dangermousie is officially a goner - in so deep she's barely sleeping from the looks of it, I think she marathoned 9 eps in 2 days. And she just officially asked the question (at around the same part in the drama where I took a break to post my first musings on LoCH2008) which is like heading down the rabbit hole.
She says, and I paraphrase: Yuan Hong, I must find out what else he's been in!. I pointed her to Yang's Clan, and alerted her to CtW this summer. But I also told her he's our loverboy (gotta stake our claim, right?). I'm having a BLAST following her watch, it's like seeing it again for the first time through fresh eyes, and yup, still all sorts of amazingly good.

Even the chinese media has (finally) gotten its head out of the sand and admitted LCH is annoying the bejeebus out of everyone from the screams of agony from the messages boards in Japan and elsewhere. The PD is scrambling to reshoot the drama by speeding up the KimuTaku-Ryoko loveline. I wouldn't mind if KT and Keiko had some fun in the meantime. And LCH drops off the nearest bridge.
My sister finished BB (Buzzer Beat) and liked it the extent I did. I can't get pass episode 1 of ProDai, I don't know why? Is my Pi love only going to take me so far? I thought Kurosagi was as low as I could go. Gonna try out CB1 this weekend (if I have time).

I so agree with you, I found My Country Calls very fun and entertaining.I laughed a lot watching it, absolutely love the leading lady and the interaction between her, the leading man, NIA team. Not so much for Horan (I might get her name wrong, but she is the 2nd leading lady), She only have one expression, absolutely blank face......... Other than that I can't wait to see the rest of the episodes.
@49 mookie....I feel the same about TnK, the characters are not well developed, some of them are poitnless to the story - such as Kitagawa keiko's character of the girl who is desperately in love with Ren. I do enjoy Ryoko's acting, she is the only thing that keep me watching the show.

Well, let's see - I see you have seen alot of Kimutaku's stuff, so you can keep going down his list - Chance, Hero, etc but also there are the school dramas Nobuta wa Produce, Otomen, Nodame Cantabile, etc, and then fun stuff like Kimi wa Petto, Attention Please and if you want your heart ripped out and stomped on Smile
The ones I actually own are Kimi wa Petto, Antique and Toyko Dogs. But that's because Pride is darned hard to find. 8-) i was lucky to find Kimi wa Petto. 8-)
Right now I'm watching Yankee-kun and Shinzanmono - which are both running currently, so we have to watch raw or wait for subs. The first is happy fluffy pink with unicorns and rainbows and just is just the cutest darned thing in the world, and the second is a beautifully acted light cop procedural.

I was looking at MCC episode 3 and couldn't stop laughing. How ingenious of her to use the can like a pistol! She's funny because she is street smart and yet kinda dingy. I agree about Horan also....I don't care for her at all....tried to figure out how she and Go ever got into a relationship....they just don't match up at all. I can tell he feels attracted to HaNa....although he's not really sure yet. The incident in the parking garage when he held her arm steady to fire the pistol and then hugged her and told her not to look.....was so cute.
Many others are wondering what the next episode will reveal with HaNa being caught in the office....and it's all because she has to use the restroom!!! LOL LOL...
Also...what will she wear since Do-hoon made her swear she wouldn't wear clothes that made her look old AND to wear perfume!!!! hehehehe.....Ryu Jin is great in this drama!
I also like the pony tail guy....he was in Pasta....but this is a good role for him.
I don't think we will have any terrible episodes with this drama....

I was hoping to lure her far enough down the rabbit hole that Damo would just grab her and she'd be a goner.
Although frankly after a rewatch of Damo, Dong Yi become even more insulting. Mom was trying to convince me that "oh no! It's good! The king is a good actor." Yeah, he actually is, poor guy, he's doing his best and poor BSB is trying to lift it as well, but they are truly being abused by the script and direction.
Oh, and if watching City Hall, try to do it with WithS2's subs, because even I, with my really lousy Korean, found the subs in use at Dramafever bad. In fact, many of the inside comments are totally lost and you just go..huh? If I can translate a line on the fly and understand that the subs are off by a mile, then something is wrong.
Poor dangermousie! When you come up for air and start going "who is this guy and what else is he in...." that's when you are officially gone. 8-)

Omg I Love Yankee-kun to Megane-Chan.. my initial reaction to the school setting, having not known it was originally a manga, then anime - but of course, DUH, was "oh so Nobuta-ish" but its pretty good, and seeing as the story is centered around (ex) Bad-Asses (lol, to an extent) it makes it even more enjoyable..

Tnk, Oh, this one is totally hopeless. Don't know how something with a potential like this could be wasted like this? Too bad, even with alluring Shota kun, it's hard to watch. OTH, if you are interested in fun/cute/school dramas, there's Yankeekun to meganechan(everybody's scream, as of now on OT, it seems like), or Tumbling, cute adorable boys tumbling around. Dousoukai, This one is closed to my heart as I've just been to my junior high school's 35 years reunion last year (I know, I know, I'm a certified Obasan here) and saw my first crush for the first time in 32? years. Shinzanmono is another good solid story telling. Oh, and Sunaoni narenakute. Eita and Tamaki kun rock. Jae is no actor, but who can deny him? Still, this drama got me to reactivate my twitter account with a bit of identity crisis. I'm not celestialorigin there, lol. Never solved that problem.,,

QSS.....Eriiiiic !!! I didn't know him before this drama, and I had a pretty bad image of him (bad actor, and such....)
But this drama was sooo good, and he did a lot for that....
To my opinion, even if I started watching dramas with J-dramas, once I discovered K-dramas, I felt that korean are better actors/directors than Japanese...
But I think Japanese dramas and Korean dramas both have their own codes, and stereotypes, with their own good and bad points...
But, I never watched one japanese drama which was funny AND with a good (I said a good) romance. I tried Hana Yori dango, but uh uh (I loved the manga, and matsujun was a no-no for me as Domyoji). I tried Hana-kimi, but uh uh²...
Japanese are good comedians (albeit too excessive) but the romance is clearly not credible, IMO...
Still, Nodame Cantabile is a MUST SEE !!!
Hotaru no hikari is hilarious too, and I think many girls will recognize into Hotaru...(and there'll be season 2 very soon !!)

Nope. MacKeyHole TV is only good for watching live.
It is actually possible, if you have another program - Screenium , to set it up to tape the program for you. But you'll only get a poor copy that eats huge amounts of disk space. I usually wait for the file to show up online. And it's usually a couple of days and it drives me bonkers. Shinzanmono will show up within a day, and for some reason Yankee-kun takes more like 3 or 4.

The part that cracked me up was how this NIA ajushi with funky hair, who loves to mess with Ha na, insisted that he should be in the control room while the rest of the team is monitoring Ha na. And he took notes on how the NIA team react each time Ha na screwed up...ha....ha...ha....
Oh yeah, when Ha na wanted to wear a cute outfit for her first day at work, the NIA team told her that she has to wear that dreadful suit because it hides the recording devices. I wonder how that will turn out....
Do you not think Do-hoon would be rather suspicious on how goofy this girl is in comparison to ther resume..... but hey..... I think they are going to give us a lot of fun interraction to watch.....
Dal-ja's was so sweet, wasn't it? I think it should have been a littler shorter as I ended up fast-forwarding through a few of the later eps, but Lee Min-ki was so adorable.

