedgehog of which I’ve watched the first episode. I’m also a bit behind on Vampire Prosectur 2, which I really like. And alsoo missed the last episode of 1N2D, so that one is on the list as well! Aaand there is also History of the Salaryman, which I’ve wanted to watch for ages! Why is it that my to-watch list is always bigger than my completed list?

Are you watching any other dramas next to GD?

        • Ladytron33

Yeah, you have a few to look forward to!! Arang and Faith are both great, and I’m loving VP2. I’m also watching Ooh la la Spouses, but have mixed feelings on that one. It’s so funny and the actors are hitting the ball out of the park, but the husband character is just sooooooo hateful! It’s really hard to root for such a jerk. But you should still give it a go. I’m probably being too sensitive.

I started watching Full House 2 this week as well. It’s a lot of fun. I thought it would be over the top and campy, but I didn’t expect to enjoy it so much. They have it world-wide on Viki right now, just in case.

Those are the ones I’m watching live at the moment. I’m going to start God’s Quiz after I finish GD. I’m in love with the cutie King from Faith and hear he’s great in that one.

        • FishcalledWanda

Yeah I do! I already started Arang and Faith, but then uni kicked in, but I’m looking forward to finishing it. Even though Faith wasn’t really what I expected (or hoped) it to be, I still enjoy it (and Lee Min Ho).
Sometimes it can be enjoyable to hate a character if it’s not overdone.

I heard good things about Full House 2, so maybe I’ll give that one a try to. The two male actors are both on my list of favourites, so that should be a plus. I’m also in need of something funny after all the dry stuff I’ve been learning for mid-terms.

Ooh, I also wanna see more of the cute king of Faith! So that one’s on the list as well, it’s ever-growing!

    • 5.5 enz

      • 5.5.1 FishcalledWanda

Haha, sometimes you can’t find threads in the chaos of all the other comments! Glad you found mine ; )

Your chocolate slice sounds amazing! When I have time later this week, I’ll definitely try it out! Thanks for sharing!

    • 5.6 Sabah

Hey! : ) I am sorry I am late. I am so glad you made the cookies. They are such a wonderful treat and almost everyone who tries them falls in love.

I am missing Arang too but I have convinced my little sis to watch it, so I am kind of re-living it through her eyes.

      Wishing you all well.

P.S. JoAnne’s cheesy potato recipe was really nice. Thank you so much for sharing because I know people who would confess their crimes before giving up their recipes. I am much obliged.

      • 5.6.1 FishcalledWanda

Sabah!! I missed you on the OT Friday! : )
How was your festival last week?

Your cookies are impossible not to fall in love with, next time I’m making them for my parents and brother, I’m sure they’ll love it too!

How nice that your sister also watches Arang! I still have the last two episodes left, so I can convince myself it’s not really over. Luckily, mid-terms are almost over! Only three days left, whoo!

        • Sabah

The festival was wonderful! Thank you for asking.

Those cookies really are a kind of treasure given to me. I am so glad I could share it with you.

I’ve always had a thing for Lee Jun Ki ever since My Girl. It’s been wonderful to see him develop as an actor and Arang was a culmination of that in a way. Looking forward to see what he tries next. Shin Minah was beautiful and endearing as ever! I loved her ever since bittersweet life. Arang was a pleasure to watch, I never had anything to complain about, which is rare.

Wishing you much success in your exams and that all the answers come to you as easily as falling off a log! (I was going to say as easy as eating pie BUT I was flummoxed by the logistics of heating up my meal just now so…hehe)

          • FishcalledWanda

Ah, good to hear! Wishing you a nice week.

And I like it how such a thing as cookies can turn out like a treasure, given to you (and to me).

Lee Jun Ki never really did it for me. I watched Time Between Dog and Wolf and liked him in it, but wasn’t crazy over him. But now that I saw him in Arang I think I finally get why some people really like him. Now I’m planning on watching Time Between Dog and Wolf again!

Thank you so much! I really like you metaphor, haha! I hope your meal turned out alright ; )

          • Sabah

It’s strange how you can watch things and not notice people or characters but then something will happen and when you go back you are amazed at what you missed. I don’t know how it works but really it must be something within yourself that has changed, a new perspective. Recently I watched Nell’s ‘a day before’ MV and I had to go back and watch Moon Embraces the sun again for Sing Jae Rim.

I feel that Lee Jun Ki is really getting better with each project. I mean there was this intensity that he always brings to his roles which endeared me to him in the first place but I find that he has expanded his acting in a lot of ways. I love the way he portrays humour now, his timing is excellent. I also love how he is able to slip from funny to serious more easily now. It comes across more natural.

Yeah, I just ended up eating it cold out of the fridge…

So…mid terms? Wishing you much success.

          • FishcalledWanda

Yeah, that’s really true! Sometimes it’s the same with music. I listen to an album and I think it’s nothing special, but then some melody or a part of the lyrics gets stuck in my head and when I listen to it again I can’t imagine I didn’t think it was amazing before! Those albums or songs usually turn out to be my favourites.

Had my last exam today, and most answers came as easily as falling of a log! Thanks for wishing my good luck! And now I have freeeedom!! Dramas here I come!
I don’t know if you still read this thread, but I hope your week is going well : )

(And to celebrate my coming days of freedom I plan to make your cookies again tomorrow! What better way to celebrate?)

  6. Frances

    It’s been a long time!

    Happy OT drama beanies!

how is everyone? I just realized that full time job and studying online for a course so unrelated with your job will most probably go down the drain.

It’s a good thing I have kdramas to keep me sane…altough I can go insane sometimes with the plot twists and things in between.

I’m loving Nice guy. I stopped reading faith 3 episodes ago, I might go back at it in the near future. Arang and the magistrate ended magnificently!

With all my raves and (mostly) rants in life….

    Life is still good!

Got to sleep! although most people don’t have work on some Saturdays, I am not most people….hehehe….got to work hard for the money…

    Have a great day everyone!

    • 6.1 Shukmeister

      Frances –

I hope your day is smooth. I have to work a 12-hour shift tomorrow (Saturday) thanks to some vacationers and the impending storm. Still, I have a bag of ginger snaps to keep me company at work!

      Have a good weekend.

      • 6.1.1 Frances

Thanks shukie! Lucky you, you have ginger snaps…hehehe…

      • 6.1.2 enz

have a good one at work saturday. hope not too busy

  7. Korazy Lady

Morning, Beaners! Just a quick hello as I’m watching my 9 month old grand daughter this week, so she keeps me hopping!

All I can say is Nice Guy. Sooooo gooood. Every episode takes makes your emotions run the gamut. And that smirk of SJK’s at the end of episode 14 literally sent chills up my spine.

I hope you guys all have a favorite drama rocking your world at this week!

Also, can’t wait to meet some of you at the Big Bang noona trip 🙂

    • 7.1 oftheshore

A 9 moths old granddaughter? Aww! That must be both fun and exhausting:) I wonder when she will discover K-dramas…

      • 7.1.1 kakashi

I am guessing that she already has discovered them … right, Korazy Lady?

      • 7.1.2 Korazy Lady

Oh my gosh, oftheshore, I wish there was a way for me to post a picture on here. I took one of my granddaughter sitting in front of the computer that has a big picture of SJK on it. I sent it to my daughter as a joke. I swear, though, all my grandkids are fascinated by Kdramas! I think it must be all those beautiful faces 🙂

It is a great job being a grandmother, but it takes a lot of energy. Reading back over my post, I obviously have trouble forming coherent sentences while trying to keep one eye on the kiddo! Oh well, didn’t want to miss my OT!

    • 7.2 Shukmeister

Two more weeks, chingu, and then you will see the beauty that is me…. LOL not really, but I’m looking forward to seeing everybody!

      • 7.2.1 Korazy Lady

We are all beautiful (and young!) here on the OT. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

BTW, are you bringing some of those chianti cookies with you? I’m trying to figure out my contribution – I need more recipe searching *wink wink*

        • JoAnne

We’re bringing home made stuff? Hmm.

chocolate covered potato chips. I make ’em at Christmas and they go fast. You’ll see.

          • Korazy Lady

Oh boy, you guys are really upping the ante. How about creme de menthe brownies? That’s what I usually bring to picnics, etc.

          • JoAnne

we are so gonna puke – one night to wipe out 30 years of responsible drinking – sigh

          • Korazy Lady

Maybe they’ll let us out of jail faster if we’re all tossing our (chianti) cookies!

        • Shukmeister

I probably can. That would make my dad happy too, as long as I bake enough for both of us. lol

I’ve coerced a friend of mine to make me some of her signature Starbuck caramel macchiato cookies. If that comes through I’ll definitely have those.

    • 7.3 jєѕѕα™ 주원사랑 (@jung_kYro)

Oh! That smirk! SJK really knows how to deliver any kind of facial expression that is suited for the scene. He’s one of my favorite actors after watching Sungkyunkwan Scandal. I want to see him doing action-comedy drama soon.

With Arang, my week seems incomplete now that I don’t have AaTM on my watchlist. LJK and SMA is now one of my favorite OTPs!

    • 7.4 christy

Hello! I’m TOTALLY with you about Nice Guy. The smirk! The angry face! The shy side! I’m so invested in Eun Gi’s journey it’s ridiculous. Oh the angst! 🙂 This is the first drama I’m deliberately watching on different sites to get the perspective of differing subs!

My fav part of 14, was when Jae Hee was going to kneel and he caught her and juuuust when you see in her face like she totally thought she had him, he was all “disgusting” and walks off!! I was like OHTHANKGOD!! I think that moment just makes the smirk at the end so delicious!

I hope you guys have a blast on your Big Bang trip! I’m only very very recently dipping my toe in the kpop realm. I just let it be a kind of fringe awareness thing for awhile, but one day I decided to put the kpop Pandora station on and ended up liking so many Big Bang songs! Doesn’t hurt that they are all kinds of cute too. 🙂

      • 7.4.1 Korazy Lady

That Spoiler scene you’re referring to was awesome! I absolutely love how the writer messes with my mind!

        • christy

I know, it just hurts so good, ugh! 🙂

  8. JoAnne

    Good morning, My Wondrous Beans!

I’ll be back – we’re having Hurricane meetings all of a sudden. See you soon!

    • 8.1 Shukmeister

      JoAnne –

My office is doing the same thing. Updates on the hour and discussing whether to activate the emergency preparedness system. Since I’m working both of my days off anyway, I don’t think it will affect me, even if they call us in.

I’m just asking, Sandy, pretty please: DON’T HIT NEWARK!!

      • 8.1.1 zgznoona

It’sa good thing my unnis have their priorities in place. Nothing can ruin their awesome weekend in NYC/NJ

        • Shukmeister

Oh dang! I hope not either! That would totally Suk.

