Joo-won injured while filming 1N2D

javabeans: Uh-oh, bad news for Joo-won, who just suffered an injury to the nose while filming an upcoming episode of 1 Night 2 Days. Apparently he was knocked unconscious mid-shoot, then taken to the emergency room while filming stopped.
girlfriday: Eeeeeep. I know we always joke about wanting the games on 1N2D to be violent, but not this kind of violent.
javabeans: Yes, like forehead-flicking and shin-kicking. Not face-disfiguring. He was reportedly playing the “king” role in a “game of pride” involving football when he hit his nose on someone else’s head and was unable to get up. He reportedly also hurt his nose while filming Level 7 Civil Servant, but I don’t think that was a big injury. Still, not the face!
girlfriday: It’s like Rule No. 1. Don’t mess with The Pretty. They violated Rule No. 1.
javabeans: I can’t believe that he was knocked out cold, had to go to the hospital, and the articles all laud his “professionalism” in returning to shoots right away. There’s a reason all those actors can’t drop dramas when they’re hurt! Like they’re going to be That Guy when the whole of the industry is making you the hero for playing injured.
girlfriday: It’s a terrible cycle with no winners. Except for horses. They seem to always come out on top. Like if your actors are literally phoning it in from a hospital bed, there’s something wrong here, don’tcha think?
javabeans: For now I’m just glad this wasn’t a bigger accident than it could have been—and from watching this show, we know how crazy those games can get. And Joo-won does tend to get competitive about everything, especially when losing means he has to miss out on dinner and watch his hyungs eat.
girlfriday: I’ll laugh (in hindsight, once I know he’s okay) if it was over something really small like cookies or one bite of something.
javabeans: I do wonder how it’ll play out on air, though. (The episode airs on the 19th.) This new editor/PD seems to do exactly the opposite of what I want, showing too much of some things and nothing at all of others.
girlfriday: It would be ridiculous to cut around it and pretend it didn’t happen, but this PD makes some weird choices. I guess we’ll see. For now maybe Joo-won should lay off the competitive games, or just learn to embrace losing.
javabeans: Even if it means starving more? I’m not sure he can take that gracefully, or you know, at all. Then again, Grumpy Joo-won can be a new thing.
girlfriday: There might be tears, but you don’t see his hyungs Tae-hyun or Tae-woong with busted noses now, do you?
javabeans: This can be his time to hone his begging skills, which Tae-hyun has perfected to an art form. He’s already got the aegyo pout and voice down.
girlfriday: Less violence, more dancing. I can live with that.

Damn, getting knocked out is no joke. I hope he took it easier after that but if food is on the line I doubt it...
I think New PD is still trying to find his footing/personal style. I like the new group dynamic but I agree that sometimes there is too much talking and he let them bend the rules too easily. No fun for us if everyone gets to eat in the end! Hopefully he will toughen up down the line like Bird PD

aww, this sucks. losing consciousness even for a while is a worrying thing. i'm glad they took him to the hospital asap. resuming filming right away must mean the injury wasnt so bad, right? right? RIGHT? shoot...
New PD, please be a good PD. i'm not digging in the new episodes as much as the older ones when Seungwoo was around. the New PD seems a bit lazy with games. yes, we want violent games, but as JB and GF said it, the hilariously-violent, not physically violent. and we dont like love-lines~

Since he was brought to the hospital I assume they did the thorough check to see if he suffered any head injury.
Otherwise, he looks none the worst for it as today's pictures from his fanmeet in Taiwan show.

Oh thank goodness his pretty face is still intact! He's still rocking his good looks in this picture. But I really hope he's feeling alright after being knocked out like that! Joo Won looks a little tired in the pic......>__< Being an actor is a hard job.

Actually his agency reported this news after one week of the injury. The shooting of 1N2D has footage for two weeks of telecast. So this accident happened on the shooting of 12th or 13th of May. Right now Joo Won is on his first overseas fanmeet in Taiwan;his nose is perfectly fine from the latest photos.

I dont think Joo-woo want to continue filming because he wants to be a heroe or something like that. It is the kind of guys he is, he study common knowledge (test), the first day en 1n2d he was punctual and prepared, he never stop filming 1n2d when he was too tired filming Bridal Mask.

I hope Joowon is doing better. As for show, I hope the new PD will not make inviting guests as a regular thing, or else, 1N2D will loose more of its charm. I all for more cast and crew/viewers competition and special. :)

why does it have to be Joo Won's face right? Even if it was a minor injury does he really need to go back to the set right away? I wonder how did he handle the rest of the tasks being injured.
It would actually boost their ratings if they show how Joo Won got injured.. ya know, the fans are dying to know even thought that scene would leave a crack in our hearts.