Some parts are frikkin hilarious in those i-can't-believe-they-did-that scenario, i always liked Lee Soo Kyung in previous series, but this series really made me love her.... she's absolutely PERFECT for the part....

I do lurk in Chinforums and the hate towards HS is INTENSE. Nonsense! I cant fault a character because the actress has more screen time (I dont like it w/ the reason because it CUT into screen time of more impt plots (and characters imo), I ranted during CU15/16, but lets be rational babies!) and I DARE u not to melt in the scene where HS is being all her Appa cooing JS to sleep (I teared up a bit in happy just thinking)
See at least she's the only one knowing they r ALL crazy!! Really, beginning of ep17, after 8/9 grueling long years of emotional abuse, our HS finally can hammer sth into our EJ's head and they both agree..yup HS, u r the sensible, human, adult, rational person w/ a heart in the household. That is after all the repeats of EJ/Mom blaming HS for being HS and how I love that clingy princess of 100%tears to grow one freaken strong backbone that scare the bejewels out of BOTH KS and EJ and just bashed it at them, 'hey! cry wolf much? u r blaming ME? when is annoying/clinging/having a heart a crime larger than being cruel? and child abandonment/neglect has prison terms!' And how awesome is this glob of tears, sick and feverish and maybe suffering fr some morbid Kmelo illness is totally trapping those 2 b8tches w/ invisible ankle bracelets made out of her pure invasive LOVE?!
I cant care too much about the Mom running away arc. I'm intrigued by that lady, and L!M!S! is da bomb but KS disappoints me w/ the running away as in I expect her to wow me in some devilish yummy plan to take care of biz. Seriously Kang Sook shi, all these yrs of pure genius shrewdness in manipulation, playing w/ God and Buddha and the Devil in your imaginary Go-Stop and having the upper hand (u claimed)..this is your wimpy exit plan when u have to live w/ this little b8tch and suffer for oh... till she's fully grown and want out or maybe marriage?! We can perfectly understand her still repulsed by HS, a real alien entity to her...but she's dealing w/ the repulsion in the most constructive and 'loving' way our EJ can. She faced it head-on, instead of trying to shutting it all out or tryin to beat HS away like some pest, she allows herself to accept her fate almost, showing HS human decencies. She's at least listening and doubting herself now and viewing HS as her alien equal, she's even pondering how it'll be LIVING rest of her life w/ her, HS will 4ever be foreign, she will never get her, but instead of her usual porcupine thorny fretting of anything foreign and loving and cuddly, she's ready to shed her thorns! she's ready to let go of her stubbornness to understand her before giving/receiving love btn them... more sappy: HS is introducing the concept of unconditional love to our EJ! O MY!! And EJ is processing! (I wet my eyes seeing her cooking jook for HS... last time we saw EJ cook, it's for her KH oppa/one with no name! O M G) And she MELTS like a human being w/ that HS being Appa cooing JS to sleep scene! YES! u r my gf, EJ (not that I've ever abandoned u, but w/ this, we bond) and asked if HS is tired and OFFERED to coo JS in her place (O M G, u have to be cold and inhuman to quip this as out of her character.)
THEN GAHHH we have to have a sleeptog of the 3 sibs! *happy tears* *pet writer shi* Ms writer, even if u r irrational, u forget your brain often and love lobotomies.. all's forgiven (almost). and not just that, EJ said KIND things to HS, saying she's just like APPA (SHE SPOKE THE MAGIC WORD!)
And yes, this is what I want fr an episode, give us GOOD developnt of our OTP and BIG (but short and effective) speeches fr our HS and all the yummy good inner turmoil morsels of EJ talking in her own head (MGY has the most effective VO voice). Again HS is the authority of wisdom here, connecting the dots, saying they r here, acting this way, staying this way because of D A D. Each of these women have a love they may not be fully grasping for DS and that's what connecting them all, they may view him as a huge hindrance in the past, but this is empowering them now. And for the first time EJ acknowledge HS has grown up to be her own thinking woman whereas she's still crippled in her stinted growth (even if she's making that big speech in her own head) <3 I love all this family affirming goodness. I love these cinderellas growing strong and up on their own feet amidst the shxt because of the family bonds and their own growth and NOT some prince charming! <3 <3 <3
KH is chained by EJ to comfort the feverish HS when he's all chirpy in the morning, ok...I'm bewildered w/ this regression to child gibberish of HS. maybe I've lost my inner child voice too long, but the thought of THAT voice readily available in a grown woman is creepy. of coz our KH made up the most logical and comforting excuse to her ears on Mom's disappearance. He's always making sense in words (not in action) in front of HS, so he's the embodiment of love making us irrational morons?!
I'm shipping JW and HS, have been since like their first encounter. They r both too naive to be true, givers instead of takers, and as much as HS has grown, she has this super needy child in her...and JW is THE best fit for any bossy princess. And I just felt since they have no sexual tension btn them, thins can mature and ripen all naturally. (I'm not really that buying HS heart painging love for KH all along) HS is least required to put on her protective facades whenever she's w/ him. And... they'll make adorable cute loyal puppies as offsprings.
KS called EJ and fr the area code they can track her down to the neighborhood, they go w/ their respective mookie's OTPs. EJ/KH needed some serious OTP time, so as expected, another Mom/HS faceoff and again HS is the one making most of the practical sense, but I'm fine w/ the 'resolution', first time in the formidable Song Kang Sook shi's life has she ever admitted defeat and shame and she's allowed to brood and stew in her own guilt for a while in her exile. HS agrees w/ me as well...but not our EJ ( ruffling w/ ajumma chingu of mom THUS leading to that OMG HUG! I need another OT post...)
(I have to save that whole dead car in pretty foresty roadside scene for a rambling of its own because my knees were mush w/ PIE...o and that bus scene as well *SWOON*)

yep, i actually think the song was made for the drama specifically like goodbye my princess was made for PP since the lyrics really fits! i LOVED the hug when she gave him flowers... i loved how embarrassed she was but most of all, i LOVED how casually and naturally he did it!

It's been a long, long week. Yesterday in particular.. long story short I ended up scalding my hand with boiling hot water. It uh, hurt real bad. Lots of people will give you differing opinions on remedies (of course) so I googled (typing with my left hand and using the mouse with my left hand) and worked like that all day. Today it's a little bit better, kind of looks like I have some weird sunburn. Of course, when I avoided the sun like crazy on Wednesday, I still end up with some sort of burn.... I haven't watched Giant yet, but I caught a little bit of Coffee House. Our dear Supah unni hates Park Jae Jung. I'd let him make me some coffee if you know what I mean. I don't... I don't even know what I mean, haha.
Also: I read the writer who did Buzzer Beat is going to do the next drama after TnK with Matsumoto Jun and Takeuchi Yuko. Not really caring for this pair yet but they're both pretty good actors, we'll see... (I still a little upset that Yuko will leave America. Yesterday I had the TV on ABC accidently and heard her from across the room and immediately went over to watch, but I don't follow Flash Forward that much)
Hi, you said it... the MCC main dude definitelly is "manly man".... or you can just say an honest to god decent man who does not think he is too sexy for his shirt. I kinda enjoy that change after all those pretty men in the previous dramas.

