Heading to the Ground to air in Japan next year

Well, MBC may have cut down its underperforming Heading to the Ground not once but twice, but perhaps it’ll fare better in Japan: the soccer drama will air beginning in January under the slightly altered title No Limit: Heading to the Ground.

The drama may have had a dismal run in Korea, but with U-Know Yunho’s (and DBSK’s) popularity in Japan, hopefully the show will meet with a happier reception there. A source explained, “Because of Dong Bang Shin Ki’s popularity in Japan, there have been several talks with Japanese broadcasters ever since Heading to the Ground began broadcasting in Korea. Currently, we are in the final stages of making the contract.”

No Limit: Heading to the Ground will air one special broadcast on December 23 on the channel KNTV, then begin weekly broadcasts on January 24. Its Korean run ends this Wednesday with Episode 16, following a four-episode cut from its initial twenty-installment order.

  1. Hmm…Yunho!! Good luck!!
Javabeans…I wonder this drama nice or not? what’s ur opinion??

  2. hmm, i’d say tvxq is dang popular “here” in korea too. i say their popularity won’t be enough to really make it a success in japan, if the drama is as bad as i hear.

  3. me to….are this drama is nice…???? any opinion…..

  4. well anything to break even if anything with profits on this drama (haven’t watched it) i lifted a brow reading this. there are a LOT of dbsk fans in korea and definitely more in korea than japan and most dbsk fans love yunho so i’m not sure how much better this will do in japan. i remain impassive as i’m not that into dbsk or dramas that aren’t that good (although once again have not watched so i suppose i can’t judge)

  5. I’m a dbsk fan, but having watched the drama halfway, I must say it’s bad. Bad storyline, bad acting from the leads (except for Lee Yoon Ji). The only decent thing is the OST.

I don’t know if I want to continue watching. Maybe I will just for LYJ.

  6. Go Ara is really popular in Japan too isn’t she?

  7. I for one am definitely watching for YoonJi ssi.

  8. it will do better in japan than it did in korea, methinks. practically any drama with a good looking guy becomes a hit in japan. look at all those johnny’s dramas that aren’t even that good but became a hit.
