Lee Je-hoon for High Cut

Word on the street is that Lee Je-hoon is the only reason to watch Fashion King. Er, I’ll take your word for it people, ’cause he sure is pretty, but that’s a lot to suffer through for the one you love. Here he is in High Cut, looking not quite so kingpin-of-fashion, but totally adorable.

Lee Je-hoon’s been in some stellar projects and gotten rave reviews left and right, but it seems his mainstream ticket was this spring’s hit movie Introduction to Architecture (a breakout project for all of the younger cast, actually), where he played a freakishly doppelganger mini-me version of young Uhm Tae-woong, romancing first love Suzy.

In fact this photo spread is called “First Love Lee Je-hoon,” though it doesn’t look particularly first-love-y, other than that’s just what Lee is associated with now. Not a bad moniker, since it’ll keep him in drama roles for as long as he wants. That trope’s not dying anytime soon. Or ever.

I’d personally rather see him in more quirky indie films and complex roles, because that’s where he really shines. But I trust that he’ll continue to keep a diverse resume worth following. Just ditch the pastel pants, and I’m all yours.

He is the only thing that makes Fashion King watchable, since the script is crazy and poor Yoo Ah-in's character written like second male lead material. That smile... Drool... Pink pants are not my thing either but i will endure it for him. *Fantasies of him in white chaebol suits*.

If you find the official answer to that question, please enlighten us. For me Jae-hyuk has hacked the male lead spot: Just because he has -more screen time-.You can check: I did to be sure. The character is clearly more charismatic, even full of flaws. He has more interesting interactions. He has all the best funny lines, plus the sexy ones. It's like the writer realized he had to reverse LJH and YAI spot on the stage. First time i see something like that.

His side profile is absolutely perfect, he has a great jawline and his nose is just flawless. What a handsome man, he also nearly tempted me to watch Fashion King but I managed to dodge that bullet. I hope Lee Je Hoon chooses a better project next because he is wasted in this role and I still cannot believe that both him and Yoo Ah In chose to do such a lackluster drama. Oh well, at least with the drama we get more photoshoots of him which I really don't mind.

Waaah, I have no idea that most people don't like a grey character, I mean, all the leads are no angels here.

Maybe the producers should stick with their previous plan to cast much older stars in this drama. I heard that Cha Seung Won was actually the one they wanted.

The plot had already gone to seed before it went to hell.
Remember the first episdoes?
What? Where? Who? PIRATES? Seriously?

That being said I LOVE THIS SHOW!
I love how horrible everyone is.
I love how confusing who is with whom and who hates whom.
I love all the tears and kisses and flips and kisses.

Mostly, I just stare at LJH being a JERK in his pretty clothes and dream of how it'll be when he gets to be in a real show.

He's the only reason to watch Fashion King? Nu-uh. It takes the combination of all four main leads ('cause by now the lines are so blurred between the original 1st and 2nd leads it doesn't make any difference anymore) to show what a total cheesetastic crapfest FK has become.

Lee Ji-hoon's High Cut pics look good. I'm just not too fond of guys who look like a stiff breeze could blow them over. He reminds me of a sharp-featured Whippet - all angles.

I like my lead guys to at least LOOK like they could piggyback the girl in need - Yuri would crush him.

Gahh! Lurrrve Fashion King.

It's a Choi Moon-seok, Lee Myung-woo, Kim Ki-ho, Lee Sun-mi reunion. Yes, that's every name that was associated with WHIB. So we've basically got another WHIB here, except on LSD.
The first three episodes were more Thousands Years of Love levels of outlandish hilarity, but after that it's pretty much WHIB the Sequel. It's so crazy I love it. And like WHIB again, it goes without clearly defining its OTPs. So you have no effin' idea what's going on except that it's happening. It just. Is.

Lee Je-hoon is marvellous as the lunacy that is rich boy Jung Jae-hyuk. By far my favourite character and I'm glad he gets to steal the show from Yoo Ah-in, every flippin' time.

The feeling of WHIB, which was, pretty much, "OMG, these poor people will NEVER be happy, will they?"
Is how I feel about FK.
But I loved WHIB for that reason.
This one has tamer villains, though, and so far, less pain.
I don't think we are heading for a happily ever after; I don't want one for this quartet. They are all soooo confused!

Allie, is it wrong to say Le Je-hoon >>>> Jo In-sung's rendition of the same-ish character?
He's wonderful. People may wonder why Lee Je-hoon picked this role but I say he's having a ball.

Jomo, probably wouldn't say 'tamer' - haha! But I would say there's a shift in demographic. This is probably aimed at the naive(r) 23 year old, whereas WHIB was for the more jaded 28 year old or something? Content is still darker, maturer (and deliberately twisted) than your average kdrama but I doubt we'll ever get another WHIB-like ending. But that doesn't mean I don't sense that horrible sinking feeling of impending DOOOM. *whimper*
But I can't stop watching, it's like a sickness, this show is consuming meeee... Must know what happeeeens....

@Supah, this is definitely 2012 Memories of Bali. Or should we just call it Memories of New York instead? :D

I mean, all characters are somehow almost similar and they even share the same surnames, Jung Jae Min -> Jung Jae Hyuk, Lee So Jung -> Lee Ga Young, Kang In Wook -> Kang Young Girl (LOL!) and Choi Anna must be the 2012 Choi Young Joo

And that's cool for me because the complicated love story in Memories of Bali is the reason why I watch this drama.

0

Ha! More like What The Heck Happened to my Designer Sweater in Brooklyn?
Yeah, the family name references just kind of substantiated exactly where this drama was headed.
Choi An-na definitely PWNs Choi Young-joo though -- on paper that is. Her character's actually meatier than Ga-young's. She's savvy and serves up as good as she takes from both guys and she has some pretty cool dialogue when she's not whining. Whilst Yuri's doing a fairly reasonable job, I think a more experienced actress could have done so, SO much more for the character.
Kang Young-gul is too dynamic and brazen (and an arrogant asshole of) a character to be anywhere near the silent-suffering Romeo that was Kang In-wook but then... they do share the same sulky ''I hate Jung Jae-[insert relevant name] because he was born rich and I was born poor and it's ALL his fault. He will pay for this!'' mantra.

Would be cool if both guys could just 'fess up and just marry each other already. Hee!
