REPLY1988 vs Fight For my Way. These two dramas aren’t similar at all the only thing I’m comparing them with is that both dramas don’t have high stakes. Both are feel good dramas that are what I would describe as simple. Its just a bunch of characters living their normal lives, who want to fulfill their dreams. I found both dramas really easy to watch, maybe there were stale parts here and there but overall it was quite enjoyable.
Reply 1988 all the way. Not sure if I’d call it a feel good drama? Reply 88 is one of the best kdramas in my opinion so there were not many that could have beaten it in these matches, it’s like a heavy weight vs light weight kk.
Reply 1988 is a perfect drama. On the other hand Fight for my way has a lot of issues and most importantly for the main love story is kind of not very healthy, you can’t love a person really if you don’t let them do the job they love. I found it pretty mean that FL put the condition on him to leave professional mma before she would say yes to him. It’s already a very physically challenging profession and most of players can’t play for long time and it was the dream of ML to do it.
On the other hand… I don’t think I will ever call R88 a feel good easy watch… Maybe R97, but never R88. It seemed designed to break your heart at every other step.

(BECAUSE WHY NOT!)
Both are “feel good dramas” in my opinion and I can’t decide which one portrayed that best..
I need the kdrama veteran opinions!

While both of them are great, Reply 1988 is in another league. One of the rare gems.

Reply 88. I’m one of the very few people who disliked Fight For My Way. And it truly saddened me because I loved all the actors.

I liked them both, but definitely Reply 88 wins over all kdramas for me (though I never watched the last episode)