Send some rain over…. It’s been scorching hot today in Singapore!

          • ricky trh

LOL So many Southeast Asians today.
I’m blowing the rain cloud from the north. It should reach your place in about 12 hours.

        • enz

thats why i send prayers and thoughts and not rain la ricky hahahhaa

          • ricky trh

            I know la! 😛

I was wondering when your “la” will come out. LOL

          • enz

when i see fellow malaysians la!!!

      • 8.3.2 Shukmeister

        Terima kasih, Enz –

They are projecting that it will veer before it hits us head on, so it should just be heavy rain and winds.

I’m not on the ambulance this weekend but the police department, so even if it hits I’ll just hunker down and wait it out. I checked with the parents and siblings, and they are prepped. Hopefully this will be the last storm of the season.

        Take care!

    • 8.4 JoAnne

Ok here I am! It’s lunch time and I’m taking some time to actually not work, hurricane pending or not.

Here locally it looks like some bad weather, so personally I’m sure things will be fine. It’s just that a big storm can really throw things out of whack at work and thus I’m at risk globally, pretty much. Well. The Americas, Europe and Asia, anyway. I don’t have much in the Middle East.

One of the things I love about DB is that all day at work I’m involved with various countries and sometimes even cities where I can place actual people that I know here, and things you say here and on Twitter sometimes have actually helped me to understand current situations (holidays, weather, etc) where you are and thus helped me to avoid problems or plan for delays. It’s a happy circumstance and one I greatly appreciate for the enrichment it brings me both personally and professionally!

Now, let’s get to the important stuff!

Music – I’m enjoying the releases coming from Epik High and it seems like everyone else is too. Haven’t discovered anything new on my own, though, been too busy to search this week.

Faith – aww, this week just thrilled my heart to pieces. What is it I have to watch now, God’s Quiz? Because Ryu Deok-Hwan, you little adorable bit of lovable man you – I am a big, big fan. I will be sad to see this show go, failures of execution be damned. The PEOPLE executed, and that was enough for me.

Nice Guy – Holy Amnesia Train, Batman. Now she has amnesia about having amnesia or something but still, really – ok. Maru adores her. There is just no question. Please God, let him feel like he has been forgiven before his eventual death. Jae Hee you FREAK of a KDrama nightmare…how dare you continue to show bits of humanity and make it so hard for me to just hate you? Because I want to hate you. And I can’t. I can only be scared of you. Attorney Park you cute man who understands that love isn’t possession…is that what you were thinking when you lied to Eun Gi and said you never said that Maru was a bad guy to her? After your little hesitation in the hospital, which I read as acknowledgement that Maru’s place is by her side…have you decided that you will NOT keep him away from her in the future after you’ve used to him to help her? Because, yo, she’s gonna know you lied about it. How’s that gonna play out?

The Great Seer – you continue to be interesting AND hilariously funny and I continue to think of you as crack. Here’s hoping the adult seers are fun, because we haven’t gotten much of the child seers but the parent’s generation is CRAZY. Still getting a thrill out of an old, short, craggy Choi Young. Lee MinHot you do NOT age particularly well. I mean, the guy on his own isn’t BAD…it’s just that if he started out as you, he should end up better.

Time Between Dog and Wolf – I began this because Lee Jun Ki and because reasons. I LIKE it. I reallllllly like it. He’s about to go back to Thailand and start the undercover bit and I’m so excited for my weekend!

And now, I have a bit of an announcement. I’m not quite sure how to say this, but you’ve all been so good to me, and I think so highly of you. I can’t keep this secret any longer – it just feels wrong.

There. That felt good. And actually, the show feels good too. I have been giggling. Helpless, honest, oh my god those boys are nuts LAUGHING

      • 8.4.1 JoAnne

Ok I didn’t end my comment there deliberately but someone must have thought I was going on too long (because I was) so I’ll stop. But seriously – their hair is crazy and the clothes that look so bad – there’s a reason for it; and the plot to get them into the same house? Isn’t all that nuts. And the interaction between the 3 main characters is fun – but I do see some tender and sad moments coming – and the side characters are hilarious. Watch it. I can’t believe I’m saying this because I was expecting off-the-Jin-scale badness but this more of You’re Beautiful kind of feeling to the what the fuckery going on. I like it. And I’m just not going to be ashamed about it anymore. But I still feel a little confused about it.

        • cv

Hehehe I’m glad its funny. Otherwise, I was going to drop it. Oh well… I suppose I’ll continue on. LOL

        • Mar

Joanne said- “I will be sad to see this show go, failures of be damned. The PEOPLE executed, and that was enough for me. ”

Me too, girl, you said it succinctly.

FH2-Me too! I think I have just needed a bit of the silly, and wow, those guys are hamming it up like crazy. I love the diva k pop thing, because they remind me of actual k pop guys, it’s hysterical.

      • 8.4.2 oftheshore

The question that we all want an answer to re Old Choi Young is, does he have a wife with curly red hair and an awesome sense of humor hidden away somewhere? 😀

        • JoAnne

OMG that would be SO AWESOME. That would be the best fan service EVER in the HISTORY of fan service.

Wouldn’t you feel like KDrama just reached out and HUGGED you if that happened?

      • 8.4.3 Ladytron33

JoAnne, I’m so glad you came out as a fan of FH2! I’ve been looking forward to watching it, and am so excited I’m not the only one who gave it a try. I know it had such bad press, but it’s exceeded my expectations. So cute and fun.

I feel like I’m always admitting to having bad taste by liking these “terrible” dramas, but I enjoy light, fluffy, and silly. So far it has not disappointed on the zany front (the end of episode 1 was a WTF moment in such a good way!).

And I agree with you on Faith. It might not have been perfect, but it had a lot of strength in it’s “people”. Can’t wait to start God’s Quiz for my new discovery. Ryu Deok-Hwan is such a cutie.

        • bb

I started watching God’s Quiz yesterday and marathoned season 1. Ryu is abso-frickin-lutely killing it. Cannot recommend the drama (and him :P) enough.

          • Ladytron33

Awesome! I’ll give it a watch once I finish A Gentleman’s Dignity. I think I only have a few episodes left.

I like to have a show to marathon each week (if I can fit it in), as well as the two or three show’s I’m watching live. God, I’m so obsessed… At least I’ve totally stopped watching American television (except for a few sitcoms here and there).

          • bb

GQ starts off a little slow but picks up wrt the cases, etc. I find it on par with the CSIs and Criminal Minds. I continued watching it for Ryu who kept me intrigued with his excellent acting as the genius Dr. Han with dry humor. He’s so quotable, I would chuckle, rewind his one-liner/quotes, and crack up again. So witty. I’m already on Episode 3 of season 2 and his character is evolving, for sure.

Can you tell I’ve fallen for Ryu’s charms?! ;p

        • JoAnne

Hi Lady – I have no problem copping to the light and fluffy! I seriously thought that this was going to be BAD just flat out BAD based on what we were able to see beforehand.

Light and fluffy and BAD is not good. Light and fluffy and hilarious is perfect because I have to balance my deep desire for everything to end with Sang Doo levels of misery with…you know…sanity.

        • christy

Haha, I’ve been debating if I want to watch FH2 so thanks you two… I will. 🙂 I totally know what you mean about the admitting to bad taste feeling! My first dramas were ones that I later learned weren’t all that highly thought off in general, just mediocre I’d guess, but I still like revisiting their kind and remembering when I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. 🙂

          • Ladytron33

Give FH2 a shot. It’s actually pretty good in a “What am I watching?” sort of way.

So true about my first few dramas being “second string” ones! I had no idea what I was getting myself into either, so I just watched whatever I could find.

At this point, I watch what I am interested in and try and find a least one good point in each show so I can stick with it. That can be hard sometimes (I’m talking to you, the second half of A Gentleman’s Dignity!!).

          • christy

Hahaha, I never actually watched AGD, I did read a few of the recaps though. That’s the one thing that I get kind of frustrated about now, it there are too many shows I’d like to watch but I only have time for two or three at once and then they keep coming out with new ones. I feel like I’m getting “behind” sometimes, lol!

I watched the first part of FH2 last night, and yeah it’s wacky but I like it for sure. 🙂

      • 8.4.4 Korazy Lady

Wait, the Great Seer is funny?

        • JoAnne

Parts of it are – it’s not a comedy at all, but some of the people say or do things that will make you laugh.

Ji Jin Hee as General Yi (who goes on to kill our beloved Daejang in real life) is hysterically funny as a drunk, vain, insecure lout (who happens to be f-ing GORGEOUS) trying to figure out how to maneuver in a political environment.

The devious In-Im is hilarious because he’s so batshit crazy jealous over his woman.

There’s this other general who will remind you of that whiny guy that got put to death in Faith – only he’s more funny, less irritating, and then Pimp Ahjussi from DH2 does a funny turn as …I dunno what he is, and there’s just – there’s funny stuff here and there.

          • Korazy Lady

How about Ji Sung? Can I drool at Ji Sung or is his pretty face all covered with crazy hair? Cuz the first episode was just too violent for me, and I don’t know if I can sit through torture scenes for just Ji Jin Hee (as gorgeous as his is). I’d need at least 2 lookers to make up for the cruelty + violence!

          • JoAnne

Other than the bit at the very beginning we havent gotten to Ji Sung yet – next week I hope!

      • 8.4.5 erinthelibrarian

For some reason when I first read this I thought it said “PEOPLE were executed” and I wondered if we were watching the same drama 🙂

  9. saltandpepper

    good evening everyone 🙂

  10. 10 oftheshore

Hi everyone! How have you all been?
Another tough week for me, so much stress! However, I want to talk about the good stuff. On Saturday, I saw Romance Joe with a friend – wasn’t as good as I’d hoped it would be, but I realized that I can now understand impressively large (by my own standards, haha) chunks of dialogue in Korean.:) Also, we went to see Celeste and Jesse Forever, and it was much better than I expected based on the IMDB reviews. The director also did a quick Q&A after the film, which was a nice bonus, considering it was not a big premiere. Finally, I changed my haircut, and it’s giving me this amazing confidence boost – never underestimate the power of skilled hairdressers!
In K-drama news…nothing much, but I rewatch my favourite Dal Ja’s Spring episodes. I would like to buy me some Tae Bongs, please.

    • 10.1 kopytko

      Hi, Oftheshore!
I allowed myself a little rewatch, too – MiSa that is. It’s a good way to relieve stress, isn’t it? I mean, you know you’re going to like what you see.
As for the hairdresser – they are elusive creatures. Once you encounter a good one, get their phone number or make sure you can contact them some other way. I had a traumatic experience when I got the best haircut in my life and then I couldn’t find the hairdresser ever again. I went to that salon, but the other employee didn’t tell me anything, I looked in other salons, but the lady seemed to disappear into thin air. To make things worse, on that very day (9/11) nobody noticed my great hairdo, because there were important things going on in the world…

  11. 11 kewbie

Happy Friday, all! Skipped my exercise class today because it’s just one of those “blah” days for me. I guess that means I can’t overdo it with food this weekend. 😉 I got a lot of cleaning to do around here…my mom’s coming to visit. Gotta brace myself. Hope to catch up with you all later!

