Will try Heist: Korea and hopefully it won't do the same thing that made me stop watching the original.

I love NGM and would love to watch another drama with him, but my God who keeps casting KJE, it is like watching paint dry with her. I will try it for him, but unless she is sidelined, she takes me out of a drama every time.

Excited for Insider because I love LYY.

Woo Do Hwan, 😏.

Vigilante sounds interesting.

I just adore KJH, he can't seem to catch a break though, a good drama, and then a hiatus. I hope he accepts.

Right there with you on Kim Ji-eun. I don’t get it. Who is so enamoured with her that she keeps getting lead roles opposite A listers?

Right with you on KJE. She’s the least compelling thing in AML and frankly feels like a HSH knock off but without the charisma or acting ability. She needs to spend more time in supporting roles or she’ll start to feel like another JSY.

I usually don't care that much about an actor's charisma or screen presence, but in Again My Life it really bothers me. Every time Hee A appears, she just don't pull me in, and make me wonder why she is the lead. Comparing her with the other ladies doesn't help, especially Han Mi, even Gyu Ri who at first didn't get my attention, now i like her. Though I'm glad it's not a romance drama, otherwise I will have severe SfLS for a second time.

At which season I have to stop watching Money Heist so I wouldn’t dislike it?

I stopped after the first episode, lol, so I am the wrong person to answer this. @kurama stopped after season 1, so maybe season 1.

Bona and WDH? Never imagined them together but it’s such a fresh combination I’m already excited.

1. Part ONE??!? What the hell is this YA movie-era obsession with splitting perfectly contiguous stories into separate entities? I swear to god, Netflix deserves all that subscription loss.

2. I’m sorry but someone in the higher echelons of the entertainment industry must be very invested in Kim Ji-eun’s career because I cannot for the life of me understand why she, out of the literal hundreds of up-and-coming actresses out there, is getting prestigious lead roles seemingly out of thin air.

3. Kang Haneul and Lee Yoo-young, LETS GOOOOOOOO.

4. The Cha Tae-hyun copaganda ride continues…

5. I’m always here for Woo Do-hwan, especially in a lead (romance! sageuk!!) role with a new-ish actress I like. Even if the title cracks me up.

6. God they already look so cute together. I’m gonna be so sad when they break up.

7. Lee Joon-hyuk, my beloved ❤️. Him and NJH sounds cool, but when will he be a lead again?

8. Ooh he’s back! I hope he accepts and gains back some momentum from Mr. Queen. His hiatus couldn’t have happened at a worse time, career trajectory-wise.

9. More cuties!! But I can’t help noticing how unnaturally whitened and bleached-out their skin looks. I hope it’s just the promos and not in the drama.

Okay my second write-up sounds unduly harsh, even in immediate retrospect. I don’t mean that Kim Ji-eun didn’t work hard to end up the leading lady position she’s currently in or that, god forbid, she did something…not strictly legal to get to where she is. All I meant is that I don’t find her to be a particularly compelling actor onscreen and that she should probably work on her acting ability a bit more.

Idk, I just had to write this even if nobody really cared about how I wrote my initial response because some of my wording sounds like I think she’s sketchy or something. I know weird accusations like these are especially targeted towards younger actresses and I don’t want to be part of that in any way - even in the form of an irritated blog comment.

I didn't really like the original Money Heist, I stopped after the first season. So I don't really care about the Korean adaptation. But they got good actors.

Namgoong Min is reuniting with Kim Ji-eun, but why? Can he get an older actress once? KJE's acting couldn't make me forget the gap of 15 years between them.

I'm very excited to watch the next Woo Do-Hwan's drama. But they need to be more orignal with their story and the title : Joseon Exorcist, Joseon Psy, Joseon Gunman...

Yumi's Cell is back soon \o/

Namgoong Min and Kang Ha-nuel are always consistent and reliable acting wise, well made crime and legal dramas are hard to come by these days, so I hope they deliver.

As for Kim Ji-eun, is she a good actress (no), but she is no different from the Suzys and the Yoona's of the world who have the acting ability of a boiled egg but still keep getting booked in high profile projects.

Let the girl enjoy her employment.

She is shockingly worse than both Yoona and Suzy. At least they bring energy to the screen and are memorable . She literally brings nothing to the screen. Her acting isn’t just bad it’s boring so yes Yoona and Suzy are miles ahead of her in terms of being actors. She is completely forgettable and doesn’t stand out in the least. They could replace her with a sack of potatoes and it would make no difference.

With any other mediocre actress, I’d wholeheartedly agree with you and go my way. However in the case of Kim Ji-eun, I have to admit that in comparison to her, even the likes of YoonA and Suzy - especially the latter IMO - bring something of a presence to their characters. It’s not usually something positive, but it’s something. I at least remember them being in a given drama. Kim Ji-eun’s overall screen presence and acting talent (lack thereof) has the cardinal sin of being forgettable. The epitome of the “go girl, give us nothing!” meme.

I swear I don’t dislike her as a person or anything, it just pains me to see her trying and failing to keep up with all the actors around her. I’d root for her to slowly improve her craft like any other actor, but it confuses me how she’s currently failing upwards.

Suzy and Yoona, while people can argue over their acting skill (though I enjoyed several of suzy's dramas and like her characters and like Yoona in some movies), they definitely are far ahead in term of screen presence. It's first time I'm really bothered by the lack of screen presence from a lead actor. Every time KJE share a frame with other characters in AML, my attention automatically goes to the others.

"It’s not usually something positive" (Loooool)

I get what you're saying though , a terrible performance is far better than a forgettable one, because at least viewers will remember it.

My point was simply that she's not the first mediocre actress to get top placement on the call sheet and she likely won't be the last.

Huh. Well, I certainly have no idea who she is and wonder if I’ve ever seen a drama she’s in. Off to look her up.

I didn't watch the original money heist so I might give this a try.

I want to see Woo Do-Hwan in his new drama.

As for Yumi's cells 2 I'm not yet sure what to do since I learned that even Jinyoung isn't the end game in the webtoon😩

I liked the original Money Heist and am looking forward to the adaptation, but both Yoo Ji-tae and Park Hae-soo are going to have to work miracles to make me think they were the right casting choices.

I like Cha Tae-hyun but not another cop. He's been typecast so bad.

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area : never watched the original version but I'd like to because of those strong casts like Yoo Ji-tae (yasssss, he's the main reason), Park Hae-soo (another yassss) and
Jeon Jong-seo (yassssssss this girl)

Insider - CAN'T WAIT! Welcome back, Kang haneul. If he's good here, he will reserve his seat in Baeksang again.
