After all the It Started With A Kiss talk earlier in the week, and since I am only blessed with Coffee House and Tsuki no Koibito for my cute guy rom com fix, I figured it was time to revisit some of the OLD manga -> Anime -> Drama combos of the past. Currently loving the rewatch of Marmalade Boy. Ken Zhu is as fantastic and tasty as the first time. The fast 30 minute episodes I had forgot about... loving it.

Anyone else for a K-version of Marmalade Boy? Obvious choice for casting is Kim Bum, but almost any hottie will do. Only requirement is charm by the bucket loads.

Maybe I'll watch Hana Kimi, or Peach Girl next. Choices Choices.

Missing PP, OML & PT, but CHouse is so much fun. Just finished all first 6 episodes and I've never laughed that much on a first episode and the 2nd.. 3rd... 4th. I know it's starting to get serious, but I know ther'll still be those LOL moments.

ep 20 did not disappoint; love the scene where the lovebirds r xchanging cheeky smiles/looks

just finished CS, love it. I know there are many many flaws in this drama. But the good acting of all actors (actresses) and the great chemistry between the two leads are enough to make me love this drama!

Sad that cinderella sisters finished but thank god we got out of the tunnel of unending angst. I think it finished well, not as well as it started though. I was dissapointed with it as a whole, it could have been so much more ;[

The posters and stills of birdy buddy that have been released... not what i was expecting at all and NOT in a good way. The plot is average and long seen before(too many times I fear) and one of the characters looks like he masacered a small zoo and superglued the fur onto his head >_< not a good look

I am watching Dongyi just to finish the storyline and also all the good dramas had ended. The story goes at a good pace, but I am not a fan of the leads. I find their acting superficial. Maybe I am not familiar with historical drama acting. The king overacts when he wants to be funny , consort hui-all she does is make her eyes bigger,and dongyi has the same expressions on her face.

I know this is going to sound lame but after watching the tragic ending of Queen Seon Duk, I've been unable to watch dramas. LOL. I did skim through episodes of Oh My Lady but mainly just watched for the main couple scenes--everything else bored me.

I feel like I need to re-watch Kim Sam Soon for the summer. I might get into Coffee House, it looks like a fun drama. Or Personal Taste.

I wonder what they do with the leftovers. I would happily help them "clean up" the food ...if they would like to mail it to me at the other side of the globe. Hm, but okay, this makes Baker Kim Tak-Gu much more appealing now. (See how easily persuaded I am? But who can resist dessert, especially a drama about baking?!? XD)

I saw him in Momo Love.( for as long as I could watch it) He was still hot, just not Marmalade Boy/Meteor Garden level. I don't know many actors that can maintain that kind of Good Gravy Heavens Replay every scene looks forever.

And as much as I looove kang ji hwan, him playing a high schooler would be not so good. Even the Taiwan version had him in college. Maybe the hot sexy teacher instead? You know the one everyone "likes".

I had the same reaction with Oh Ji Ho in Chuno..but I think with Kim Nam Gil..it is far worse. Now I am looking forward to the weekdays instead of the weekends..lol

^______^ Xiao Tian!! Ahhhh~ I like to see a version K of Marmalade Boy, AND Poor Prince Taro. Peach Girl is a little evil. I'm thinking of manga adaptations where eyes sparkle big time, so that will omit Peach Girl.

Surely, this weeks news of Itazura na Kiss version K excites my whole week. Coffee House kept it uplifting too. I still need to catch up on Cinderella's Sister. I like Kim Suro; how many get the same vibe? What is missing? Oh, more news of Zettai Kareshi version K needs to unveil.

I have SS501's comeback this wkend to look forward to, and Kim Suro. Swell week in the hot weather of So.Cal. Passing out e-ice cream to all dramabeans.
(Well, Lotte and Haitai ice creams are on sale this week at my local supermarket so I'm off, as well add Rainier cherries on my grocery list. Yum-yum.)

I just finished watch Chuno and Personal Taste. These two dramas just as good as everyone said. Everyone who haven't watched, please watch you won't regret it.

K-drama is the best! I did never watched drama that can make people fight like they dance like in Chuno. And personal taste, he, he, he just love Lee Min Ho, just beautiful him, and to everyone who search for lighthearted kind of drama, this is the one...

Hearing that Cinderella Sister are finally over, Horey!!! Now my turn to watch...

Right now i'm in the middle of watching Oh my lady, but it is not as much fun as i expected - I can't stand when the lead actor start to show off his six pack stomach, God I wish he is just as skinny as like JGS instead hee...and Chae Rim: Ahjumma again???, emm....

A K-version of Marmalade Boy would be fun. Actually it's kind of surprising that they haven't done it yet with the whole falling in love with my sibling plot line (a la Autumn in my Heart or Ireland). I think I only saw the first couple of episodes of Marmalade Boy before Is stumbled upon Mars (which was my all time favorite Twdrama until Black & White came out). But it was definitely cute.

So I haven't really been keeping up with Coffee House as much I heart KJH. I can't figure out why...because it is fun and quirky. I'm kind of wondering whether having the ambiguity of the OTP has put me in some sort of funk. Kind of like when you like one pairing better than the other but you have this feeling that the pairing you like won't end up together. On a side note am super excited about the Itazura no Kiss remake and Sungkyunkwan Scandal (Song Joong-ki and Yoo Ah-in in one drama!)