I like the pacing of the romance, a lot of hints here and there and some feelings bubbling ever so slowly between Ha na and Mr.Manly man. I think it's going to be a simple enjoyable romance, a very good change of pace after CS.....oh boy, that was a bit to tense and complex for me.....although after 18th episode, finally something happened....
o we ALL miss him. U r not an OTer if u don't miss Samsooki, yup, we're a discriminating bunch w/ fine taste like that! :)

o... *gulp* KH being chirpy in the morning doesnt even scratch what goodness installed for us in everything he's going to say in CU17/18.
I'm frustrated albeit understandably he cant physically give her any comfort when she's so overcome by her concern over HS in CU16. BUT after sleeping over it for couple nights, our KH's new game plan of EJ attack is: heck w/ it ALL!
and it's not like EJ has not unknowingly forgiven him, if she's still as angry as she was by that dirt road during that ultimatum, she wouldnt talk to him however civilly, telling him where she's going etcetc.
and w/ the Nth EJ pimping of KH to be HS' oppa, he internally snapped during that drive to look for Mom. For once KH is airing every bit of his feelings/thoughts out w/o any inhibition, freed fr all his baggage and guilt. I welcomed it, some may fault him for not being remorseful for some pretty bad not too smart deeds, but we've mudwrestled in it long enough, esp this drama, I'm glad KH can take us out of THAT gloomy noble hero doom. And what good is he going to be being his usual mopey, distanced self to EJ?! She's still hurting in front of him, and he cant even soothe her.
I <3 this pragmatism fr our KH, we're hinted on a cutthroat aggressiveness in him very early on w/ his interactions w/ his 'family', it's not till now that we had that side of him back.
So he laid out his plan to EJ as well, he's going to not stop talking because he's so much to say to her for so long and wasnt allowed to till now. and so he's rambling on like some lovesick puppy a la mookie. It's cute when PIE is doing it...esp when he's saying lines like ' I don't care how deplorable, hateful, shameless u think I am, I'll care for you the way I've always wanted to.'
and so... their car broke down in some pretty stretch of backroad...and while EJ is all stressed out, he smiled, aggravating her more. As shameless as he is, he cant stop grinning whenever he thought of how unguarded he can be w/ her, w/ so many things to pour out... I'll take shameless smiley PIE! and yes I endorse every KH's mangrip. I can be a shameless female as well. and w/ the mangrip, KH totally invading EJ's space and comfort zone, EJ totally is anticipating a kiss, we can tell it gf (and totally w/ u)! but all KH wants was for her to lean and rest and de-stress...and be a good girl and listen. (and I go, just do as he says, gf, u may earn yourself a kiss, the one u r secretly hoping, u know?) and u know EJ is not THAT stupid, she stays leaning and frankly atm she turns as mushy as an EJ can, no?
The bus scene has no words... and all we can do is loop and swoon. IF I ever visit Korea, I will totally hop on buses and do sth as PG and romantic, just saying. (and if we're lucky as those on that bus in the CU18 bts, we'll see C!J!M! filming a lovey dovey scene!)
The ajumma resto scene was time when EJ regressed to her hurt little momma's girl as dysfunctional their relationship was/is. and NOW KH put his words to action and pulls her in a soothing embrace.. AND united we go AWWW when he comforted her w/ his heartbreaking mom story. It's not his usual HS targeted soothing, rational cooing, it's them connecting, mind and body as hurt, damaged kids/adults. It's KH saying plainly 'I SEE YOU' Avatar wished it was effective.
He said (and I'm amidst tears), ' I was taken away in a car by big men, fr the car, I saw my mom running towards me and I thought, " Oh! Mom should not be running." and fr that day on, nobody allows us to see each other. My mom attempted to get a glimpse of me at where my brothers were, My brother chased my mom away... making her run. If he's let her have a glance, she wouldn't run...and went away.. just like that. I'll look for your mom for you. I will, for you, don't worry'

And I think this may bring a different angle in the Gun-wook/Mo-nae’s relationship, I must admit that the men's restroom scene look 100% full on the Erotic Side , but maybe because Mo-nae's is the one doing the pursuing per se, but I think maybe Gun-wook is actually playing the protective "Older Brother", in the Family Picture we can see that Mo-nae has already been born and maybe he is reminiscing of her as the baby sister, so far he has shown interest in her but he has shown uttermost respect for her in all the intersection we have seem so far, as opposed to his interaction with Tae-ra from the get go we see this full on Tension between the two as in when he reach into her Bosom, I mean if there is some "unresolved sexual tension " Tae-ra is the one at fault, but let me say this; I do not think that Gun-wook meant to demean her as a Woman, in the other hand he was the one who was demean by her violent reaction towards him, so he did something to level the Play Field, in the same way that she invaded his personal space as she slap him, he invades here space by way of playing and teasing her sexuality, I mean that Girl has such a Bad Attitude, and as my "Uncle Louie" used to say "That Girl Needs To Get Laid" Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha !!!!
But on a serious note, I think that Gun-wook is a really, really "Bad Man" but he is selective about his targets and so far he has shown that he may have a soft soft spot when it comes to Mo-nae!!!!

Sounds so beautiful. Opening one's heart to someone is like being able to trust in the connections between themselves and honor it. Ahhhh. I'm so waiting for episodes to be available.

I'm so relieved that both KH and EJ are finally being honest with themselves ... hopefully episodes 17/18 are hinting to an ending where they can be together (before these episodes I was afraid of a bittersweet ending).
After watching 15/16 I was quite confused as to why DongSoo was there - sure, he's told EJ about KH's treachery, but I felt that he was given more screen time than necessary, if he only had that part (and then completely disappeared in later episodes) ...
But I LOVED the part when KS finally gets a good look at herself when she sees EJ's little counterpart - and then EJ manages to break out of her shell without her. i wonder what's going to happen to the little girl?

I remember accidentally steaming my hand and it has to be one of the most painful things ever. And the love of my life was on hand to witness me at my most delirious-with-painest. Cringe. But it was 6yrs ago and I'm so over it. Not.
OK, Giant, I did type a super long entry about episodes 6-7 in the last OT and it barely made any sense at all. Just don't read it. All I want to say is 6-7 outdid even 4-5 which I thought would be impossible, how can it possibly outperfection perfection? But it amazingly did!
Oh, have you seen Bad Guy, yet? Sexy bastard, no?
I've just finished Father's House which was a 2-hr special drama with Kim Soo Hyun, but after watching it, I realise it had a very strong start but it becomes relatively weaker in the second hour. The main actor playing the father is fantastic, but I feel cheated, KSH is barely even in it, and when he is, his talent isn't even tapped into. He's just there as a pretty face.
Not meaning to typecast him but I was expecting at least small glimmers of at least Cha Kang Jin here, if nowhere near as powerful as his portrayal of Lee Sung Mo.
It's quite interesting really how the three recent roles he's played have had something to do with a father-son relationship, or lack of it and therefore a yearning for it - as in WISFC and now in Giant. I really do love Kim Soo Hyun, and I'm so grateful he never took the role Taecyeon's playing in Cinderella Unni, he would've been wasted there, WASTED! Y'hear me?
Giant may have only given him 8 episodes but that's 8 solid episodes, with solid writing and solid overall performances, someone hand this kid a baeksang, Yeo Jin-gu too, and Jung Bo Suk (OMG! He'll always be Major Cho to me!) and Nam Ji Hyun... and the little girl playing Mi Joo. If these actors don't get their due recognition after Giant - heads will roll!
The adult portion starts from episode 9 so I'm kind of bracing myself for the huge transitions ahead. I really hope they'll be smooth and convincing, 'cos I'm just so in love with the characters in the way they are now.