    • 11.1 enz

i skipped gym too so thanks to you i dont feel so bad about it now

  12. 12 ck1Oz

I am free… as a bird. Or rather as a drama watcher. Watched ep 1-12 My daughter Seo Young. Then watched ep 1-5 Nice Guy- am going back to ep 6. From yesterday.
My brain is mush and I am toast. My head is heavy but am determined to finish ep 8 before bed. 🙂

Happy OT everyone. Just to justify learning something Korean, because my last few dramas had so many swearwords. I asked one of the subbers to give me the lowdown for Korean swearing so I can memorize it. No, no, not to use it on someone. To recognize when it’s said. Can I say when I put it to Google translate- it’s terrible. More terrible than I thought. I would never ever dare to use it in real life. It’s worse than the F word.

I totally get it now why you guys were raving on and on about Nice Guy. Or were you all raving on about Maru and his expressive eyes. Props to all of you who suffered or started from episode 1.

    • 12.1 zgznoona

let me tell you that list of swearwords has me intrigue
Mostly for educational reason, one needs to know what is being said, even when is awful, to have a proper picture of what he/she is listening to

      • 12.1.1 ck1Oz

I am serious it’s for educational purposes. I am editing AM 1997 and Korean swear words are bad enough. Then you add on Gyeongsang do and Busan words. I am like ” do you want to kill me? I am here for the pretty boys ”

지랄한다 means epileptic ( I know!! ) but used for bullshitting.

씨팔, 씨발,씹할 F word so Koreans will ask you to not to say십팔 ( 18) but use 열여덟 so there is no mistake. The 18 is used as a wordplay for those 3 real swearwords.

재수없어 means unlucky. But used to say ” you suck”

I had a list of swearing for a male. And for a female. But I feel really bad now. Saying this on OT. You should see all of us, everyone said we all learnt a lot of swearing working on Gaksital and on AM 1997.

Night all. Me and my bad mouth 🙂

        • ck1Oz

미친년 this sounds simple like for crazy bitch ( to insult a female ) but the Google translate. OMG it’s much worse.

          • IzOcha

Thank you. This post makes many untranslated things make more sense. . . .and using google translate made me wonder if maybe they use Angle English instead of American English . . . because the translation of 미친년 is rarely used here (In America).

          • IzOcha

What I meant was that 미친년 would be fighting words in America, but are used in a more blasé manner in other locations.

          • Deeliteful

:-O Omg I just put that into google translate (what can I say curious mind). That IS bad!!! lol

  13. 13 Juillet Agasshi

Gah…I’m experiencing a Lee Jun Ki withdrawal symptoms post-Arang. Am I the only one? Anyone??? Is it really just me? *okay*

    • 13.1 JoAnne

Which is why I started Time Between Dog and Wolf last weekend. Cannot wait to watch more THIS weekend. It’s available on DC-net. Not great quality but I will take what I can get!

      • 13.1.1 Juillet Agasshi

Hi JoAnne…thanks for the info! I’ll check it out. Sooo glad to know that I’m not alone in this hardship 😀

      • 13.1.2 jomo

And you haven’t gotten to the good part(s)…
This meaning, of course, the scenes where you decide that giving up an organ for LKJ is not actually a bad idea.

        • JoAnne

I watched Fly Daddy Fly this morning – he was stunning to see and the movie was enjoyabe too!

    • 13.2 Lizzy4e

No, it is not just you!
Huge Joon Gi withdrawal. I am trying to fill the void with food! lol! not really, but I am feeling a bit lost without my weekly dose of satto. Glad I am not alone in this!

    • 13.3 shel

Me too. I haven’t watched Chilling Romance though, so that will be an easier (at least shorter) way to get my “fix”.

      • 13.3.1 JoAnne

that’s Min Ki, not Jun Ki, but yeah…it was a similar feeling.

      • 13.3.2 shel

They should stop with all the names that sound the same, lol.

    • 13.4 kakashi

I always have Jun-ki withdrawal, even if he’s in a drama … haha. I hope he gets another offer soon, he is very eager to be in a new drama soon, I hear!

      • 13.4.1 Juillet Agasshi

        @Lizzy4e, shel, jomo, and kakashi:
Omo, I’m SOOO glad that I’m not alone facing this sanity-threatening condition 😀 Nice to meet you all :). Have a great weekend!

  14. 14 neener

    Happy FRIDAY everyone!!

just finished watching Nice Guy episode 14. DAMN! that was some good episode. I hate to see a glimpse and be reminded about Maru’s illness(?) and also when he caught JH from kneeling, I was shock for a moment there! I thought his feelings were back!

and while waiting for Nice Guy… I started watching Third Ward. Love the cast and also I think Sooyoung’s doing a pretty good job! it’s just too bad DB is not recapping it. I kinda want to hear what the recappers think about it 😀

anyways have a good weekend everyone!

    • 14.1 jєѕѕα™ 주원사랑 (@jung_kYro)

i also like The Third Ward. I agree that SooYoung is doing good in that drama..and does she really know how to play viola for real?

      • 14.1.1 neener

I’m not sure if Sooyoung can really play, I’ll have to ask my friend who’s a big fan of SNSD 😀

    • 14.2 Korazy Lady

Episode 14 was awesome! I started watching Third Ward, too (mainly for OJH’s dimples) but haven’t had time to keep up. Once Faith is over, I’m going to try to get back into it. (That, and Arang, Ohlala Couple, and Queen In Hyun’s Man…..I need more hours in my day!)

      • 14.2.1 neener

this is actually my first drama with OJH, saw him on Running Man and he was adorable! and seeing him act is great too! I stopped Faith at around episode 4? I think…. I’ll get into those dramas you’ve listed! I mean 24 hours is definitely not enough!

  15. 15 shirin-noona

    Hi everyone.Happy Friday!
Do you guys think we should sign a petition online and ask the “Nice Guy” crew not to kill off Maru in the end?I’m beginning to really worry about him and I don’t think I can handle it if the poor thing dies in the end!:(

    • 15.1 kika

Yes yes yes! I think he has redeemed himself through his selfless love for eunki post amnesia. I’m already filled with dread of what is to come (collapse, emergency surgery) even if he lives… Please don’t die on us!

    • 15.2 Llamaesque

He’s so dead. As soon as drama characters start talking about divine retribution for the bad things they’ve done, it’s time to stop hoping for the best and start coming to terms with reality 😉

      • 15.2.1 shel

I haven’t started this yet, but if they kill SJK, I’m not watchin’, lol.

        • JoAnne

come on…it’s going to hurt SO GOOD. We knew he was going to die before they even started filming.

          • shel

            We did???

          • JoAnne

Those of us who had seen the previous work of this writer (A Love to Kill, Sang Doo…something else, too, can’t remember what) – yes, at that moment, I knew that he would die. And others mentioned as well.

          • shirin-noona

But nobody died in Will It Snow For Christmas.Wait!Song Joong Ki died in will it snow for Christmas!Oh noes…!

          • Korazy Lady

OH, geez, I didn’t realize this writer also wrote Sang Doo….there goes my last shred of hope….

        • Hillary

@Shel: I agree with you. I am only reading recaps and will not watch drama until I am sure that both OTP are alive through the end…

          • shirin-noona

@Hilalary and Shel: you guys are doing the right thing! If I knew what I was getting myself into I would’ve never started it either! But now I’m hooked and I just have to pray to drama gods to keep my boy Maru alive and healthy!(And also not blind!K-dramas have a thing for making their characters blind if they survive for some reason!)

      • 15.2.2 shirin-noona

Lol!But I REALLY don’t want him to die.Hasn’t he suffered enough already? I don’t care if it’s so unlike this drama,I just want this: and they lived happily ever after!:))

    • 15.3 kakashi

this is the writer of “A Love to Kill” we’re talking about, right? Better get ready for a very, very, very, very, very sad ending … ……

      • 15.3.1 shirin-noona

Why?Why?Why does this writer has to kill all her characters? Why?:(

    • 15.4 christy

I do not cry easily but if Maru dies, I think Nice Guy will earn the title of first drama to make me cry. Reading what everyone has to say about the writer and everything is seriously making me angst!!! I just want this to be the one time there is a surprise happy ending! *lipquivers*

    • 15.5 kdramapedia

I was holding out hope that Maru would be fine, but after watching episode 14…. Nope, he’s good as gone. I’m halfway in denial, halfway prepping myself.

My denial side is going to cross my fingers and hope that “dead man walking” sign stuck on his back is just an illusion. Maybe the writer will throw us a bone?

      • 15.5.1 Korazy Lady

I don’t think it’s a question of IF he’s going to die, I think it’s a question of who ELSE is going to die. If crazy bi-atch Jae Hee pulls a What Happened in Bali, I may need therapy afterwards!

        But we can always hope……

      • 15.5.2 shirin-noona

I’m totally in denial.Let’s hope that the writer kills Min-young and Jae-hi and then Maru and Eun-ki live happily ever after with lots of cute cute babies!

  16. 16 Leaf

    • 16.1 FishcalledWanda

      • 16.2.1 Leaf

By the way, Leaf, are there any updates on you and your guy? 😉

      • 16.3.1 Leaf

Yeah… did I not explain that nothing was gonna happen? 😛

      • 16.3.2 FishcalledWanda

Well, yeah, but you never know! And I’m super curious, lol

        • Leaf

          Haha… well I might tell people stuff…

          but honestly… there isn’t much too tell…

    • 16.4 shirin-noona

Someone’s really jealous here! Not me though;))
      Have an amazing time!:)

      • 16.4.1 Leaf

Oh I will!! Super excited!!! <3

    • 16.5 kewbie

Wow cool! I was going to go to BIGBANG in NJ but it turns out I’ll be flying to CA that same weekend, which I found out is the same weekend as the SBS Kpop concert in Irvine, CA! Of course, the hubby doesn’t want to go because it’s 80 miles from where we’ll be visiting. 🙁 Wah. Oh well! Take lots of pictures and enjoy!

    • 16.6 alaki

woohoo me too. can’t wait for london!!!

      • 16.6.1 Leaf

Ah maybe I’ll see you there!!!
I’ll be the short blonde girl haha

  17. 17 Saner

Happy Friday and Happy Weekend my fellow beans!

First post in an open thread – please take care of me 🙂

It’s finally the holidays here in France, but it seems that the dramas to watch are a bit thin on the ground – bearing in mine I watched the entirety og History of a Salaryman this week and have caught up on both Faith and Nice Guy this morning.