Anyways, started watching My Country Calls which is mindless fun though at times LSK's character has veered towards annoying and some of the acting is a bit rough (oh Horan, as much as I love you & Clazziquai...not sure if acting is your calling). But I think I'm partially watching because Hyun Woo is such a cutie :)

coffee house is an absolute delight.. as expected of kang ji hwan. i don't think i've ever watched a drama where the OTP wasn't obvious from the start; i do wish people wouldn't get so into their desired pairing that they start insulting the other actress though. people have an uncanny ability to bring hostility into the funnest and most trivial of matters.

so i have a question for our more experienced OTers: what exactly is this 'networking' thing all about? how are you supposed to present yourself? what do you talk to the big guns about if you don't really have an idea or something you want to pitch to them, you just want them to like you for later on when you have a game-plan. any tips?

Is anyone watching 이웃집 웬수 (Definitely Neighbors)? Weekend family dramas are so not my thing, but I'll occasionally watch the light, fluffy ones with Sohn Hyun Joo because he's so good in his roles.

Definitely Neighbors isn't that bad at all! I think it's a hoot and even better than The Sons of Sol Pharmacy House. Kim Mi Sook is so adorable in this! And I love the chemistry between Sohn Hyun Joo and Kim Sung Ryung. Anyone remember this pairing from 완벽한 이웃을 만나는 법 (How To Meet A Perfect Neighbor)? I am absolutely floored by Kim Sung Ryung's transformation from the shrill, man-chasing sister in Perfect Neighbor to the calm, cool headed woman in Definitely Neighbors. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite supporting actresses in dramas. And of course, Yoo Ho Sung and Shin Sung Rok are great, too!

I'm a fan of Lee Yo-won too (I know she isn't the most loved actress around but she generally always hits the right emotional notes).
Seeing Lee Bum-soo for the first time in Giant and honestly, now I see what all the hype is about, he really IS fantastic! Haha! (And this is only from one episode.)

Have you see Kyung-sook's Father? Since it's only a 4-episode drama I may just watch that first and get it out of the way, before sinking my teeth into SBDH. (EDIT: Urgh, not a nice metaphor to use for a medical drama, ugh!)

"thou shalt not insult any of the ORIGINAL f4" is something I can go along with, but um....(ducking behind steel reinforced wall) amazing goodlookingness is still a fine reason to watch a show no matter how mediocre the acting.

I do think LMH Kim Bum were quite good and I am liking Hyun Joong in the Gummy video and the latest SS501 Love Ya.

If you are looking for a drama to watch, please watch Prosecutor princess! I can't say enough how AWESOME this drama is! Park Shi Hoo is amazing and so is the female lead. Give it 3 episodes in. I promise you wont' disappoint! I'm watching it again, and I've never rewatched a drama!

totally agree. Prosecutor Princess is my favorite lately. Can someone tell me what other 16-20ish episode drama is good? Not into Coffee House, the male lead looks like Park Shi Hoo with the glass on but with the hot body..hhaha...

yeah i got that feeling too! well yeah i guess the generalopinion is that it could've been paced better(understatement of the decade) and to top it all off, that fizzy-less fizzled out-like ending sequence. after BOMBS BOMBS BOMBS, it was suddenly,"okaaaaay, that's it?" hehehe if you get what i mean. :) as far as haappy ending goes, FIIIINE. it was fine. ...but i really though CS woould be more than fine you know. it was so promising! argh! // rant over :D

Happy Friday all! It's almost 1PM here in the wonderful Midwest, and my friends are lame. They have left me hanging here alone at home... but thank God for K-Dramas and its devoted fans!

Let's get me started on talking about the ending of Cinderella's Sister. I watched it RAW without English subtitles, and the last scene with Ki-Hoon and Eun-Jo was like watching Oh My Lady between Siwon and Chae Rim, only without the tears. They're obviously two different genres and levels, but that's how it was for me. Two people confessing their love and then they kiss. One minute she's running away from him, the next he finally says the three little words, then bam!

Next: Bad Guy. OHMIGOD I am in love. I am only up to episode 3, however Guk Soon foreseeing Jae In's entire coffee-plan freaked me out! The guy is a real f-ing "G". 10 steps ahead of everyone and everything, like God. He's a beast.

I'm still suffering from Prosecutor Princess withdrawal and I dun thing this gonna go away any time soon, I rewatch the series 2 times already LOL, just luv the characters so much

I heard that Coffee House is a good drama, still consider watching it those mainly because I'm Coffee Prince bias and dun want any similar drama to take it place! btw I like CS too though I quitteded after 14 episode I still read recaps guess the last two ones were not bad just I expect so much from it and it cant satisfy yet

@ #31 what is - i think a lot of people had a different ending in their minds about cinderella's sister, however i think what they did was fitting from their own perspective that it should end with the sisters eun jo and hye sun because that's what the main storyline is drawn from..

While others avoid spoilers, I chase 'em religiously. Plan to watch CU once I skim all the recaps. Sometimes I bought stuff without any research and ended up wanting a refund for my money and my time i.e. Witch Amusement, Creating Destiny. Anyhow, I can minimize my risk through the recaps. Call me weird, but knowing the main plots do not diminish my watching experience. Thanks for feeding this particular quirkiness of mine.

Btw talking about the original F4 (Taiwanese version), I remember that I used to have their pictures around *blush*. It was also due to San Chai that I straightened my hair. Crazy times, only to be equaled to BOF. Due to my current age I restrained myself from plastering LMH pics to my organizer. There's certainly something about Hana Yori Dango & all the remakes.

@16 llama: Yes, I have the fast-forward-syndrom too sadly enough :( I have watched episodes 21 and 22 half while studying... I really hope Queen Inhyeon will be back! She is so nice, soon Sukjong will realize that he made a mistake, right!? Hui-bin was nice in the beginning too, but you see what power can do to people! :( Boo-hoo!
