Beanie level: Candy

so #beforethedramaendstonight, while I love that it seems like Ha Yoon-kyung is loved and gets more recognition for her role as Cho-won, I’d love more for her to get to play more diverse roles other than “sunshine” image now.
Maybe it’s just my personal preference, but rather than a pretty woman from well-off background with bright personality and pretty clothes type of character (as in She would never know, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, See you in my 19th life), I hope to see her more as a your everyday friend/colleague in plainer clothes type of character, maybe with everyday-er struggle in work and in love too, besides the class difference issue. Maybe it’s also just me missing her Seon-bin (in Hospital Playlist), and wish the different background issue (I think it doesn’t reach the level of “class” yet) between her and Seok-min had been fleshed out much much more.
(And for reference, her character in “What are you doing in the office?” does fit which I mention. Not my favorite but it’s an okay short drama, 2 episodes x 75 mins, if anyone’d like to check out. Though I saw it with fansub in my language and don’t know where to watch legally..)

That being said, definitely no complain for rougher look & vibe either, as at the moment I look forward to her upcoming crime drama “Bulk” (for which please please don’t waste the chance that Cha Eun-woo won’t join, and cast a decent actor okay?), and movie “Lost” – peeked at trailer & stills and I like her red brown hair there. Actually the movies she has roles in so far (as listed in mydramalist) does seem darker than dramas, but less accessible I guess..

(and totally random but somehow this image remind me of Goong :p

Finished Divorce Attorney Shin and I like it.
It may not be the show I would recommend for lots of people as the story isn’t that appealing; but it entertained me enough, I like the humour, the cases aren’t too bad either (and better than Strangers Again for example for sure).
I keep watching for our characters and their stories, especially Sung-han, who is played by Jo Seung-woo quite effortlessly it seems. (also recently I’ve been rewatching Forest of Secrets during dinner time with my brother, then watched this show by myself later, which sometimes made me feel like I’m an avid fan of his XD
And as the show did switch from mentioning and using trot songs to classical music, I wonder if anyone has any issue with it? Ain’t familiar with both so I just find the pieces did fit with the emotional scenes, and likely to go back to rewatch those one day.

Nothing wrong with being an avid fan of Jo Seung-woo. Nothing at all…

FWIW, I think Trot is like a “Marmite genre” of music. You either like it or you hate it.

But to your direct point, in this show, I took the vascillation between the classical and the contemporary to suggest that while Sung-han had reasons to want to leave behind the life where he was a concert pianist, he couldn’t leave music behind altogether.

I also loved loved the use of “Erlkönig” in the scene you have illustrated above. It’s actually a piece I know well (as a listener, not a musician) and when he played it, I thought, “I hope this isn’t foreshadowing.” Unfortunately for me, I think it was and it wasn’t–I thought they could have actually done more with the themes of that poem/song.

Let’s not start with Jo Seung Woo. I feel like a stalker kind of fan as of late.
Now, the music in DAS is something I enjoyed, especially the classical. I like how he used pieces of backstory about it to explain his take on certain cases.

1/ My Cho-won is going to prove that she is indeed just a bit babo in next 30s (and in next gif).
2/ Even Ji-eum, (kinda)-confession-master, can’t approve of this situation.
3/ Infamous wrist grab: checked.

Could any fellow Beanie please kindly tell me if fan wall post is limited characters according to Beanie level?

No, 200 characters for everybody. But you can write in a notes app and copy and paste here with no editing.

I like that the drama has Do-yoon a bit more relaxed and open than in the webtoon, where he is mostly your usual cold and distant secretary. Enjoy his expressions here, and also the sleep over scene!

(More of) Excuse me that I have eyes for them, while they have eyes for each other. Albeit respectively.

Scanning for possible injuries complete huh?

And, also his fleetingly but intensely panicked/concerned/jealous/attached look towards Cho-won when she expressed the tiniest bit of aegyo towards Seo-ha, in the moment right after that last screen-cap. Gold.

Yess I like that look too, especially that both her aegyo and his frown happened quite naturally and fitted in the situation.

    WAIT A MINUTE

The secretary is staring at younger sister while she ain’t.. and clearly the glass broke on the other side..

he he .. spotted a little gem.. he looks not once but twice.. and doesn’t bother to look at the people on the other side of the broken glass river

If it were me, I’d look over my person first regardless of other people, or where the broken glasses were too hehe

As I rewatched, I noticed in ep2 when Seo-ha refused to see Cho-won in his office,

she was supposed to cast a look back at him right? Guess whom her eyes lingered on instead.
Maybe it’s me reading too much into things now, but back then if only I’d seen this, I wouldn’t have been fooled that easily..
