I watched some of her interviews. Everything she says is articulate (in a second language too!), concise, and cogent. I, too, admire her.

I also just want to say that the rampant racism directed against Asians in the West is ignorant, reprehensible, and extremely worrying. I’m especially shocked by some of things I’m hearing from the country in which I live. Canadians, it seems, are forgetful of their history – forgetful of the Chinese Exclusion Acts, the internment of Japanese Canadians during WWII, etc. It’s disappointing and scary that Canadians, in a time of exigency, are once again turning against their fellow citizens and once more turning coloured folk into strangers in their own communities.

Thank you so much for sharing, @kiara! I enjoyed this very much. I loved what Kang Kyung-wha said about her style of leadership, which she learned from her father and her best bosses. At 09:30, I braced for the inevitable “How do you balance work and personal life” question that is NEVER asked of men. Her answer was brilliant because she answered it directly (My children are grown, my family is more focused on taking care of me now, the balance is 95% work, 5% family on weekends) and followed up brilliantly with the need for family leave and not diminishing women’s careers after they return from leave.