Kim Myung Min was originally slated for this role but the Kang Mo we know has a kind of boyish, devilish charm and then those sad eyes. Sniff. Lee Bum Soo seems much better suited. And I really liked LBS in the opening scene in episode 1, atop the skyscraper.
Nam Ji Hyun will be replaced by Park Jin-hee, and I think it's a given I can see Park Jin-hee playing JY quite easily. She looked stunning in the previews, really pretty.
Wol Ya is playing smarmy bastard Cho Min-woo. And as Major Cho's son he has the necessary on-screen presence too. I can totally see it. This clip is SO Min-woo. Kim Myung Min would probably have been perfect playing the ahjusshi version of Lee Sung Mo, because SM is a very layered and complex character and off the scales intense. Kim Soo Hyun was undoubtedly awesome playing the 18yr old SM, but I've never seen Park Sang Min or even heard of him before, so I'm going to let the show surprise me. I like the casting so far and I'm liking these relatively unknowns. I'm more about the talent than the names anyway.
Now for Mi Joo! Oh! Little Mi Joo!!
One of the most enchanting little 5yr olds I've ever seen, she's the life and soul of any party and born to entertain with her beautiful voice (and that Hongdo Don't Cry-esque song she sings) and cute little dances. So the actress playing adult MJ better have that pull and the voice! I've never seen this actress before either and I'm not going to research her, I'm just going to hope she can surprise me pleasantly when she emerges - next week or the one after. I'm actually quite excited.

If you and v lose interest in the adult portions, let me know, it'll save me from having to rave about it and clog up OT with it... although it's also therapeutic to free my mind from all those whirring reactions after watching the show, heh! (But I'd hate to talk to myself!)

Yeah, I was so looking forward to TnK and the first episode did nothing for me...except for Ryoko, who it sounds like is carrying most of the show. I did watch the first episode of Yankee-kun while I was studying for finals, and thought it was super cute. Totally taken back by how cute (and how well) Narimiya Hiroki was in the drama. He has played some interesting roles in the past...probably the one that sticks out the most is in Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003. Come to think of it, he has taken on lots of darker roles in the past.. But he really is adorable in this...
I"m impressed that you all have weathered through the angst of CU. I dropped CU at episode 4 because it required way more energy to watch than I had at the time, but hopefully one day I will pick it up...if only for the cast (it's so rare to have such a solid cast, almost all whom I adore).

dangermousie is officially a goner - in so deep she's barely sleeping from the looks of it, I think she marathoned 9 eps in 2 days. And she just officially asked the question (at around the same part in the drama where I took a break to post my first musings on LoCH2008) which is like heading down the rabbit hole.
She says, and I paraphrase: Yuan Hong, I must find out what else he's been in!. I pointed her to Yang's Clan, and alerted her to CtW this summer. But I also told her he's our loverboy (gotta stake our claim, right?). I'm having a BLAST following her watch, it's like seeing it again for the first time through fresh eyes, and yup, still all sorts of amazingly good.

Even the chinese media has (finally) gotten its head out of the sand and admitted LCH is annoying the bejeebus out of everyone from the screams of agony from the messages boards in Japan and elsewhere. The PD is scrambling to reshoot the drama by speeding up the KimuTaku-Ryoko loveline. I wouldn't mind if KT and Keiko had some fun in the meantime. And LCH drops off the nearest bridge.
My sister finished BB (Buzzer Beat) and liked it the extent I did. I can't get pass episode 1 of ProDai, I don't know why? Is my Pi love only going to take me so far? I thought Kurosagi was as low as I could go. Gonna try out CB1 this weekend (if I have time).

I so agree with you, I found My Country Calls very fun and entertaining.I laughed a lot watching it, absolutely love the leading lady and the interaction between her, the leading man, NIA team. Not so much for Horan (I might get her name wrong, but she is the 2nd leading lady), She only have one expression, absolutely blank face......... Other than that I can't wait to see the rest of the episodes.
@49 mookie....I feel the same about TnK, the characters are not well developed, some of them are poitnless to the story - such as Kitagawa keiko's character of the girl who is desperately in love with Ren. I do enjoy Ryoko's acting, she is the only thing that keep me watching the show.
Btw, does anybody know whatever happened to Samsooki, I haven't seen his comments in this site lately...

Well, let's see - I see you have seen alot of Kimutaku's stuff, so you can keep going down his list - Chance, Hero, etc but also there are the school dramas Nobuta wa Produce, Otomen, Nodame Cantabile, etc, and then fun stuff like Kimi wa Petto, Attention Please and if you want your heart ripped out and stomped on Smile
The ones I actually own are Kimi wa Petto, Antique and Toyko Dogs. But that's because Pride is darned hard to find. 8-) i was lucky to find Kimi wa Petto. 8-)
Right now I'm watching Yankee-kun and Shinzanmono - which are both running currently, so we have to watch raw or wait for subs. The first is happy fluffy pink with unicorns and rainbows and just is just the cutest darned thing in the world, and the second is a beautifully acted light cop procedural.

I was looking at MCC episode 3 and couldn't stop laughing. How ingenious of her to use the can like a pistol! She's funny because she is street smart and yet kinda dingy. I agree about Horan also....I don't care for her at all....tried to figure out how she and Go ever got into a relationship....they just don't match up at all. I can tell he feels attracted to HaNa....although he's not really sure yet. The incident in the parking garage when he held her arm steady to fire the pistol and then hugged her and told her not to look.....was so cute.
Many others are wondering what the next episode will reveal with HaNa being caught in the office....and it's all because she has to use the restroom!!! LOL LOL...
Also...what will she wear since Do-hoon made her swear she wouldn't wear clothes that made her look old AND to wear perfume!!!! hehehehe.....Ryu Jin is great in this drama!
I also like the pony tail guy....he was in Pasta....but this is a good role for him.
I don't think we will have any terrible episodes with this drama....

