I really hoped that Dr. Cha would break 20%.
It however seems most likely that Dr. Kim 3 will clinch the 20% I wanted Dr. Cha to achieve and that Good Bad Mother is coming for Dr. Cha's jtbc trophy. I do wonder how it gets the ratings when people are almost pissed with the main character's mom.

The story and acting are keeping me coming back. The acting of all the leads and the children is second to none. The last few dramas have shown me that the characters do not need to be my kind of people for me to keep watching a show, if they are brought to life by exceptional acting.

DR CHA is most impressive even if it didn’t reach 20%. 18% cable ratings is close enough to a national drama status on a public channel.
I hope DR ROMANTIC will reach 20%. The last 2 seasons are still miles ahead in ratings.

The Good Bad Mother is a makjang, but saved by its acting. With one week left to go, I doubt that it will come for Doctor Cha’s JTBC trophy.

If Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 3 only gets 20%, I think that SBS would consider it a "failure."

Good Bad Mother. The main character's mom is relatable if you are korean and 30+.

I'm not Korean, but I'm Asian and I'm a mother in 30+. I kind of understand the lead character. I don't hate her.

I hope I can give her (and moms like her in real life) as much hugs...

Its so good to watch The good bad mother’s climb each week let’s hope it finishes strong. It would be great if it could get to 15% for the final episode but its a big leap from the current high of 11% so I would be very happy with 12%.

I'm happy for Doctor Cha but maaan I hated that ending.

Yes the ending is pretty lame considering the support she received from Roy Kim. Her rejecting him was my big let down. He really cared for her well being, very considerate, kind and gentle. They could be happy together but alas.

The reasoning for it made ZERO sense, too. I'll complain more about it when the review is released, lol.

Viewers hating the ending seems to be common with JTBC's highest-rated dramas: Doctor Cha, Reborn Rich, Sky Castle, The World of the Married (but that was a remake).

I liked the ending. It was selfLESS and very her. There is too large of an age gap between them and they have different priorities in life. One has been married and had children. Been there done that. The other person is still young and isn't at the same place in life.

How is FOUR years too large of an age gap between them? She is 46 Korean age and he is 42, yet he's still young while she's too old? If he wants to have kids like she wants him to, he clearly will not be marrying someone his age.

Right? And don't we normally hate in dramas when characters make decisions for another character in their supposed "best interest"?

Not everyone needs to get into a relationship after a divorce

I didn't just want her in a relationship for the hell of it, the drama sold me on Roy/Jeong-suk specifically.

DR. CHA ended well and deserved the audience which it got.

THE REAL HAS COME! is really only drawing a so-so audience for a weekender. I find that this is surprising.

I also would have expected TALE OF THE NINE-TAILED to do better than this.

Doctor Cha’s finale was underwhelming, but the show had been spinning its wheels for a week.

If Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 3 doesn't reach the previous seasons' high ratings (unlikely), I blame Lee Geung-young because his character (and its writing) ruined this show.

I don't always pay attention to ratings, but I can't remember ever seeing one as low as Oh! Young-shim's 0.2%. I wonder if ENA counted on the 90s nostalgia demographic and totally misjudged its appeal.

That's my guess. It's also just... kinda bad. I enjoy it but I recognize that it's not a good drama, lol.

I wonder too if the very similar premise to Love is for Suckers was a factor.

Its Monday rating is even lower as TBA means too low to report. I hope that Lies Hidden in My Garden starring Kim Tae-hee and Lim Ji-yeon, who is coming off her The Glory success, helps to revitalize ENA.

Yes I was wondering how low it had to be to get TBA!

Lower than 0.1% probably. Which is simply brutal, I can only vague recall ratings like that from early 2010s when cable channels just became a thing in SK and breaking 1% for them was a rarity and big deal.
