I have a backlog of dramas I want to catch up with and instead… I have the tango scene from Demon on repeat. Everything just clicks there for me, from the music and choreography of the central dance (and slap 😄)… to the stepping and dancing gangsters with their baseball bats… their boss trying to resist the charm… and then the rose petals flying around… ingenious.

I’ve watched the tango scene 3 times already and I predict I’ll watch it at least once a day until the next episode drops.
    It’s outrageous and I can’t stop chuckling.

First time watching: my brain is wondering what the hell is going on. My eyes are taking in more information than my brain can process.

Second time: I cheering them on like an idol concert.

Third time: I’m dancing along with them in my pajamas

The rose petals were the cherry on top of the cake. Also a change from the usual cherry blossoms. 🌸 🤣

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this statement. It’s not a case of missing out on other dramas. it is about our very precious well-being. It is about healing the bruises we’ve collected this year with K-dramas that failed to embrace our hearts with tenderness and care. It is about having an early Christmas present at the end of a long and busy year. We, poor and innocent Beanies, have been let down far too often this year, and we’ve rightly deserved a little tango. We’ve earned it!

We’re not watching the tango scene on repeat because we lack discipline. We watching it on repeat because it’s now part of an absolutely essential self-care routine and nothing will change my mind about it.

Anyway, pass me the popcorn while we replay the tango scene yet again.