I know! Damo is part of my unending effort to convert people to saguek fandom.
I was hoping to lure her far enough down the rabbit hole that Damo would just grab her and she'd be a goner.
Although frankly after a rewatch of Damo, Dong Yi become even more insulting. Mom was trying to convince me that "oh no! It's good! The king is a good actor." Yeah, he actually is, poor guy, he's doing his best and poor BSB is trying to lift it as well, but they are truly being abused by the script and direction.
Oh, and if watching City Hall, try to do it with WithS2's subs, because even I, with my really lousy Korean, found the subs in use at Dramafever bad. In fact, many of the inside comments are totally lost and you just go..huh? If I can translate a line on the fly and understand that the subs are off by a mile, then something is wrong.
Poor dangermousie! When you come up for air and start going "who is this guy and what else is he in...." that's when you are officially gone. 8-)

Omg I Love Yankee-kun to Megane-Chan.. my initial reaction to the school setting, having not known it was originally a manga, then anime - but of course, DUH, was "oh so Nobuta-ish" but its pretty good, and seeing as the story is centered around (ex) Bad-Asses (lol, to an extent) it makes it even more enjoyable..

I'm not particularly an avid Soccer fan, more Rugby - tis the Downunder Syndrome, but its everywhere and thats pretty exciting stuff, especially for my Soccer Novice country who haven't qualified for the WC in like 20years, NZ ftw! the entire country aren't expecting much from the boys, lol, they've already done us proud to be able to rub boots and kick up dirt with the best in the world..hehe sad but true..

Tnk, Oh, this one is totally hopeless. Don't know how something with a potential like this could be wasted like this? Too bad, even with alluring Shota kun, it's hard to watch. OTH, if you are interested in fun/cute/school dramas, there's Yankeekun to meganechan(everybody's scream, as of now on OT, it seems like), or Tumbling, cute adorable boys tumbling around. Dousoukai, This one is closed to my heart as I've just been to my junior high school's 35 years reunion last year (I know, I know, I'm a certified Obasan here) and saw my first crush for the first time in 32? years. Shinzanmono is another good solid story telling. Oh, and Sunaoni narenakute. Eita and Tamaki kun rock. Jae is no actor, but who can deny him? Still, this drama got me to reactivate my twitter account with a bit of identity crisis. I'm not celestialorigin there, lol. Never solved that problem.,,
BG so far is promising. I can watch it just for the music alone... <3

QSS.....Eriiiiic !!! I didn't know him before this drama, and I had a pretty bad image of him (bad actor, and such....)
But this drama was sooo good, and he did a lot for that....
To my opinion, even if I started watching dramas with J-dramas, once I discovered K-dramas, I felt that korean are better actors/directors than Japanese...
But I think Japanese dramas and Korean dramas both have their own codes, and stereotypes, with their own good and bad points...
But, I never watched one japanese drama which was funny AND with a good (I said a good) romance. I tried Hana Yori dango, but uh uh (I loved the manga, and matsujun was a no-no for me as Domyoji). I tried Hana-kimi, but uh uh²...
Japanese are good comedians (albeit too excessive) but the romance is clearly not credible, IMO...
Still, Nodame Cantabile is a MUST SEE !!!
Hotaru no hikari is hilarious too, and I think many girls will recognize into Hotaru...(and there'll be season 2 very soon !!)

Nope. MacKeyHole TV is only good for watching live.
It is actually possible, if you have another program - Screenium , to set it up to tape the program for you. But you'll only get a poor copy that eats huge amounts of disk space. I usually wait for the file to show up online. And it's usually a couple of days and it drives me bonkers. Shinzanmono will show up within a day, and for some reason Yankee-kun takes more like 3 or 4.

The part that cracked me up was how this NIA ajushi with funky hair, who loves to mess with Ha na, insisted that he should be in the control room while the rest of the team is monitoring Ha na. And he took notes on how the NIA team react each time Ha na screwed up...ha....ha...ha....
Oh yeah, when Ha na wanted to wear a cute outfit for her first day at work, the NIA team told her that she has to wear that dreadful suit because it hides the recording devices. I wonder how that will turn out....
Do you not think Do-hoon would be rather suspicious on how goofy this girl is in comparison to ther resume..... but hey..... I think they are going to give us a lot of fun interraction to watch.....
I can't wait until Monday and Tuesday....

Dal-ja's was so sweet, wasn't it? I think it should have been a littler shorter as I ended up fast-forwarding through a few of the later eps, but Lee Min-ki was so adorable.

Haven't had a chance to catch up on any kdramas lately but after the whole soompi forum going spastic on Thursday, I just had to dl and watch at least the last scene in CS just to get a fix. *sigh* ahhhh.... the world is all ok again. :)

It's been a while since I've commented in the OT but after reading a few of the posts on My Country Calls, I had to put in my two cents :)
I absolutely love it so far!! I hope I haven't jinxed it by actually admitting it, but I had to share for anyone who was on the border about starting it....
Some parts are frikkin hilarious in those i-can't-believe-they-did-that scenario, i always liked Lee Soo Kyung in previous series, but this series really made me love her.... she's absolutely PERFECT for the part....
I haven't been on the edge of my seat for the next episode in a while :)

When Go apologized to HaNa as she was walking towards the elevator...that kinda caught me off guard....he sounded really sincere and had that look that made me say.....aaaawwwww.
Dramas sure like their elevator scenes! I wasn't sure what I wanted to see or what to expect with their elevator scene....I know I'm not expecting to see any romance right away....not yet between Go and HaNa even though the signals are there.

welcome to the party! MCC is totally hilarious and so good to have a drama that is of the same feeling as OML and WUAS.... even the secondary actors are great.
I think the only person who doesn't seem to be getting good review is the 2nd female lead who is the NIA TL right now....HoRan. Guess I don't think much of her either because I haven't written her name down! :-) She doesn't have any facial expressions....so dead pan.

