[Giveaway] Win a 1-year subscription to watch dramas on Kocowa

We’re always happy to give away free stuff to Beanies, especially when that free stuff is hours and hours (and hours) of drama-watching! We have 10 annual subscriptions to give away to our readers from streaming service Kocowa, which is currently available to everyone in North and South America (sorry, everyone everywhere else in the world!).

Kocowa is a partner of the Big 3 stations in Korea—KBS, MBC, and SBS—so the content you’ll find there is from those three networks, all subbed in English. The shows range from the newest dramas (Mystery Queen 2, Radio Romance, Should We Kiss First, Return) to variety and K-pop music shows (Running Man, Infinite Challenge, Weekly Idol, Inkigayo). Everything is available through the website and the app, and the service is also now available on Chromecast.

To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment down below telling us where you watch your dramas these days. Winners will be chosen at random. We accept no responsibility for the hours that you will spend binge-watching dramas for the next year of your life if you win. Enter at your risk.

Giveaway rules:

  • Leave a comment below telling us where you watch your dramas these days.
  • Make sure to use a registered account on Dramabeans so we can contact you if you win.
  • Giveaway will be open until Monday, March 12, 2018 at 8:00 PM (Pacific Time). Winners will be contacted directly.
  • Reminder: The annual subscription can only be used in North America and South America.

I watch either on Viki or Dramafever (I subscribe to both) and for some shows, I take advantage of the 24 hr free viewing on Kocowa. I have also used the ondemandkorea app for a couple of variety shows.

The real question is where don't I watch my dramas these days. When I first read the question, I thought it could go in 2 different directions. I honestly thought about location first before the platform.

A. In my living room, on my bed, on my room floor ,occasionally in a moving vehicle and in my parents house (from where I watch the most to where I watch the least)

B. Dramafever, viki, netflix, asiancrush, korean stations on cable tv (from where I wathch the most to where I watch the least)

Hi beanies, a lurker here. I watch my dramas mostly on Viki and Dramafever. If the subs aren't ready and I'm dying to watch the episode I look around the web, and if that doesn't work I watch them raw, then read your recaps.

Mainly use Viki to watch my dramas or if anything interesting gets put on Netflix, then I go there (although I've already seen 90% of the kdramas that get put on Netflix)

Kocowa viki is the first place I check if I'm watching the drama as it airs. If not, I go to Dramafever or peruse Dailymotion in Hangul for raws (I'm a Korean speaker). I do re-watch via Netflix to show my support if I quite liked a drama. If I really can't find it anywhere legit (and there seems to be more of this these days), I turn to a variety of streaming sites, even the sketchy ones that blitz you with pop-ups...I will go to extreme lengths to get my kdrama fix.

My go-to drama outlets are Viki & Dramafever. Occasionally Netflix, but only if it's one I can't find anywhere else. It just depends who has the content I'm most interested in at that time. I LOVE my Korean dramas and can't live without them! I'll watch/stream them anywhere (phone, computer) but prefer the living room TV with that crisp HD quality on my always reliable Roku!

I currently watch my dramas at free streaming sites (yikes lol) because I am a student and I am broke. Hah. I did try the free 1-month trial from Kocowa and I absolutely enjoyed it because (1) HD, (2) fast subtitles, and (3) they offer much more dramas to watch in one website!

I watch most of my dramas on Viki (because of an initial offer on Dramabeans for the relaunch of the new website). I also subscribe to TVN, KBS etc clips on Youtube (supplemented by recaps on Dramabeans).

Well my preferred place to watch dramas is tucked into bed. As far as sites: Viki! Dropped my subscription to Dramafever because they had no new dramas for a while. Probably will pick it up again since they are getting more. And Netflix because OCN has a darned straight-to-Netflix policy right now it seems.