Omo, what’s a girl to do with that much free time on her hands? :/ Any recommendations?

    • 17.1 JoAnne

Answer Me 1997; Rich Man Poor Woman (it’s a J-Dorama); Arang & The Magistrate; Bridal Mask (Gaksital); Queen In Hyun’s Man. All recently aired (completed within the month) except for QIHM. All excellent.

      • 17.1.1 FishcalledWanda

Second that! What free time you asked? ;p

        • Saner

I’ve watched all of AM97, A&TM, BM, but Queen In Hyun has my interest piqued….Thanks guys!

          • JoAnne

ohhhhh, prepare to fall in love. HARD. And when you start to think they can’t possibly be faking it on screen, understand that you are in the blessed position to know up front that they actually fell in love during the filming of that drama and that he confessed to her publically during the interview after the last episode and 10 days later she went on the radio to confess that she had accepted him and that they were just going to queitly spend time together before he left for the army in a week or two WE all had to live through that, wondering.

Misty-eyed even now at the happy romance of it all. Plus the show is DAMN GOOD.

          • dramabliss

Queen In-Hyun’s Man. A MUST SEE!

      • 17.1.2 dramabliss

Agree wholeheartedly! Loved all the dramas you mentioned.

I am currently watching (marathoning) Queen Seon Deok. Am now in Episode 50 (of 62). One of the best (if not the best) sageuks ever. It has kept me at the edge of my seat since Epi 1. Although now that Mishil dies, am not sure if the tension will be as much in the remaining 10 or so epis.

That Go Hyun Jung! Just amazing!

    • 17.2 kika

How about watching variety? 1d2n season 2 has gotten its groove back, or you can given running man a try. Dramabeans does recaps of both, but best to watch and decide for yourself! It’s always funnier on screen.

      • 17.2.1 Saner

I’ve been reading the Variety recaps but have been too nervous to try watching them – do they have subs? Ah, well, at least my Korean will improve! 😀

        • FishcalledWanda

You can watch 1N2D subbed at
You have to make an account, but it’s very easy and totally free! I really recommend that show, it’s damn funny!

          • Ladytron33

I just started watching that this past week, Wanda! I’m so in love with the cast and their antics. Glad I gave it a try.

Actually, It’s the only Korean show I can get my husband to watch! He even requested a marathon tomorrow morning. Ha, he’s hooked.

          • FishcalledWanda

Yeah it’s great! I’m loving the relations between the cast members and also between the cast and BirdPD. I started it because of Joo Won, but now I just love everything. The games they play are so funny!

How nice to watch it together with someone! How did you get him to watch it in the first place?

          • Ladytron33

I basically told him he had no choice! Ha. It’s nice to get my way sometimes.

I’ve recently gotten my mother into dramas too! She’s marathoned a whole bunch of the older ones and just got up to ep 22 in Faith. She’s going crazy waiting for the end… She keeps saying I’ve ruined her life. Oh well 🙂

          • FishcalledWanda

Haha, that’s one way to get your way! Glad he cooperated!
I can’t imagine my mother watching Kdramas. And yeah, Kdramas can do that to your life ; )

    • 17.3 oftheshore

What dramas have you seen/liked so far?
As kika suggested, you could watch variety, or you might also consider watching Eat Your Kimchi videos if you want a break from dramas.

      • 17.3.1 kika

Just checked out Eat Your Kimchi. Thanks for the recommendation! The YouTube videos are really entertaining!

    • 17.4 enz

what about old ones like flower boy ramyun shop? if you havent seen it yet.

      • 17.4.1 Shukmeister

That’s a good one, but if you want REALLY old, try Secret Garden. Hyun Bin is scheduled out of the army soon, so you can get the before and after hit. lol

        • jomo

K drama land – where something that ended Jan 2011 is considered really old. LOL

          • Saner

Watched Secret Garden too (and even watched My Princess backlog as well) by I remember having to go on a break from K-drama around Flower Boy Ramyun Shop’s time.

Thank you so much everybody! My next fortnight is officially sorted! :DD

          • enz

haha i didnt mean it that way – meant older ones..

        • oftheshore

Hahaha, indeed! I was rewatching Dal Ja’s Spring, and telling someone how it was a ‘relatively recent drama’!

    • 17.5 Mystisith

      Bonjour compatriote! 🙂
I’m also not completely hooked on the currently airing dramas, except:
The 3rd Hospital. 20 eps. I was sure as hell it was 16.
The Horse Doctor. I’m not a sageuk person but there is animals everywhere so I’m happy with it.
Five Fingers: For the boys. Period.
May Queen: For Kim Jae-won (I’m even watching Wonderful Life for double dose of him) and the other male characters and the boats.
Full House is absolutely cheesy but funny. The horrendous outfits and hairstyles are going to grow on me: SeGa sparkling blue tracksuit syndrome.
Watching the Japanese Kekkon Shinai: Love it.
Waiting for subs for the Japanese doramas Priceless with KimuTaku, and Monster.

      • 17.5.1 Ladytron33

I just love Wonderful Life! It’s my go-to weepy drama. Poor Shin-bi baby 🙁 That crying scene she has near the end breaks me apart.

  18. 18 Anne

First episode of Can we Get married starring Sung Joon ang Jung SoMin was released on the official website already.

So far, i am liking it! Music director is kinda all over the place with his choices though. But somin is loooooove.

  19. 19 ricky trh

Hi, people! It’s been a while.
A warm welcome to the newcomers.
    Have a great weekend 😉

    • 19.1 oftheshore

Hello, ricky! How are you doing?

      • 19.1.1 ricky trh

Crawling on the floor, trying to survive. Okay fine, I’m just too lazy to stand up!

        How about you?

    • 19.2 Leaf

      OPPA!!!!! How are you?
Hope you don’t have to study too much! <3

      • 19.2.1 ricky trh

A legit “Oppa” still melts me, Leaf!
I’m not sure about studying but I’m swamped with assignments.

        • Leaf

Haha of course! It will always work 😛

And good luck with everything! <3

          • ricky trh

It’s the only thing that will turn me into a puddle of goo. My own sister refused to call me OPPA to this day.

          • Leaf

Well it wouldn’t be right if it was your sister…

And I really need to try and say Oppa to a guy one time…
I would say it to Sam but he would just laugh at me ^sigh^

          • ricky trh

I understand your pain. In need of a noona too.

          • Shukmeister

I had an officer at work do the horsey dance for a few seconds in front of me last week [burned out retinas] – so, no, don’t really want to hear the word “oppa” any time soon….

          • Enz

Ricky, let me know when you get in need of ahjumma 🙂

    • 19.3 ck1Oz

      Ricky!! How have you been?

      • 19.3.1 ricky trh

I’m good. Slightly overwhelmed with everything but that’s part and parcel of being a student.

I trust that you are well?

        • ck1Oz

Good. No current airing drama to work on so being a full time drama addict from this week. Already watched 18 episodes within a 36hr period. No sleep, or not much sleep.

          • ricky trh

I can relate to that. I’d kill to be in your shoes. Wanna trade? You don’t mind writing 4 papers, do you?

        • ck1Oz

Kekeke. I did my time already. Good luck.
Oh am thinking of taking a topic for fun at any Uni like Asian civilization or some Korean ANYTHING next year. Don’t know if I can get exemption or not since all my prev studies were science based. Science to Korean drama. Yay!!!

          • ricky trh

            Wow, that should be interesting!

    • 19.4 FishcalledWanda

Hi ricky! Haven’t seen you since the first time I commented here! Hope you have a nice weekend!

      • 19.4.1 ricky trh

Pray tell me, would you rather be called Fish or Wanda?
Have you watched Finding Nemo? Are you a clown fish?
Sorry for the questions but I need a mental image every time I see your name. What species of fish are you?

Yep, I was on holiday and I spent a lot of time with my family. I put dramas on hold for a while and was “gone” for a bit. I’m back in school but I still haven’t found time to watch dramas. Maybe after I’ve completed my assignments. I hope you’re finding your niche here in the OT. It’s always nice to meet new people 🙂

      • 19.4.2 FishcalledWanda

Fish is fine, but so is Wanda, you can choose whichever you like!
I’ve seen Finding Nemo! But I got my name from the same called movie. I like clown fish, but I always thought myself more of a zebrafish, cause I like stripes!

Aah, nice to hear. Always good to spend some time with family. Where did you go to? And thank you, I like to meet new people too! I hope you won’t be buried under your assignments and find some time to watch dramas again!

        • ricky trh

          Wanda it is!!!
I went to a seaside resort for a few days. It was fun!

          • FishcalledWanda

Ooh, I wanna go to a resort too~ I’m tired of having to study and write papers and try to say intelligent things in class!

          • enz

mana? please share so i can be jealous

    • 19.5 zgznoona

      Happy weekend to you 🙂
I hope you don’t get too overwhelmed with all the school work, now that you started a new semester.

      • 19.5.1 ricky trh

It’s always tough the first few weeks but I’ll manage 🙂

        • zgznoona

you know your noonas are here in case you need to vent, complain, or simply procrastinate 😉

    • 19.6 enz

hi ricky! ive been wondering where all the malaysians have gone – have a nice weekend yourself. hope you are enjoying the public holiday too – who doesnt?

      • 19.6.1 ricky trh

        3-day weekend! WOOO!!!!
And the roads are eerily quiet. Creepy.

        • enz

i love it when the roads are creepy like that haha – its the only time i would want to drive. but the malls are crazy then.

          • ricky trh

The malls are always crazy in our country!

        • ck1Oz

Dang I forgot about it even though it was on my FB. Have a great long weekend then everyone.

  20. 20 KDrama Fan

    Hello DB peeps!

Hope this finds you all well.

Did a little drama sampling this week. A little bit of an episode of ‘Ooh la la’, ‘Goodbye Dear Wife’, and ‘My Wife, Madame Butterfly’ and a few episodes of Vampire Persecutor before it got too much and I wimped out.

As always enjoyed the recaps here on DB for ‘VP’, ‘Faith’, and 1N2D.

Personally hanging out for some more romantic comedies.

    What are you all watching?

  21. 21 Ash

Anyone watching Full House 2? It’s gloriously terrible, and I think I might love it.

    • 21.1 FishcalledWanda

I decided I couldn’t take the awful haircuts and horrible clothes. Does that improve of does it stay eye-hurting bad? I do think that Park Ki Woong sports the blonde hair well, though!

      • 21.1.1 zgznoona

that blonde hair, first time I saw the pics a year ago it was painful to look at him. But right now, it kind of grew on me.
Besides, I’m enjoying the dynamics of the story, so far. *no longer feeling ashamed of admitting it*
I started watching ep1 just to see how awful was it going to be, and now I’m hooked

      • 21.1.2 Ash

The styling doesn’t improve, per se. It’s more that it wears down all your resistance. You almost have to appreciate the effort that goes into making attractive people look that awful.