I do lurk in Chinforums and the hate towards HS is INTENSE. Nonsense! I cant fault a character because the actress has more screen time (I dont like it w/ the reason because it CUT into screen time of more impt plots (and characters imo), I ranted during CU15/16, but lets be rational babies!) and I DARE u not to melt in the scene where HS is being all her Appa cooing JS to sleep (I teared up a bit in happy just thinking)
See at least she's the only one knowing they r ALL crazy!! Really, beginning of ep17, after 8/9 grueling long years of emotional abuse, our HS finally can hammer sth into our EJ's head and they both agree..yup HS, u r the sensible, human, adult, rational person w/ a heart in the household. That is after all the repeats of EJ/Mom blaming HS for being HS and how I love that clingy princess of 100%tears to grow one freaken strong backbone that scare the bejewels out of BOTH KS and EJ and just bashed it at them, 'hey! cry wolf much? u r blaming ME? when is annoying/clinging/having a heart a crime larger than being cruel? and child abandonment/neglect has prison terms!' And how awesome is this glob of tears, sick and feverish and maybe suffering fr some morbid Kmelo illness is totally trapping those 2 b8tches w/ invisible ankle bracelets made out of her pure invasive LOVE?!
I cant care too much about the Mom running away arc. I'm intrigued by that lady, and L!M!S! is da bomb but KS disappoints me w/ the running away as in I expect her to wow me in some devilish yummy plan to take care of biz. Seriously Kang Sook shi, all these yrs of pure genius shrewdness in manipulation, playing w/ God and Buddha and the Devil in your imaginary Go-Stop and having the upper hand (u claimed)..this is your wimpy exit plan when u have to live w/ this little b8tch and suffer for oh... till she's fully grown and want out or maybe marriage?! Yes, atone your sins, maybe EJ is better w/o having to live w/ u...but how about being a REAL MOM for a change?! there's a young son u have to take care of, basic physical needs that your proximity is nec, and these 2 girls r still grieving their dad's passing. But of coz I'm slurping up all the later remorse and feelings our JS or any human mother should have for any child living under domestic violence. She's DAMN slow, but she's not w/o feelings DEEP DEEP abyss Down. We all know it, but I still slurp it up every time we saw the human KS w/ that tiny bit of motherly love peeking thro.
and JS is every bit fr the KS/EJ bloodline! that little rascal, is missing mom, his kindergarten has a parents' day and KS was going to do a T-ara-BoBeep Brown Eyed Girl- Abracadabra #? o gosh how we'll die if we really see this clan doing THAT? (yeah PIE included, he'll happily be included in any clan/cult /w EJ atm) And is it just me or was PIE a bit pervie peepingTom ajusshi peeking at EJ?!
OTOH, the above was not any hint on EJ bashing. We can perfectly understand her still repulsed by HS, a real alien entity to her...but she's dealing w/ the repulsion in the most constructive and 'loving' way our EJ can. She faced it head-on, instead of trying to shutting it all out or tryin to beat HS away like some pest, she allows herself to accept her fate almost, showing HS human decencies. She's at least listening and doubting herself now and viewing HS as her alien equal, she's even pondering how it'll be LIVING rest of her life w/ her, HS will 4ever be foreign, she will never get her, but instead of her usual porcupine thorny fretting of anything foreign and loving and cuddly, she's ready to shed her thorns! she's ready to let go of her stubbornness to understand her before giving/receiving love btn them... more sappy: HS is introducing the concept of unconditional love to our EJ! O MY!! And EJ is processing! (I wet my eyes seeing her cooking jook for HS... last time we saw EJ cook, it's for her KH oppa/one with no name! O M G) And she MELTS like a human being w/ that HS being Appa cooing JS to sleep scene! YES! u r my gf, EJ (not that I've ever abandoned u, but w/ this, we bond) and asked if HS is tired and OFFERED to coo JS in her place (O M G, u have to be cold and inhuman to quip this as out of her character.)
THEN GAHHH we have to have a sleeptog of the 3 sibs! *happy tears* *pet writer shi* Ms writer, even if u r irrational, u forget your brain often and love lobotomies.. all's forgiven (almost). and not just that, EJ said KIND things to HS, saying she's just like APPA (SHE SPOKE THE MAGIC WORD!)
And yes, this is what I want fr an episode, give us GOOD developnt of our OTP and BIG (but short and effective) speeches fr our HS and all the yummy good inner turmoil morsels of EJ talking in her own head (MGY has the most effective VO voice). Again HS is the authority of wisdom here, connecting the dots, saying they r here, acting this way, staying this way because of D A D. Each of these women have a love they may not be fully grasping for DS and that's what connecting them all, they may view him as a huge hindrance in the past, but this is empowering them now. And for the first time EJ acknowledge HS has grown up to be her own thinking woman whereas she's still crippled in her stinted growth (even if she's making that big speech in her own head) <3 I love all this family affirming goodness. I love these cinderellas growing strong and up on their own feet amidst the shxt because of the family bonds and their own growth and NOT some prince charming! <3 <3 <3
KH is chained by EJ to comfort the feverish HS when he's all chirpy in the morning, ok...I'm bewildered w/ this regression to child gibberish of HS. maybe I've lost my inner child voice too long, but the thought of THAT voice readily available in a grown woman is creepy. of coz our KH made up the most logical and comforting excuse to her ears on Mom's disappearance. He's always making sense in words (not in action) in front of HS, so he's the embodiment of love making us irrational morons?!
I'm shipping JW and HS, have been since like their first encounter. They r both too naive to be true, givers instead of takers, and as much as HS has grown, she has this super needy child in her...and JW is THE best fit for any bossy princess. And I just felt since they have no sexual tension btn them, thins can mature and ripen all naturally. (I'm not really that buying HS heart painging love for KH all along) HS is least required to put on her protective facades whenever she's w/ him. And... they'll make adorable cute loyal puppies as offsprings.
KS called EJ and fr the area code they can track her down to the neighborhood, they go w/ their respective mookie's OTPs. EJ/KH needed some serious OTP time, so as expected, another Mom/HS faceoff and again HS is the one making most of the practical sense, but I'm fine w/ the 'resolution', first time in the formidable Song Kang Sook shi's life has she ever admitted defeat and shame and she's allowed to brood and stew in her own guilt for a while in her exile. HS agrees w/ me as well...but not our EJ ( ruffling w/ ajumma chingu of mom THUS leading to that OMG HUG! I need another OT post...)
(I have to save that whole dead car in pretty foresty roadside scene for a rambling of its own because my knees were mush w/ PIE...o and that bus scene as well *SWOON*)
but I need a tiny quenching PIE fangirl moment: alright, PIE, u should be banned fr talking to little girls, it'll confuse them because u r being a bit kidnapper ajusshi that our mothers told us NEVER ever to talk to but u r just ssooo darn effortlessly cute and handsome and charming and smiles and w/ those sparkling trustworthy doe eyes that we'll prob follow u to any alley if u just point the way.
(and he's still hot entering the car and all serious w/ phone call since we have makjulli PLOT)
So the whole Gu elders r lured by good $ to sell their DS winery stocks to the Hong's (damn u, hot sexy baddie KJ! )
Our KH told JW to keep EJ company and away fr the compound and he gave his sincere plea to those elders (or stone cold bastards) asking them simply what r Hong's terms, they will try their best to meet them and just give the poor girls some time, throwing in facts of they r still grieving their dad, their mom has disappeared, DS winery needs a lot of hectic work but things r looking bright (but need hard work). seriously if all the GU elders r normal ahjummas, who can deny PIE?!??! but they insisted on coming back tmr and talk to the girls in person themselves.
and our KH is not wasting time...he's meeting up the KJ ex-minion who's quit. He's some terminal disease (o can we just HOPE this is the only death inevitable in a kdrama last eps?! pretty please!) and he has a conscience and he's giving up evidence of Hong's messing w/ numbers in acct.
(I dont care for the EJ/JW 'bday' date as cute and pink it was. it serviced the plot, but that's about it, but good that it's short. me like!)
AND haha dun we ALL go crazy along w/ EJ and ,in her opinion, KH w/ that little pavillon 'come hither' scene?! but no gf, u r not crazy. u r just being a breathing girl, silly!
and that's just my ramble of 17 w/o the OTP goodness and it's freaken long... *sigh*
I have lots of meaningless fangirly stuff to say on our OTP and 18, but I should stop and do some RL work.

