Byun Woo-seok, Kim Hye-yoon
- tvN is planning a new timeslip romance called Pick Up Sun-jae and Run (roughly translated), with Byun Woo-seok (Moonshine) as a dying top star while Kim Hye-yoon (Snowdrop) is the woman who’s going back to the past to save him. Written by Lee Shi-eun (True Beauty) with co-directing by PD Kim Tae-yub (When My Love Blooms) and PD Yoon Jong-ho, the web novel adaptation is currently slated for a future Monday-Tuesday slot. - ENA announced their lineup for the new fantasy The Moon that Rises in the Day (roughly translated), which stars Kim Young-dae (The Forbidden Marriage), Pyo Ye-jin (Taxi Driver 2), Ohn Joo-wan (Penthouse 3), and Jung Woong-in (The Good Bad Mother). Based on a popular webtoon by the same title, the series is launching on October 25, with PD Pyo Min-soo (The Third Charm) directing and scripts by Kim Hye-won. [Sports Donga]

- After playing a superhero in Disney+’s upcoming Moving, Han Hyo-joo is reviewing an offer to become a famous fashion designer for her next project, a new drama called In Your Brilliant Season (roughly translated). Still in the planning stages, the romance will be written by Jo Sung-hee (Thirty But Seventeen, She Was Pretty). [10 Asia, EDaily]
- Kim Ah-joong (Grid) is in talks for War of Daechi-dong’s Number Ones (roughly translated), which will be delving into the personal dilemmas faced by South Korea’s private education instructors. Production is still in the early stages, with Seo In (Law School, Nothing to Lose) penning the scripts. [Star News, Xports News]
Jang Ki-yong, Chun Woo-hee
- Jang Ki-yong (Now, We Are Breaking Up) confirmed his post-army project, playing a superhero who loses his powers in Although I Am Not a Hero. Also starring Chun Woo-hee (Delightfully Deceitful), filming is set to begin next month with Joo Hwa-mi (Welcome, Marriage Not Dating) writing and PD Jo Hyun-tak (Snowdrop, SKY Castle) at the helm. - Over on JTBC, a new poster has dropped for Behind Your Touch, giving us our first glimpse of Suho (Rich Man) alongside our main pair, Han Ji-min (Yonder) and Lee Min-ki (My Liberation Notes). The fantasy rom-com premieres next month on August 12, following King the Land in the weekend slot. [JTBC]

Pick Up Sun-jae and Run : I'm so happy to see Kim Hye-Yoon in a new drama! Her neck will suffer with Byun Woo-seok too. Poor girl, she acts only with very tall actors : Rowoon, Lee Jae-Wook, Taecyeon and now BWS :p W
The Moon that Rises in the Day : so 2023 is the year of reincarnation! I'm not sure if the leads can sell me a romance.
In Your Brilliant Season : After the Blue Dragon Serie awards, I need Han Hyo-joo and Jung Hae-In in a melo :p

1. Why do they keep putting Kim Hye Yoon with men far and away too tall for her. The poor girl has to stay in heels.
2. This looks interesting and the pairing is age appropriate.
3. I love fashion designer dramas. They are always so fun and usually have interesting PPL, plus Han Hyo Joo!!
4. Kim Ah Joong, haven't seen her in a minute. Teacher dramas are always interesting.
5. Superhero, another one. We shall see if they are any good.
6. I still am not sure how I feel about the butt touching.

I am at least tentatively interested in all of these things, which is fun. And a time-slip drama where the woman is the time traveler? Awesome!
Does anyone know if Suho can act? I doubt his part is a heavy lift, but I've never seen him in anything. Other than music videos, I guess.

I watched Rich Man with him and neither the drama nor him were any good. The stuff I sat through in my early years of drama watching 😖.

Hmm, thanks for the insight. Maybe he’ll be able to lean on his costars a bit. Or maybe the drama will be so wild I won’t want to watch it anyway hahaha! I really feel like it could be amazing or terrible but might be hard for it to be in between.

THIS IS NEVER GOING TO GET OLD!!!1! I have literally zero interest in seeing this drama except that it has Lee Min-ki in it, so I will have to. However, it will be absolutly no problem whatsoever to pay frickin' RAPT attention to every Dramabeans comment about it because people are just gonna have to say "butt" a lot.
I have the sense of humor of a seven-year-old who doesn't get out much.

I loved “Happiness” so much because of the pairing of Han Hyojoo and Park Hyunshik. I would so love to see them back together again in a quality drama with a slow burn but with a good payoff relationship.

I feel very meh about all of these up-and-comers. Maybe something will start sounding more appealing the closer it gets. I usually like Han Ji-Min and Lee Min-ki, I just think the butt touching is weird, idk.
