Tbh I was really looking forward to this. Overall I really like the concept of the song and the MV and their mature vibe, but musically the song is a miss for me. Taemin’s voice is so nice, but why to that music? SM! *cries* In comparison, Key’s solo was much more my style of music. ^^;
Disclaimer: I’m not a Shawol, and enjoy Shinee’s music casually, so my opinion might not be as positive as that of fans.
I like it. It is on a repeat right now. We will see if it turns to love. I find it catchy. Love when he drops his voice to a lower register. I’m not sure of technical terms , but I like when he uses his voice in different ways.
He looks and moves well. The MV did remind me a bit of Retro Future.
The timing of the string of MJ references is hard. My mind goes right to what I read about Leaving Neverland.
However, I love Taemin’s dancing and will be curious to see the stages and practice video.
I really like it! The melody is super interesting and flowy in comparison to the thumping bassline. It’s not as catchy as his other releases and a bit mellow, so it may not appeal to everyone. My only qualm about the MV is the super strong wind/fan that keeps blowing his hair around lol
Now for the WANT mini album vs MOVE mini album: MOVE is the winner. I’m not a big fan of any of the B-sides on WANT.
From a casual fan-It’s more mellow than I expected, but I like it. I like the aesthetics of the music video, though I kinda hate that he’s just in a room. I like the way he utilizes his voice.
I liked the aesthetics more than the song itself.
The song is just meh for me, and I like the other songs on the album better.
But I could watch this MV all day!
I am digging the MV and the intro part of the song. However, I wish there was more to the song. I feel like it could have gone weird and dark places. Still really good though, just feel like it could have been “slightly” better. That MV though….I could watch it for days.
I liked it!! I saved it and I liked it more than Move…
The base combined with the siren type sound as part of the music was cool, and I personally thought they balanced it out with moments of silence and base drops. It did kinda just… end though.
(@greenfields– I like both Key’s solo and this haha!)
I also liked the snakes but then I’m creepy and weird and I loved the effect when they disintegrated. The style of the MV with the aesthetic symbolism was right up my alley.
Who said it should’ve been darker? @umbrellaman? I want to agree but somehow I doubt SM would go darker? Although I guess Monster is pretty dark lol.

OOH no denying that. Taemin is…fluid? I think sensuous was really the right concept to go with, for him.

The snakes freak me out. I’m just delving into the other songs. I still need to fully explore Move too. The title track is just so good.

There are certain shots in the video that remind me of Jong-hyun’s Crazy. I’ve been wondering if they were made by the same director. 🤔

I like it! Taemin’s a great dancer and I think I will be listening to the song again.