Happy friday yall!!its been a pretty. good week in kdramaland fr me! i marathoned won bin's friends and totally loved it..nothing deep bt tottaly adoeable...i wish won bin would do more dramas...also started MCC and am lovin it..though nothing original overall plot wise and love triangle wise...the humor is totally kickass and so is the chemistry betwn the leads...i already loved LSK and she should chose more projects like this..i also like the mian guy...he's nothing like yr avg kdrama lead is he ??..sorry to say that horan isnt doing that well...will always love her voice though.loving my manly men in dramas lately!!..also CH is so hilarious bt like others mentioned i have yet to catch onto anything emotionally engaging especially since there are no conflicts if any sort...giving me a very Pasta'ish vibe bt still more fun than Pasta...also im glad to hear so nany good things on the latest CS eps which is totally the opposite of wat ppl were like last week here on OT...lol...also does anyone know where i cn watch white night (with go soo and son ye jin )with subs...i waited abd waited ti watch it because of school and nw i cnt find it anywhere anymore

Watching them without subs just doesn't do much good as I haven't gotten a good grasp of the most recent development. yep, i actually think the song was made for the drama specifically like goodbye my princess was made for PP since the lyrics really fits! i LOVED the hug when she gave him flowers... i loved how embarrassed she was but most of all, i LOVED how casually and naturally he did it!

It's been a long, long week. Yesterday in particular.. long story short I ended up scalding my hand with boiling hot water. It uh, hurt real bad. Lots of people will give you differing opinions on remedies (of course) so I googled (typing with my left hand and using the mouse with my left hand) and worked like that all day. Today it's a little bit better, kind of looks like I have some weird sunburn. Of course, when I avoided the sun like crazy on Wednesday, I still end up with some sort of burn.... I haven't watched Giant yet, but I caught a little bit of Coffee House. Our dear Supah unni hates Park Jae Jung. I'd let him make me some coffee if you know what I mean. I don't... I don't even know what I mean, haha.
Also: I read the writer who did Buzzer Beat is going to do the next drama after TnK with Matsumoto Jun and Takeuchi Yuko. Not really caring for this pair yet but they're both pretty good actors, we'll see... (I still a little upset that Yuko will leave America. Yesterday I had the TV on ABC accidently and heard her from across the room and immediately went over to watch, but I don't follow Flash Forward that much)

Hi, you said it... the MCC main dude definitelly is "manly man".... or you can just say an honest to god decent man who does not think he is too sexy for his shirt. I kinda enjoy that change after all those pretty men in the previous dramas.

I like the pacing of the romance, a lot of hints here and there and some feelings bubbling ever so slowly between Ha na and Mr.Manly man. I think it's going to be a simple enjoyable romance, a very good change of pace after CS.....oh boy, that was a bit to tense and complex for me.....although after 18th episode, finally something happened....

o... *gulp* KH being chirpy in the morning doesnt even scratch what goodness installed for us in everything he's going to say in CU17/18.
I'm frustrated albeit understandably he cant physically give her any comfort when she's so overcome by her concern over HS in CU16. BUT after sleeping over it for couple nights, our KH's new game plan of EJ attack is: heck w/ it ALL!
and it's not like EJ has not unknowingly forgiven him, if she's still as angry as she was by that dirt road during that ultimatum, she wouldnt talk to him however civilly, telling him where she's going etcetc.
and w/ the Nth EJ pimping of KH to be HS' oppa, he internally snapped during that drive to look for Mom. For once KH is airing every bit of his feelings/thoughts out w/o any inhibition, freed fr all his baggage and guilt. I welcomed it, some may fault him for not being remorseful for some pretty bad not too smart deeds, but we've mudwrestled in it long enough, esp this drama, I'm glad KH can take us out of THAT gloomy noble hero doom. And what good is he going to be being his usual mopey, distanced self to EJ?! She's still hurting in front of him, and he cant even soothe her.
I <3 this pragmatism fr our KH, we're hinted on a cutthroat aggressiveness in him very early on w/ his interactions w/ his 'family', it's not till now that we had that side of him back.
So he laid out his plan to EJ as well, he's going to not stop talking because he's so much to say to her for so long and wasnt allowed to till now. and so he's rambling on like some lovesick puppy a la mookie. It's cute when PIE is doing it...esp when he's saying lines like ' I don't care how deplorable, hateful, shameless u think I am, I'll care for you the way I've always wanted to.'
and so... their car broke down in some pretty stretch of backroad...and while EJ is all stressed out, he smiled, aggravating her more. As shameless as he is, he cant stop grinning whenever he thought of how unguarded he can be w/ her, w/ so many things to pour out... I'll take shameless smiley PIE! and yes I endorse every KH's mangrip. I can be a shameless female as well. and w/ the mangrip, KH totally invading EJ's space and comfort zone, EJ totally is anticipating a kiss, we can tell it gf (and totally w/ u)! but all KH wants was for her to lean and rest and de-stress...and be a good girl and listen. (and I go, just do as he says, gf, u may earn yourself a kiss, the one u r secretly hoping, u know?) and u know EJ is not THAT stupid, she stays leaning and frankly atm she turns as mushy as an EJ can, no?
The bus scene has no words... and all we can do is loop and swoon. IF I ever visit Korea, I will totally hop on buses and do sth as PG and romantic, just saying. (and if we're lucky as those on that bus in the CU18 bts, we'll see C!J!M! filming a lovey dovey scene!)
The ajumma resto scene was time when EJ regressed to her hurt little momma's girl as dysfunctional their relationship was/is. and NOW KH put his words to action and pulls her in a soothing embrace.. AND united we go AWWW when he comforted her w/ his heartbreaking mom story. It's not his usual HS targeted soothing, rational cooing, it's them connecting, mind and body as hurt, damaged kids/adults. It's KH saying plainly 'I SEE YOU' Avatar wished it was effective.
He said (and I'm amidst tears), ' I was taken away in a car by big men, fr the car, I saw my mom running towards me and I thought, " Oh! Mom should not be running." and fr that day on, nobody allows us to see each other. My mom attempted to get a glimpse of me at where my brothers were, My brother chased my mom away... making her run. If he's let her have a glance, she wouldn't run...and went away.. just like that. I'll look for your mom for you. I will, for you, don't worry'

Well I went back and double check on something, JB posted this picture on her recap of

And I think this may bring a different angle in the Gun-wook/Mo-nae’s relationship, I must admit that the men's restroom scene look 100% full on the Erotic Side , but maybe because Mo-nae's is the one doing the pursuing per se, but I think maybe Gun-wook is actually playing the protective "Older Brother", in the Family Picture we can see that Mo-nae has already been born and maybe he is reminiscing of her as the baby sister, so far he has shown interest in her but he has shown uttermost respect for her in all the intersection we have seem so far, as opposed to his interaction with Tae-ra from the get go we see this full on Tension between the two as in when he reach into her Bosom, I mean if there is some "unresolved sexual tension " Tae-ra is the one at fault, but let me say this; I do not think that Gun-wook meant to demean her as a Woman, in the other hand he was the one who was demean by her violent reaction towards him, so he did something to level the Play Field, in the same way that she invaded his personal space as she slap him, he invades here space by way of playing and teasing her sexuality, I mean that Girl has such a Bad Attitude, and as my "Uncle Louie" used to say "That Girl Needs To Get Laid" Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha !!!!
But on a serious note, I think that Gun-wook is a really, really "Bad Man" but he is selective about his targets and so far he has shown that he may have a soft soft spot when it comes to Mo-nae!!!!

