Errand Boy Cat Post #2

My family decided to give Mama’s litter of kittens away (though @fatcat007 ‘s user name always reminds me of one of those kittens, named Fat Cat because his favorite spot to sleep was in the food bowl, which he had to empty first, for obvious, practical reasons).

But my older brother refused to part with the bright yellow tiger. He loved belly rubs and warmed everyone like our personal, furry sun. His name was Bob, the happiest, friendliest, most loving cat I have ever met.

Bob was a most filial son to Mama, from kittenhood to final separation he curled up next to her every night in a cat bed. He always came when you called his name (though you had to give him time to return from wherever and whoever in the neighborhood he was charming), and meowed away the sorrows of any of us children.

There was a hill behind our house, and Bob would go there with me to watch the sunset. I’ll always treasure those memories, the sun setting from beyond the trees with the usually talkative Bob warm and silent beside me.

If I had to pick an actor for my feline hyung, I think I would have to choose Go Kyung Pyo, the hyung in Reply 1988 with the sunshine smile.

A filial son, protective brother, non angsty, non dramatic, but there for you at every sunset.

Your name reminds me of the kitty ~ (we didn’t keep this kitten, and the story of Fat Cat was from over 25 years ago) (Bob passed ten years ago himself, he and Fat Cat were born to my family before me)

Watching the sunset with him was one of the most peaceful things in my life…
