My specimens are far from the real thing. I’m new to the world of laminated goodness, previously lamination = plastic. Oh,I didn’t know butter can be plasticized too!
Lesson from this bake = never egg wash with yolk only. I had only the yolk but should have skipped it altogether. Result – I ruined the look, too burnt. @bammsie remember my issue with the baguette? This time I floured my tea cloth with rice flour, it worked like magic.
I actually did but maybe I added too little milk. Thanks for the tip though! It’s useful because often I just make do with leftovers. Today, I used the egg white for batter so I had the yolk.

Next time you can mix egg yolk with little bit of milk and it could work nice.