        • JoAnne

hahahahahah I know right? And then you find yourself just going yah, he’s still really easy on the eyes, and you know you are lost.

        • Ladytron33

God, so true! Making beautiful people ugly has to be a hard thing. That blue track suit with the black lace capelet thingy. Soooo hideous. How can they justify her being a stylist? *shudders*

    • 21.2 myweithisway

I’m watching it! Technically speaking, Take 2 is actually more logical than the original, after all it makes sense that she’s desperate not to be sued or arrested…

I love PKW in blonde (and smirky, especially smirky).

      • 21.2.1 zgznoona

JoAnne unni was saying the same thing.
But still, she could reopen her online store with a different name, and do the same with school for the time being.
But if she were to do that, there would be no drama

      • 21.2.2 Ash

Park Ki-woong is GREAT. Didn’t watch Gaksital, but from what I know through recaps he must have ridiculous range. Playing a character like Shunji and then going right into this? Pretty impressive.

And agreed about the blond. No idea how he’s making it work, but omg is he ever.

    • 21.3 wintergirl

Ash, I like your “gloriously terrible” comment! I’m onboard for it. Am prepared to go on plot ride just because that’s fun sometimes. Do find myself skimming it some…4 little episodes of setup. Now ready to laugh at the funny shenanigans.

    • 21.4 ck1Oz

      Gloriously terrible might be right.
It’s actually better than FH 1 and I am not a fan. Was told to watch it and found it not so terrible after all. Definitely watchable everyone. Plus some of the subbers seem to enjoy it so it’s getting subbed fast on viki.

    • 21.5 Lizzy4e

I did not expect to like Full House 2 but, once you get past the awful hair, the story is solid.
What about that guy on guy kiss in the very first episode! I was not expecting that.

I am interested in the characters and am looking forward to the next episodes.

      • 21.5.1 Ash

And it was on par with or *better than* some drama kisses I’ve seen. We’re talking Spanish Inquisition levels of unexpected.

        • ck1Oz

Could we have had that kiss if we had it at night?I knew it was coming but it still shocked me seeing THOSE guys kissing.Shudder.This is not my type of fan service.

        • Lizzy4e

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! lol thank you for that laugh Ash!

    • 21.6 IzOcha

I made time to be here today just to wax super ecstatic about the “gloriously terrible” wonders of Full House 2. SO HELLO OT! Happy Friday! I am loving Full House 2. I’m impressed with “the spiritual cousin” aspect meaning they have actors and plot with depth (comparatively) and surprising amount of action. Besides I have adored Park Ki-woong for years. Getting burbles of happiness whenever he would pop up in some twee roll (in my own head, fangirling, “IT’S HIM! IT’S HIM! IT’S REALLY HIM!”). Anyhow, Full House 2 is wonderfully absurd.

    • 21.7 enz

thanks to this thread am watching full house 2 and i like it too. better than protect the boss. its funny

  22. 22 Trina

Anyone in USA… PSY “Gangnam Style” will be performing his first America concert in Honda Center in Anahiem, CA. It will be on Jan 26. Presale ticket today. Well, due to that I am busy with two kids and a hubby. I can not go. =( I am halfway watching Nice Guy episode 13 sub. OMO it is getting good and sad. I hope everybody have a great week-end!!!

  23. 23 JoowonLover

Like your screen name lol! Very funny video, that dance move is hilarious.

    • 23.2 Saner

Aigoo, even in the torture scene…

The tears…they won’t stop flowing *presses replay*

  24. 24 karecity

i’ve posted here before but not very frequently due to exams (yep still a student. kinda shocking to see grandmothers here ><)

but i need help! i've been watching Conspiracy in the Court and i don't really understand whats happening! anyone who has watched it and would kindly explain the plot? i'm almost done and i still cant make heads or tails of the story.

also watching Nice Guy, which is AWESOME. ep13 was amazing. impressed by the whole cast, and the director. and the boy who plays eunseok is soooo adorable!

    • 24.1 Korazy Lady

      Hi Karecity!

I am possibly the oldest person on here, but I just want to say that there is no distinction in age, race, or nationality among drama lovers – that’s what makes Dramabeans so awesome! And obviously we both share a love of Nice Guy despite our ages. (Plus I’m a very young grandmom – not necessarily in age but in spirit. I’ll be running my first 5K and going to see Big Bang all in the same week.)

I love reading everyone’s comments, as I think every person has something of value to add, even if I disagree with them. So hopefully you will return to the OT often – I can say from experience that I’m sure you’ll run into things more shocking than this as you live your life! 🙂

      • 24.1.1 karecity

        Hey Korazy Lady!
haha i come from a family of drama lovers – my grandmother, dad, mum etc. they just arent tech savvy enough to post comments like you!
omg running 5K! thats so admirable. i’m young and running 2k is enough to make me dead tired. ohh BB came to my country about a month ago! but the tickets were sold out within 5 minutes so i didnt get a chance to see them. my friends who went for it say it was awesome though. you’re definitely gonna enjoy it 😀
i do often read comments too just to know what others’ opinions are, but i’m more of a lurker. thank you for the reply 🙂

  25. 25 mud

Just wondering if anyone is watching semi-recent HK dramas? Any recs?

I just started episode 1 of The Hippocratic Crush…and it seems promising. I can tell the boy intern is going to drive me crazy with his OTT immature act, but the rest of the cast are alright. I haven’t touched an HK drama since Rosy Business because HK dramas have been sucky in recent times, hence my conversion to Kdramas. Though I must admit I do miss TVB a bit at times…. just blind past devotion to the TV station that I grew up with, despite its obvious faults.

  26. 26 zgznoona

    Happy OT!!!
So another weekend is here. I hope you all had a great week, my went by really fast. Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, since I didn’t have time to finish everything I was suppose to do.
On the drama front, I’m no longer ashamed to admit I’m enjoying FH2, despise the awful hair styles and clothes. That track suit in ep 4 was so… *looking for a word to describe that ugly thing* how can somebody put that wear that!?1 Seriously, SeGa track suits were at least wearable.

    • 26.1 ck1Oz

Oh you mean the cheap trackies with the lace shawl look to make it more feminine?
I nearly died laughing at her in purdah at the preview. The writer or the stylist must be nuts. No one can even imagine the clothes she/he puts them in. And that Asian Annie hair * facepalm *

      • 26.1.1 zgznoona

        The lace was a nightmare.
I hope they a subject to hair style change in later episodes. Let’s pray to the drama Gods.

    • 26.2 FishcalledWanda

I also heard that there is supposed to be a kiss (mouth resuscitation) scene between the two male leads at the end of the series!

      • 26.2.1 FishcalledWanda

And just as I posted this, I see people are already talking about that fact in other comments. Guess I’m behind the facts, lol

      • 26.2.2 zgznoona

actually at the end of ep 1

        • FishcalledWanda

Well that’s one way to end your first episode!

    • 26.3 JoAnne

I was just sitting here thinking about FH2 and my brain brought up that little Dance Instructor/Gambler guy. His hair. His dance moves. His VOICE. When I heard ‘Do you know the pain of the migratory bird?’ just now in my head, I began laughing out loud all over again.

This show is awesome. I am so happy that this show came into my life.

      • 26.3.1 Korazy Lady

Based on everyone’s comments, I’m downloading it now. I need to be stocked up on downloaded episodes in case we really get socked with the hurricane this week – as of now I’m exactly where it’s supposed to hit the worst. I’m going to charge up every laptop and tablet I have (no matter how old) so I can get maximum watching time when the power goes out!

  27. 27 hazel

    Hey Everyone!

Happy Friday! Is anyone watching the drama My daughter Seo Young? I watched the first 3 episodes on and am anxiously waiting for the rest of the videos to get subbed. Does anyone know another site with subbed episodes? Other than that, I’m really enjoying Nice Guy. I wish I understood Korean 🙁 Anyhoo, feeling super good today and super excited to start my new job next week! I recently had to face a lot of tough decisions lately so I’m super happy that things are slowly starting to work out 🙂

  28. 28 enz

happy OT everyone.. we are having a public holiday today – muslim celebration (haj). and ive mostly spent it in bed on account of the long hours of work the day before.

am watching protect the boss just to see who choi kang hee is – find the drama pretty ordinary – neither very good nor very bad. was hoping she would be full of quirky charm but unfortunately dont find her so. am hoping thats more because of the script than the actress herself.

finished city hunter some time this week and really like joon hyuk in it. love his intensity there, more so than lee min ho.

everyone seems to love nice guy so am thinking i must give this melodrama a try. its actually showing on tv too but its easier to watch online at my own time.

whoops.. 1n2d showing soon. have a good weekend ALL!!

    • 28.1 ricky trh

My bed was being very possessive today too.

      • 28.1.1 enz

honestly, being horizontal is my natural state of being. such a chore to have to sit. bought a sofa bed for the guest cum AV room but have made it into a permanent bed, which means almost everything can be done in this horizontal position. only need to be upright for very few reasons in my home :p

        • Leaf

Am I the only one who read this and took the dirty meaning from it…?

          Sorry… I apologise for my dirty mind…

But yeah… bed is awesome <3

          • enz

no apologies needed for dirty minds but unfortunately the truth is more medical – i am spineless unless walking and standing are required. heh

          • ricky trh

Are you old enough to have thoughts, Leaf? LOL
But yeah, I do love my bed!

          • shel

            Only barely, lol!

Hi Leaf!!! Long time, no talk to!

          • Leaf

YES!!! I am 19… totally old enough to have such thoughts!!

    • 28.2 FishcalledWanda

Happy public holiday then! : )

      SPOILER for City Hunter *
Seeing as you liked Joon Hyuk more then Lee Min Ho what did you think of the fact that his character died at the end of the series? I cried my eyes out when that happened, and was a mess for the rest of the day.

I thought Protect the Boss was very funny until the last few episodes, which really dragged. I liked Choi Kang Hee there, but found her not really special. I’m praying that she and Joo Won will have some kind of chemistry together in their new drama..

Also, why sit or stand when you can be lying down! So relaxing. I tried to study in bed, but I failed cause I fell asleep!

      • 28.2.1 enz

yes i bawled too – it was done well in that he was totally heroic in that act of death. and i dreaded it as soon as he promised the ex wife to take up the second chance. i really loved his character most in the drama.

i thought the finale a little overly melodramatic at the death scenes of the father but otherwise i liked the ending that he went off on his own.

protect the boss is unremarkable to me. and i dont find CKH charming or quirky so can only hope that it was tthe script and directing that is the reason. i can see that she doesnt conform to the typical k actress pretty but i do prefer unique quirky charms to just beautiful. unfortunately i dont see that in her yet.

still looking forward to the drama and hoping with the right ingredients, itll turn out great

      • 28.2.2 FishcalledWanda

Yeah, as soon as he said that to his ex-wife I knew she would never see him again. His character was so heroic! But it was also very sad! I think the very ending was a bit rushed, they could have done better, but it was not bad.

