Premiere Watch: Queen of Divorce

Time slot: Wednesday-Thursday
Broadcaster: JTBC
Genre: Comedy, action, legal
Episode count: 12
Global streamer: VIU/Kocowa

Reasons to watch: Yes, I know Lee Jia is the wonderful and capable star here, but Kang Ki-young has finally reached leading man status, and this is a moment to be celebrated across the dramaverse. *Confetti* He’s been a supporting actor and scene-stealer since High School King of Savvy almost ten years ago, and now he’s starring alongside Lee Jia. The two play partners in a divorce settlement firm that helps spouses that desperately need divorces — with a load of hijinks on the side. In addition to the PD from the totally enjoyable Sell Your Haunted House, we can also look forward to the supporting cast of Kim Sun-young, Seo “I have no chingu” Hye-won, Oh Min-suk, and more.

TL;DR: KANG KI-YOUNG IS IN A LEADING ROLE

January was long because of the wait. I'm super excited.

Finally a week day drama has dropped that I want to see. I am hoping it is as funny as the trailers indicated.

Finally! I have been waiting for this drama since Kang Ki Young was announced as the main lead, instead of the usual second lead or villain

Yes, this is exactly why I'll be watching!

It's available on Viki but not on my region... sighs while keeping the confetti in the bag.

It's not on Viki for the European region. At least today.

It’s on Viki PLUS US! Yay! Glad it’s a weekday drama and not weekend.

I am here for the TL:DR

Oh wow, already?? I'll have to find some time to squeeze this in before Friday (because I have three dramas to watch over the weekend).

Beanies outside the US... try requesting at Viki's request link. I always use it if a drama hasn't already been snapped up by Netflix/Disney/Prime. It's worth a try! The more people who request it from your region, the more likely they are to purchase the rights for it.

I second that suggestion heartily. I have requested several shows in the past and some were picked up. This seems like it would be an obvious choice.

Thank you for the link. I just sent my request in for it.

Done, so ridiculous that it is available in one area and not another. Surely they want to maximise their market share and revenue why not pay up for shows that will be popular.

There must be some rhyme or reason but it's surely frustrating when you pay a monthly fee and expect that current releases they license will be available in all regions. Even in the US I come across dramas that aren't available here -- both on Viki and on Prime.

I have done it a few times, usually requesting old dramas which I know are available in other regions.
It seems to be in vain, though :/

Requesting old dramas probably is in vain, unfortunately.

all I see is: Jung Myeong-Seok left *Hanbada* and now is taking life less seriously after his stomach cancer LOL It's nice to see him as a good guy again after his nasty demons char in *Uncanny Counter 2*.

Oh I hate seeing OH Min Suk as such a terrible person. But he plays it well. I believe it is on Kocowa app too.

Kang Ki-young as the leading man; and more importantly, Kang Ki-young in those lil glasses and suits! And honestly, I've been obsessed with all of Lee Jia's fits in the promo material. We will all be watching.
