Random rant & I guess OT is the place for that so . . . I had to forbid my sister from talking about kdramas with me last nite. We got into a "discussion" b/c I finally convinced her (after yrs of begging) to watch Coffee Prince and she didn't finish it b/c she said she didn't like it THEN she added insult to injury by doing the same thing w/Queen InHyun's Man. She now refuses to listen to my drama recommendations & even though I tell her, for ex, that YFAS is great & worth watching she says I gave bad taste in dramas. What kills me is that she's a (gasp) daily drama watcher. She can watch those looooong, 150+ episodes of makjang, mother in law, family madness but sneers at my taste in dramas?

Meanwhile, my husband, who was sitting next to me during this "discussion" thinks we're both crazy and I, too, am starting to agree seeing as how my only outlet is to rant about it on the OT of my fav kdrama blog, lol.

Not crazy at all, a_diva. Don't let them zqp your kdrama energy! Your family obviously doesn't share your refined taste for kdrama addiction, but have no fear! There are plenty of us here on db with whom you can laugh, cry, squee, rant, and rave to your hearts content. And we will only love you more for it. My family members are "cautious" when I mention kdramas. My brother will join me when I am in town, but only for 2 episodes at the most in a sitting. It makes for boring, but I take what I can get. he is actually the only enthusiast (and that's limited) I know in person. Otherwise, I heavily rely on beanies and the great and powerful db team!

Anyway, you know when you are on page 2 of OT there are plenty of kdrama lovers who will support you. Understand you. Give you TLC. Not to worry. Not crazy at all a_diva.

Haha well, people have different tastes. I don't care for makjangs either (unless well written) but I could not get into CP or QIYM either. I can tell they are good objectively but I just didn't connect and trust me, I tried. I think you should just respect each others' tastes in dramas.

Consider it awesome that you have family members into kdramas. Some people have to endure being made fun of for watching kdramas LOL...

Warm Words is pretty good. Its not the "oh I fell in love with someone else, now my heart is aching to get together with my secret love" kind of thing (and of course contrary to the initial assumption when the poster and snippet of story came out on Dramabeans - that it was going to be a everyone sleeping with everyone kind of story.. though that was why I watched, to see how that would work as a drama). Instead the maturity of Ji Jin Hee and Han Hye Jin took the story in a different perspective, they in fact are not trying to get together, instead chose to make things work with their own family.

Because there's two married couples, with two very different family - one supportive and the other demanding.. Two very different personalities of spouses- one who yearns for the love, the other a complete opposite. So it does really bring two sides of the challenge.

And this week, oh my gosh, the two opposite sides is going to come together!!. What will happen.....