I’ll definitely check the new drama out, and I’ll probably still watch the whole thing even if its toe-cringing bad just for Joo Won!

      • 28.2.3 JoAnne

HO….HO….holy CRAP wait I knew this but I forgot when I watched it – you mean the young Uhm Tae Woong in Architecture was PROSECUTOR in City Hunter?

        • JoAnne

no. that has to be wrong. I can’t have that right.

        • FishcalledWanda

Ah, noo! Prosecutor was played by Lee Jun Hyuk and young Uhm Tae Woong was played by Lee Je Hun! The similarity!

          • JoAnne

            World, righted.

    • 28.3 Mystisith

Another Joon-hyuk’s charm victim. Welcome to the club. I want that guy in a rom-com once his MS is over. Stat.

      • 28.3.1 enz

i second that!! its time he gets to be lead.

  29. 29 dany

Hello, everyone, and Happy Friday! Who’s watching Full House 2? It is crazy and fun and full of people that have weird clothes and stupid haircuts. And how about the kiss between No min woo and Park ki woong – was that shocking or what?!

    • 29.1 Lizzy4e

That kiss was a full-on lip to lip, spit swapping, tonsil tickler. and yes, it was a shocker. (okay, there was not any tongue involved. but it was still stand up and say Whoa! shocking.)

It is possible this kiss played too a whole different demographic then I belong to.

  30. 30 Shukmeister

    Happy Friday everyone!

I didn’t want to post until I finally finished Episode 12 of my 18 vs 29 recapping job, so naturally, my lappy decided to have a conniption with the screenshots. It’s finally done – yay!

I’m done with Arang, and give it about a 8.5~9. It hit all the right notes, and I thought the ending was not bad, and a much better resolution that QIHM or [ugh] Big.

I’m still wondering about the ending of Faith. There’s still a lot to resolve in two hours, and a lot of territory they haven’t really explored: Hwata and her earlier self, the changes/not changes in history due to her presence, heck even the tired, old “will the poison kill me”. Show, I’m guessing a rushed ending, but please don’t make it a lame one!!!

I’m also watching the TWDrama “When Love Walked In” and I’m down to the final 10 episodes (it’s a total of 32). It’s a sweet little drama, made better by the three main hunks, one of which has the same plastic surgeon as Choi Siwon. He’s in Suju-M, so that may be a factor.

Anyway, with Hurricane Sandy bearing down on the East Coast, the precinct is buzzing with preparations, so it’ll be a busy weekend.

I’m finally back on track with my writing. Well, sort of back, as my NYC preps are encroaching on my freetime. But I have written a couple of chapters and I hope to post them this week.

Next week, I want to reveal the final plans for the Movie Noona East Coast meet-and-greet starring BIG BANG!!

    Please, Sandy, don’t whack Newark!!

    • 30.1 enz

hi shukmeister ! happy OT and have a good weekend. hoping that the hurricane warnings come to nought

      • 30.1.1 Shukmeister

I’d rather they come to nougat. Oh wait you aren’t talking about food – lol!

Getting ready to walk into the precinct door now, and it’s gray and spitting outside. Just the advance guard, though, so I expect it’ll be worse soon.

        Mempunyai hari Sabtu yang baik!

        • kakashi

did anybody say nougat? I want some too!

          • FishcalledWanda

If there is nougat involved, count me in!
But hopefully the hurricane won’t be too bad! I hope everyone is safe.

        • enz

terima kasih. kalau tak kerja, mesti baik. ada masa untuk drama!

hah! try that on google translate.

          • ricky trh

I will translate for you, Shukie!
            Google translate is so wrong.

Enz said it’s always good if she doesn’t have to work because she has time for dramas instead.

Why are both of you speaking Malay? LOL

          • enz

            SHE started it :p

          • Shukmeister

            Kotohuadan-la, Ricky!

Google, Microsoft, and malaytranslatedotcom were similar to each other, but wayyyy off the mark. lol

          • Enz

I checked with google translate. It did good till it translated that I have no time for dramas!! Instead of I have time for dramas! Complete opposite to what I said

          • Shukmeister

That’s the trouble with translators, or even learning a language, is the differences in syntax and meaning. Still, it’s fun to try and figure it out!

    • 30.2 Leaf

      BEANIES UNITE!!! <3<3<3

      • 30.2.1 Shukmeister

THANKS LEAF!! I have no doubt I’ll be hoarse and sore at the end of it. Now it’s down to final preparations…

        • Korazy Lady

Sore? OMG, now what are we doing????? Are we going to be Gangnam styling through Korea town? I hope the only thing that is sore is my stomach from laughing so hard at the noonas’ comments!

          • Shukmeister

Hey we gotta shake it like we mean it! lol

  31. 31 shel

I’m here, and alive. Haven’t been on much for the last few months. I still lurk, just haven’t posted. Hubby still out of work, but he’s got a couple of leads and did a little contract job last month. So we aren’t starving yet. I’m not super worried yet…ask me in a month. Giant tax return helped, too, thanks to our awesome CPA/taxman.

Dramas..currently airing, I’m only following Faith. LIfe is just too busy these days. When I get another extra bit of time, I’m watching Arang, as I missed it when it aired. Love both of them….both have flaws, but I’m enjoying them immensely. Watched the first ep of Great Seer, looks incredible. Maybe I”ll pick that up when I finish Arang. If JiSung is in it, I’m there.

Celebrated our 17th anniversary a few weeks ago. No money to go anywhere, but that same weekend we had family visit, so we had a good time anyway. I love my Sam, he’s been in a whirl of organizing and throwing stuff out (YAY!!!!….You have NO idea how big a deal that is). I’m loving it. Hopefully it gets finished before he gets a job. You know how when you organize, the mess gets bigger before it gets better? That’s where we are and if he goes off to work before the “it gets better” part, it’s gonna suck.

Chili cookoff at church tonite. I usually make chili from one of those seasoning packets. I think I’ll try it from scratch today.

Those on the east coast, hang on to your hats, and houses etc, through the hurricane. Stay dry!!!

    • 31.1 zgznoona

      Good morning Shel
Nice to see you around 🙂

    • 31.2 jomo

Shel – crossing my fingers and toes for your husband!
Maybe something will appear from an unexpected source!!

    • 31.3 Shukmeister

Glad you made it to OT, Shel!

  32. 32 John

    Friday! Hello DBOTs.

Watching: Faith, Great Seer, May Queen, Innocent Guy

Great Seer is my fav out of those.

    Have a great weekend.

Oh, yeah I checked out a series from Argentina on Viki. My Fat Valentine . Lol.

    • 32.1 John

Sorry, it’s My Sweet Fat Valentina (Mi Gorda Bella) from Venezuela.

    • 32.2 zgznoona

      Happy Friday, John!!
I haven’t tried Great Seer yet, but I’m hearing good comments. I might try it. But after Arang and Faith, I really don’t feel like watching another sageuk.
To think that last years sageuks were really good, I wonder what happened to the writers/PDs this year

      • 32.2.1 John

        I watched the SPEC movie.

It was funny in parts w/ a big dose of WTH was that.

        • zgznoona

I know. I think the movie was a big joke between the movie team and the fans. It has a lot of cultural references and jokes and they probably did it just to have fun (and milk the cow, of course)
They just wanted to have a good time and the the fans with them

    • 32.3 kopytko

      Hi, John.
If you’re at Argentinian dramas, have a look at Wild Angel / Muneca Brava. It was a great hit in my country. The songs from OST are still popular, too. On the surface it looks like cliche Cinderella story, but it is really funny and the characters are remarkable.

      • 32.3.1 John

        kopytko ~

Thanks for the recommendation. I see that Viki has it.

  33. 33 Ennayra

    Good afternoon!

    Dramas watching:
    Vampire Prosecutor 2
    Panda and Hedgehog

I’m the type of person who likes to marathon dramas, so I was kind of dismayed to be all caught up on Faith and VP2.
So the other day I started Panda and Hedgehog. So far I like it (4 eps in), mainly b/c of Lee Dong-hae, who plays the main male lead. His character is refreshing b/c he’s so positive and affectionate – you don’t see that much in the male leads. I’m not a SuJu fan really (Big Bang is VIP!), so I didn’t know Lee Dong-hae before this.

The female lead is pretty standard. All the desserts have got me wishing for cake though. Did anyone else watch this drama?

    • 33.1 Mystisith

Watched Panda. It was uber cute and yes, Donghae won me over (wasn’t the case in Skip beat). Him and his GrandPa made me vomit rainbows… And eat tons of cakes but that’s another story.

      • 33.1.1 Ennayra

Hehe. Vomiting rainbows sounds about right. I usually avoid food dramas like the plague, but I think I’m up for this one :-).

Going to watch episode 5 now!

  34. 34 jomo

    Good Friday and Saturday!

I wanted to share my last marathon – Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctors (2010) experience to see if anyone has watched it.
I decided to take a peek at 10PM on a Tuesday to get me some SJK, and found I was still engrossed 5 episodes later and still awake!!

They talk about and show just about EVERYTHING you can on TV, and I am not exaggerating.
    And there’s blood. EVERYWHERE.
And babies – pretty, sad, sick, crying, happy babies. You really need to gird your stomach, loins and tear ducts to watch it.

They talk about all the taboos related to birth control, adoption, disabilities, out of wedlock babies, affairs, marriages of convenience (for cash.)

The main cast was good, but no superstars.
I can see why someone who started out as green but as popular as SJK, stays humble. He’s surrounded by first class supporting actors, who, if they were lucky enough to be as beautiful as he, would be bigger stars. He has come a long way in acting skills since that show two years ago.

One of the things I like about it is the guest stars each couple episodes. I am playing “Guess what else they were in?” in under 30 seconds. Sometimes they are regulars on dramas, and sometimes they are victims of crimes in Ten or VP. Almost all of them have died on screen at least ONCE.

And he’s green, uri SJK. This is before SKKS and after Triple. He’s like a puppy dog who can’t control his wagging tail at the start, but calms down as it goes.
And pretty! Did I mention he’s pretty and pouty?

Of course, I fell in love with Go Joo Won (now in the army) and Suh Ji Suk on the way. Great bromance, too.

    • 34.1 whimsicalnet

Yes! I watched Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctors and liked it and yes the lovely SJK was his lovely self. And all the babies and issues really touched me, maybe because I’m a mom myself and can relate to some of the feelings and issues that surfaced in the show. Actually I find myself more interested in those rather than the lovelines.