@v. YO! Girl Wat UP! HomeGirl! Have you seen Bad Guy Yet? Hey Coffee House is getting funnier by the Episode I hope that Jin-soo end up with Seung-yeon, I mean the show so far has shown her as the leading character that I do not know how will they write her up as the second lead girl, she has the most screen time and at the end of episode 4 just the mere fact that he ask for her phone and how frantic he got after she went to the hospital, the other lady is good but I do not see her as the OTP for this drama!!!
P.S "My Country Calls" Way to funny!!!! The Lead Girl Totally Rocks!!!!

And for CS ep 18....I really haven't been following it but I took a chance and figured something's got to happen after all the episodes of almost getting there and tears, etc, etc. So what happens? A hug in a busy street? What's with that? It's not even romantic!!!!

Sounds so beautiful. Opening one's heart to someone is like being able to trust in the connections between themselves and honor it. Ahhhh. I'm so waiting for episodes to be available.

haha, I'm not the only one ranting / obsessed about CU/CS :)
I'm so relieved that both KH and EJ are finally being honest with themselves ... hopefully episodes 17/18 are hinting to an ending where they can be together (before these episodes I was afraid of a bittersweet ending).
After watching 15/16 I was quite confused as to why DongSoo was there - sure, he's told EJ about KH's treachery, but I felt that he was given more screen time than necessary, if he only had that part (and then completely disappeared in later episodes) ...
But I LOVED the part when KS finally gets a good look at herself when she sees EJ's little counterpart - and then EJ manages to break out of her shell without her. i wonder what's going to happen to the little girl?

It was like a drop of rain in the long 18 episode drought......... nuf said.... If I were EJ, I would have not waste my time staring angrily at KH all these time. I would have done something a longgggggg time ago.....
So when MCC started, I was very pleasantly surprised on how fun it is (I thought it was going to be My sweet spy No.2) It was such a great change of gear ........

Happy Friday/Saturday in Seoul:)
My best friend gave birth this week to my little niece Faith(no one knew the name till she gave birth)....the funny thing is that our other best friend is also pregnant with a girl and chose the same name. Hmm....I wonder how the first will react:). I'm just happy to have two rugrats to spoil:)
I got tonsillitIs:(...but for some reason I am really cheerful right now:). Is it because Cinderella Unni was sooooo fabulous this week....YESYESYES:)!!!

Finally, a weekend that I have off, problem is the weather won't cooperate in Vancouver.
What to do, what to do?
Oh yeah, catch up on kdramas (old/new) . Now that episodes are coming out slower, due to more copyright issues, I have to find hobbies to fill in the gap. Does Bento-making count? Or reading manwhas?
Anyways, hope everyone has a great one as June is just around the corner.

I remember accidentally steaming my hand and it has to be one of the most painful things ever. And the love of my life was on hand to witness me at my most delirious-with-painest. Cringe. But it was 6yrs ago and I'm so over it. Not.
OK, Giant, I did type a super long entry about episodes 6-7 in the last OT and it barely made any sense at all. Just don't read it. All I want to say is 6-7 outdid even 4-5 which I thought would be impossible, how can it possibly outperfection perfection? But it amazingly did!
Oh, have you seen Bad Guy, yet? Sexy bastard, no?
I've just finished Father's House which was a 2-hr special drama with Kim Soo Hyun, but after watching it, I realise it had a very strong start but it becomes relatively weaker in the second hour. The main actor playing the father is fantastic, but I feel cheated, KSH is barely even in it, and when he is, his talent isn't even tapped into. He's just there as a pretty face.
Not meaning to typecast him but I was expecting at least small glimmers of at least Cha Kang Jin here, if nowhere near as powerful as his portrayal of Lee Sung Mo.
It's quite interesting really how the three recent roles he's played have had something to do with a father-son relationship, or lack of it and therefore a yearning for it - as in WISFC and now in Giant. I really do love Kim Soo Hyun, and I'm so grateful he never took the role Taecyeon's playing in Cinderella Unni, he would've been wasted there, WASTED! Y'hear me?
Giant may have only given him 8 episodes but that's 8 solid episodes, with solid writing and solid overall performances, someone hand this kid a baeksang, Yeo Jin-gu too, and Jung Bo Suk (OMG! He'll always be Major Cho to me!) and Nam Ji Hyun... and the little girl playing Mi Joo. If these actors don't get their due recognition after Giant - heads will roll!
The adult portion starts from episode 9 so I'm kind of bracing myself for the huge transitions ahead. I really hope they'll be smooth and convincing, 'cos I'm just so in love with the characters in the way they are now.

--- to see if Lee Bum Soo's version of Kang Mo and a grown-up version of Yeo Jin-gu can be synonymous, or else the magic will be lost. I actually see it working already.
Kim Myung Min was originally slated for this role but the Kang Mo we know has a kind of boyish, devilish charm and then those sad eyes. Sniff. Lee Bum Soo seems much better suited. And I really liked LBS in the opening scene in episode 1, atop the skyscraper.
Nam Ji Hyun will be replaced by Park Jin-hee, and I think it's a given I can see Park Jin-hee playing JY quite easily. She looked stunning in the previews, really pretty.
Wol Ya is playing smarmy bastard Cho Min-woo. And as Major Cho's son he has the necessary on-screen presence too. I can totally see it. This clip is SO Min-woo. Kim Myung Min would probably have been perfect playing the ahjusshi version of Lee Sung Mo, because SM is a very layered and complex character and off the scales intense. Kim Soo Hyun was undoubtedly awesome playing the 18yr old SM, but I've never seen Park Sang Min or even heard of him before, so I'm going to let the show surprise me. I like the casting so far and I'm liking these relatively unknowns. I'm more about the talent than the names anyway.
Now for Mi Joo! Oh! Little Mi Joo!!
One of the most enchanting little 5yr olds I've ever seen, she's the life and soul of any party and born to entertain with her beautiful voice (and that Hongdo Don't Cry-esque song she sings) and cute little dances. So the actress playing adult MJ better have that pull and the voice! I've never seen this actress before either and I'm not going to research her, I'm just going to hope she can surprise me pleasantly when she emerges - next week or the one after. I'm actually quite excited.

If you and v lose interest in the adult portions, let me know, it'll save me from having to rave about it and clog up OT with it... although it's also therapeutic to free my mind from all those whirring reactions after watching the show, heh! (But I'd hate to talk to myself!)

Yeah, I was so looking forward to TnK and the first episode did nothing for me...except for Ryoko, who it sounds like is carrying most of the show. I did watch the first episode of Yankee-kun while I was studying for finals, and thought it was super cute. Totally taken back by how cute (and how well) Narimiya Hiroki was in the drama. He has played some interesting roles in the past...probably the one that sticks out the most is in Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003. Come to think of it, he has taken on lots of darker roles in the past.. But he really is adorable in this...
I"m impressed that you all have weathered through the angst of CU. I dropped CU at episode 4 because it required way more energy to watch than I had at the time, but hopefully one day I will pick it up...if only for the cast (it's so rare to have such a solid cast, almost all whom I adore).