      • 34.1.1 jomo

No spoilers, but they really did save the best one for last.
I was screaming at the screen.
“Yes!! Keep walking! Doctor, turn around!”

I had a towel to sob into because I ran out of tissues.

    • 34.2 Mystisith

Jomo! Long time no see here!
I saw Ob/Gyn a while ago and I LOVED it. Great stories, funny, sad, well acted. It has that ER quality.

      • 34.2.1 jomo

Do you remember the upper class lady who wanted to adopt the hs student’s baby?
It’s your girl – Kim Jung Nan! With really bad hair, btw.

        • Mystisith

I should rewatch then. Didn’t know her at the time.
          Long live The Queen!

  35. 35 Unnursvana

@swurbel I don’t spend that much times in the comments on this site, I just lurk mostly so I don’t know why I can’t reply to you. The Vlogbrothers are brothers are do video blogs on youtube. :).

Like I said, I don’t usually comment. I think I have commented on OT 3 times in the past. I am only watching Nice Guy at the moment, I miss watching Arang. I am considering watching Warrior Baek Dong Soo again, to have something to do before I Miss You comes on.

I don’t think I will be able to watch Nice Guy this weekends, like I usually do (I use the weekends mostly to catch up on dramas) because my twin, her bf and her baby are visiting me.

Also tumblr is down and I don’t know what to do with myself.

  36. 36 whimsicalnet

    Happy OT folks!

It’s a long weekend where I am. I’m still recovering from Ojakjyo Brothers… yes I know, super late start but I didn’t believe that I could watch a 50+ episoder in the first place. But it’s pretty good and of cos, I love Joo Won and several other actors in it… and after OB and Arang, I see a bright future for the actor who was Tae Pil/Joo Wal (sorry, can’t remember his name, I’ll look it up soon!). I am in awe of the way he dealt with these two characters and made them so memorable.

    • 36.1 Mystisith

Fell in love with Yun Woo Jin aka Joo-wal and maknae oppa. We almost had a fight on the Arang thread to decide who “mines” him. A long list of shippers and it’s deserved.

      • 36.1.1 whimsicalnet

definitely one most deserving of all the love!

    • 36.2 enz

i loved ojakgyo – it brought me to k-land and all its inhabitants. i think all the actors did a great job in ojakgyo. and i liked the ending for tae pil’s love story there.

  37. 37 Laya

I have not been on the OT in a while! Hi, everyone. Hope you are having a happy weekend.

    Dramas done watching:
    -To the Beautiful You
-Noriko Goes To Seoul (because I finally remembered to watch it. Cute.)
-Nodame Cantabile (including the special and the movies)(J-drama)
-Ouran High School Host Club (J-drama)

    On the local front:
-local versions of Coffee Prince and Temptation of Wife are airing, but I haven’t watched it yet
-Sungkyunkwan Scandal is airing in local dub starting Monday

    • 37.1 John

      Nodame! I love that show.

The anime is worth watching too.

      Sungkyunkwan Scandal- I enjoyed it.

It has Park Min-young and a bunch of guys . 🙂

      • 37.1.1 Laya

        Hi John. 😀

I can’t believe I didn’t watch Nodame before. I read the manga first before watching it (it’s quite long, whew). Hiroshi Tamaki (Chiaki) is so pretty and all the classical music is awesome. 😀 If I had a gripe it’s that Chiaki was rather fond of smacking people around (even in the manga, so I can understand why it’s in the drama) but still. Also, I love the titular character (Nodame). 😀

I also read Ouran before watching it– it’s a very enjoyable parody of shoujo cliches. 😀

SKKS was where I first saw Song Joong Ki (and Yoochun, PMY and Yoo Ah In too now that you mention it). But Gu Yong Ha is my favorite character, so… was it only two years ago? I’m glad it’s airing locally, so more people here will have a chance to watch it!

        • John

SJK was so pretty in SKKS. Sorry PMY.

          • Laya

            ^MTE 😀

After two years, of all the SKKS characters, it’s my SJK love that still endures. 😀

  38. 38 Kim Yoonmi

Still watching Oolala couple. If you don’t look for deep philosophical meanings and don’t mind gag antics, then this week was really your week.

    She/he gets pregnant. A man delivering a baby. =P

Picked up Horse Doctor, but the similar format to Dong Yi and Dae Jang Geum has me rolling my eyes… variety, just a bit would be nice. Challenge yourself.

Starts with baby being born with a scandal and birth secret/secret. Then go to cave. Then parent/foster parent dies because of an arrow wound/sword slash. They are deluded their parent is alive and talks to them as if they are… I’ve just described all three dramas.

Also Full House 2, loosely watching on back burner while I’m doing other things.

Great Seer is on Reserve, waiting for Faith to finish which I have to sub this week.

And the Japanese dramas are screwing me over. >.<;; Too many.

I picked up Tokyo Airport with Fukuda Kyoko. She doesn't play someone vapid in this one, and kinda seems mature (though it might be the hair) I know it's a propaganda feel good over the top drama, but I still like it.

Yuusha Yoshihiko to Akuryo no Kagi is still funny. Ahh… I love Monty Python for similar reasons to this one. The gags are really good. (And the in jokes are great).

I watched but also dropped Koukou Nyuushi… the tone was odd and not much happened in comparison to that tone.

Still watching Kekkon Shinai with a super wary heart. I know they are going to burn me.

Still love Kodoku Gurume 2–light watch, Japanese food, how can that go wrong? It's an easy series, though not on an empty stomach.

Picked up Ooku: Arikoto Iemitsu Hen– Hitsorical drama, it is dripping money of all kinds. the fabrics are rich and since I like the manga, watching this one.

Tokyo Zenryoku Shoujo is still funny, though the first episode was funnier. the father-daughter relationship is still selling it for me.

Also watched Spec the movie ('cause I liked Spec 1 and 2). I liked several of the in jokes. (Especially the one at the very end, which was a subtle in joke about timing)

Skipping Reset (too many characters for 10 episodes)

Going to try this week: Monsters, Hana no Zubora Meshi

(probably missing others, but I have to scale back… since I'm about to get slammed with K-dramas)

Still watching Miss Rose. If it's already lagging at this point why am I watching it? I know I say it often, but I still don't know why I'm watching it. We're barely halfway through too.

Ooku: Arikoto Iemitsu Hen sounds good.

I’ll have to take a look.

      • 38.1.1 Kim Yoonmi

*nods* It’s where they flipped the roles of the men and women in history (Arikoto in Japanese history was actually a woman), but the gender reversal is done very, very skillfully that it says loads by switching like that.

    • 38.2 Kim Yoonmi

Has Yamapi. The acting is a bit weird, but it’s probably more on the director. The humor is supposed to be gag, though I don’t find it that funny. It starts out like it’s supposed to be all dark and then pulls the rug on you.

Yamapi plays someone super naive and Katori Shingo plays someone who likes playing pranks and has a dark side to him.

They solve cases together. Humor doesn’t work for me, but the rest of it does.

    • 38.3 Kim Yoonmi

      Hana no Zubora Meshi

About a lazy housewife whose husband is gone on assignment, so she’s left to her own devices. Their apartment together has gotten really messy, so she spends most of the day sleeping and then thinking about cleaning up. Then she gets hungry and cooks some [awful] things. Tone runs wacky/slice of life-ish.

Has a bit of the appeal of Hotaru no Hikari in terms of someone without the perfect house. Also has some funny commentary on the side. (Like a lazy person’s way to clean house) Probably will appeal to older women rather than teenage women.

Episodes only run 20-30 minutes, so it’s not that much of a commitment. I’m probably picking this one up. It makes a good set with Kodoku Gurume since the main character of that is Goro and this wife’s husband’s name is Goro and eating in the opposite direction.

/random A local church played “Gangnam style” (I can hear it from here) and I was like, “When did K-pop come to the US?” Eh~ Most of the US seems like snobs about that kind of thing… (I mean the professional industry).

      • 38.4.1 Hillary

In the US is nothing… Imagine my surprise when I heard Gangnam Style playing at a swim meet in Trinidad (an island in the West Indies) … in quite heavy rotation, if you please … and all the youngsters were dancing it… LOL

  39. 39 Carole McDonnell

    Hi all:

Am watching Ooh la la spouse which is sooo good. Yep, he’s pregnant now. I’m assuming he’s gonna keep the baby although the cliffhanger is he’s now in the position of waiting to get baby aborted. Some folks say the switch thing is repetitive or old but I don’t think so. It’s cute, and there’s that fantasy element. The wife (the female wife) really is a saint though. And the actor who plays the wife is just so good at doing female woundedness.

Also watching Ooku: Aritoko etc. Am really liking it. Japanese period samurai piece about a female shogun and the pure-hearted monk who gets ensnared into her harem/ooku. I hadn’t thought I would like it and I generally avoid Japanese dramas but this is soo good and there’s a feeling we’ll get a lot of honest emotion instead of preachy J-drama ending platitudes.

Gave up on Kekkon Shinai because I just get the feeling it’s gonna end in some way I really don’t want. A kind of weird affirming of the status quo or some equally annoying “surprise” ending where the characters’ goals are flipped. Whatever they will do in this drama, I get the feeling I’ll have seen it already. And I do not want to waste my energy and heart and get annoyed at the finale.

Watching Monsters cause Yamapi is in it and well, I have a little crush on him. Watching Yuusho Yoshihiko. Waiting for the subs for Hitorishizuka

Not sure I want to commit to Madame Butterfly. When it’s with the normal folks at the family homestead, I really like it. But when it gets with all the big wigs and stock investments and cheating and chaebols, my eyes kinda gloss over.

Intend to watch Ugly Cake but am waiting for the subs. Also waiting to watch A Good Day for the Wind to Blow. I might like it. Who knows?

I have to catch up on The Great Seer. Loving Vampire Prosecutor. They’re like old friends. I really connect to this cast. Really liking Innocent Man but the memory loss again bit… aaargh!

Still gotta finish my marathon of Playful Kiss and will try once again to sit through City Hunter. Not sure why I didn’t like it back in the day. Happy weekend, all.

    • 39.1 Mystisith

Vampire Prosecutor cast like old friends. That’s so TRUE. Have you seen the BTS videos? I don’t watch 1N2D but I’m sure that’s the feeling you get: A family on screen.

      • 39.1.1 Carole McDonnell

No, i haven’t seen the behind the scenes stuff. I should, uh? Thanks. I’ve never seen 1N2D but I used to watch We Got Married…and that feeling was so there. Thanks.

  40. 40 drama_after_drama

Hi I have been a lurker for a while now. Love this site. I have been watching kdramas for about 2 years now. I tried to get my friends into them too, but only one got hooked like me. It’s great to see from the DB website that there are other people out there who enjoy a good story without all the rampant explicit sex & violence that are so prevalent in a lot of American TV.

Really enjoying Nice Guy & Ohlala Couple. Song Joong Ki & Moon Chae Won are knocking it out of the park IMHO. And how can a show make you cry so much from both laughing one minute and sobbing the next?!

    Looking forward to more…

  41. 41 Lixie

    Hello everyone!

I’m usually a lurker here and I was wondering if some of you could give me recommendations for a good romcom to watch. I’m finishing TTBY and I want something to fill that void, loved it so much even though it never made any sense.:) I don’t care if it’s new or old. I tried Ohlala and hated it, not funny at all, sorry. I don’t ask for much just great chemistry, good actors, solid storyline and fantastic soundtrack. Ok, maybe I could do with just one or two of those.:P Some I’ve watched and loved even more were Coffee Prince (all time favorite), You’re Beautiful and Rooftop Prince.

    • 41.1 JoAnne

      Flower boy Ramyun Shop

Jung Il Woo, Lee Ki Woo…oh and that kid who played Ba Wool, I never remember his name. and actually…several more cute boys, and two really engaging female characters.

Anyway – fun stuff, and the ending is handled quite well. That’s important because you’re gonna wonder, once you get into it, how they could possibly make it work. But they do. This is no Big.

      • 41.1.1 Lixie

Thank you JoAnne! I did watch FBRS last year, it wasn’t as good as I hoped but it was still fun. Mostly I was in it because of JIW, I liked him in 49 Days and he was also terrific in FBRS despite the silly haircut.:) It’s funny you mention Big, I kept wondering all through that mess what was the big deal, has nobody watched FBRS? The age gap wasn’t that big to make such a fuss. I love annoying characters like Cha Chi Soo.

        • JoAnne

Then might I suggest Dal Ja’s Spring? Chae Rim and Lee Min Ki. Very unusual K-Drama in my opinion, and manages to handle emotional scenes as well as humor quite well.

          • Lixie

I remember this one! I’ve watched the first eps and stopped, I think I was having trouble finding the rest, I don’t usually watch streaming sites. I’ll try to find it again!:)

    • 41.2 Hex

Sorry for sort of hijacking your post. I wanted some drama suggestions too, but I guess the second page does not get much attention, so here I am piggybacking on your post.

I really want to watch some funny/sweet k-drama. Preferably something I can marathon, so a completed or near complete drama would be ideal. Swoon-worthy OTP is always a plus. A bubbling idiot female lead is a HUGE detractor. I like shows set in school; sucker for coming of age storyline. To give you some idea, here are some dramas I could watch over and over again:

      Answer me 1997
      Queen In-Hyun’s Man
      Shut Up Flower Boy Band
The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry (love)
      Sungkyunkwan Scandal
      My Girlfriend is a Guhimo
Dream High I (I loved it the first time round, not sure if it will retain the same charm in second or third viewing)

So… any recommendations? I really want to marathon some sucker and feel the same thrill that I felt when I first discovered k-dramas. Thanks muchos!

PS: I am open to TW-dramas or JDoramas too if they are good. I’ve found that in most of JDoramas the female lead is an even bigger idiot than your normal k-drama and what’s worse, tends to overreact, but I might have been unlucky enough to try most of the bad ones. I mean I liked the Japanese version of Hana Yori Dango better (just for the record).

      • 41.2.1 FishcalledWanda

Hi Hex! I think Heartstrings aka Fallen For You may be right up your alley! Also recomended for Lixie in the comment above!

  42. 42 Mar

With Faith wrapping up, not sure what I will do. I’m not really interested in anything on right now, probably will watch FH2 just for the silly because I need that right now. The upcoming new shows, I like a lot of the cast and stuff, but I don’t know if I can deal with melodrama right now. Park Yuchun can probably seduce me into his new show but I’m trying hard to resist. Probably keep up with Vampire Prosecutor 2 and catch up on some Supernatural, Bones, Vampire Diaries viewing, stuff like that.

As I said last week, totally awaiting Jung Il Woo’s reappearance in dramaland, along with Hyun Bin, and hoping for some funny in their efforts.

    • 42.1 wanne

Me too. After Faith is done, I don’t know what I’m gonna watch. I’m watching Nice Guy too but its also ending soon. The upcoming dramas that have my interest so far are only That Winter, The Wind Blows (for Jo In Sung and Noh Hee Kyung) and Seunggi’s drama (Don’t know which name to use. I guess there’s no official name yet?) which will not be aired until next year. Too far away! November and December looks to be dull now *sigh* What is currently airing on Tvn? No interesting drama, anyone?

  43. 43 redfox

we had first snow. pretty early this year. I like it, but car owners moan, nag, complain and curse. if the car only makes them curse, why own it? is there no joy from it? why bother? use the tram. more time to look at the pretty.

hence question: the most beautyful use of snow in a k-drama in your opinion?
I liked Love Rains´ road through this gigantic wall of snow. astonishing.

    • 43.1 kakashi

Hello redfox! We’re expecting snow this weekend … so I went and bought myself a new coat today. It’s green and wool and I love it. Snow, you can come now!

Yes, I agree with you: Love Rain uses snow very nicely. “A Love to Kill” uses it brutally.

    • 43.2 Elle

I agree with you that Love Rain had the most beautiful snow scenes… Diamond Snow! However, the snow scenes in White Christmas were stark and quite ominous adding to that thrilling story.

    • 43.3 Korazy Lady

Bu who can forget Winter Sonata’s snow – and those cute little kissing snowmen? Wait, did they kiss? anyway, lots of pretty snow in that.

  44. 44 wanne

    Hello OT-ers!

I’m currently watching Faith and Nice Guy. The first mainly for the OTP while the latter, there’s this thing about it.. A lot of times when watching an episode, I was really annoyed until some point where I felt like I can’t take it anymore and then bam! The twist. The ending. The writer just know how to keep me interested again. Take Episode 14 for example, in the beginning when it seems like Eun Gi lost her memories for the SECOND TIME, I was like WHAT THE HELL!! And then, Maru feeling headache AT THE SAME TIME when Eun Gi screaming and crying her heart out, how dramatic can that be. I just hate the overused melodrama trope in here and them intended for the sake of making the situation as bad as it can be. And Eun Gi not listening to Maru, visiting Ja Hee’s house, agreeing to meet the President regarding the deal, was getting on my nerves. BUT the ending, like usual, always manage to make me interested and looking forward to the next episode everytime. I think it mostly because I really hate Jahee and wants to see her going down.

Anyway, I’ve been searching for something to watch during the weekend. I just finished Architecture 101, it was sweet but I didn’t like the ending. Any other good movies? Not horror though, because I’m living alone now haha. I’m looking for The Thieves but can’t find the streaming links. Anyone know?

  45. 45 LizJ

    Hi, everyone.

After weeks of worrying that Nice Guy was going to turn into another Fashion King, I am extremely happy with Nice Guy’s writing and plot right now. Hurray for the suspense, glad the melodrama is not getting all overwhelming.

Sadly, can’t say the same for May Queen; I’m glad I dropped it.

So..right now, Faith and Nice Guy

  46. 46 james

Ladies, are you going to review 세 얼간이?

  47. 47 redfox

more news: KBS. KBS tv is here, South estonia. going berry-picking???? first submarine, now berries. weird. are they still looking for filming location? but why would…. submarine, berries? they are in the inland. submarine-berry-picking? inside? huh?

    • 47.2 JoAnne

even people on subs need fruit.

      • 47.2.1 redfox

took me a while to connect subs with submarines, first I thought you meant subtitles and thought, what. you eat subtitles. I guess it is not far off. dramafans eat subs. (and now it sounds like they eat submarines again…) I am getting myself very confused.
        *stuffs her face with subtitles*

        • JoAnne

to further confuse you, when I was a child, I lived in Massachusetts. In parts of that state, a sub is a particular kind of sandwich. Also called, variously, a hoagie or a grinder, depending on where you live in this country. Basically, it’s big. And submarine shaped.

          • redfox

I love that. We need to have a sandwitch like that in our museums´ cafe.

  48. 48 redfox

I was thinking they will have a character going berry-picking in a swamp inside a submarine. the south korean version of yellow submarine or something? man I really wanna see a submarine-themed kdrama. a comedic one.

  49. 49 Noelle

Happy OT everybody! I was up early this morning preparing for a certification exam…. Totally passed!

    Anyone here watching Oohlala Spouses?

    • 49.1 kopytko

      Congratulations on your exam!

Ohlala is solala for me. I watched the first two eps and recently tried one of the current episodes but sadly I didn’t enjoy it that much. I think that the leading actress overdoes her role, what she does is so literal, that it isn’t funny after three minutes of watching. I guess a hint of subtlety would do wonders.

    • 49.2 tamtam

I’m still watching Oohlala, and still loving it. 🙂 This is supposed to be an exaggerated comedy that you take at face value, so I guess you either love it or hate it. It’s a nice break to my week and from all the serious drama that’s out lately. It’s not just pointless comedy that ends on every episode though, there’s still a good plot and character development. But understandably, a lot of people can’t get over the exaggerated acting and the douchey husband.

  50. 50 kopytko

    Hi Everybody!
I’ve discovered Rascal Sons this week – there are subs for 4 episodes. It’s not really original, but it isn’t sickeningly conventional either. Some characters feel like they have been taken from a sitcom, some would fit into a teary melo, but taken as a whole, it’s a likable drama. I guess family dramas are the genre I feel attracted to in autumn.

Nice Guy is my current favourite, although this week’s episodes weren’t as great as the previous ones. I guess there is a limit to corporation stuff I am able to appreciate. Plus, I wouldn’t give a babyface like Kang Maru any resposnible position. Seriously, he seems like a total kid pretending to be an adult. On the bright side, I am so glad I’m not going to succumb to any new fascination and check out an actor’s entire work. But Moon Chae Won? hmmm

I fear that May Queen enters the Total Makjang territory. But still, I am curious what happens next.

And my guilty pleasure: I rewatched several episodes of Sorry, I Love you. And I still haven’t figured out what makes me like So Ji Sub so much in that drama. He doesn’t even look his best in that one. *goes to listen to Yukinhana*

    Have a great weekend/holiday, Everybody!

    • 50.1 JoAnne

I liked his hair in that one

      • 50.1.1 kopytko

Hair? In the beginning, with the headband it looked cool. I still cannot get behind the hat he wore in the later episodes.
It cannot be I got to like the character/ actor just because he drove some really cool muscle car in the first episode… or is it?

    • 50.2 Thursday's Child

You’re a girl after my own heart! Don’t feel guilty about rewatching Mianhada, Saranghanda! My friends and I used to do it once a year! Though I saw So Ji Sub first in What Happened in Bali, it was after watching I’m Sorry, I love You that I became a fan. 😉
