A List Of Really Popular KDramas You Would Expect Sic to Have Seen But She Hasn’t:
1) Goblin
2) My Ajusshi
3) Misaeng
4) Cheese In The Trap
5) Circle
6) Forest of Secrets
7) Chicago Typewriter
8) Chief Kim
9) Oh Hae Young Again
…
and lots more lol
Lol. I only remember finishing Goblin out of this list. The others I might have started, or haven’t or I forgot I watched it or I even forgot it existed ๐คฃ.
Thanks, somehow you make me feel less guilty for not finishing or watching some of these dramas. I’m not interested to watch Misaeng, CITT, Chief Kim and OHY Again, didn’t finish Ahjussi (and probably never will).
Misaeng! Forest of Secrets! Those are in my Top 3 along with Signal. Chicago Typewriter is a very good series, imo. I had so much fun watching Oh Hae Young Again.
I need to find a way to persuade you to at least watch My Ajusshi, Forest of Secrets, and Chicago Typewriter.
P.s. Oh Hae-young is also good in all its dysfunctional relationship glory
FOS is pretty high on my list anyway. Chicago Typewriter I’ve been told I need to watch for some reason I’ve just forgotten.
… My Ahjussi my take a bit more persuading to be honest. Actually don’t try and persuade me at all: that’ll just make me dig my toes in more lol.
My Ahjussi my take a bit more persuading to be honest. Actually donโt try and persuade me at all: thatโll just make me dig my toes in more
Heh. Now I’m only going to hope that someday you’ll stumble onto some clips from that drama or something that will pique your curiosity enough to try it.
Tag me if you decided to watch any of those 9 dramas from your list. It would be fun to read your commentary or shitpost since those are the dramas I really enjoyed watching (well, except for Goblin).
Can’t believe this myself, but I watched all on your list here. I highly recommend My Ajusshi, Forest of Secrets, Misaeng and Chicago Typewriter.
Then again, maybe I’m not as critical as others – I just like to be entertained and feel stuff.
feeeeeellllll stufffffff!!!!! ya knowwhatI’mtalkingabout?
jk – that was kinda stupid – feel stuff but didn’t know what else to write. sometimes the only way I’m able to cry is to watch something emotional and sad.
I knew what you meant @sicarius – was just giving you a hard time.
Honestly though, after I wrote that, it felt lacking – but I didn’t know what else to say.
Some shows just move me so powerfully and make me think and feel sad (Mr Sunshine) or commiserate (Misaeng) with their situation.
Right now I’m feeling like I’m living Misaeng at my job as a contract worker (oh wait we are called ‘contingent workers’).
You’re not so different. I have dropped 5, 6, 7 and never even tried 8 besides a few other very popular choices.
I’d say 1, 2, 3, 4 and 9 all have some very good things and some terrible, don’t expect much and you might like them, though I suspect their problems will make you a bit mad kkk especially Goblin.
Uh that contributes. But no, I was just never interested in it from the beginning, I don’t like the writer, I don’t care for the story, I know the ending, and I love Yoo In A but she’s not enough for me to watch a whole drama for if she’s not lead, and the more I read about it, who likes it, who doesn’t, and why, the less interested in it I get.
Plus I kinda just like saying I missed the Goblin train lol.
I can only vouch for two on the list. First – Forest of Secrets is what brought me back into Kdramaland 3 years ago. Definitely recommended! The entire cast is freakin’ amazing.
Second – Chief Kim! Admittedly, it took me a couple of tries to get into it because Nam Goongmin can be a little bit, uhm, much. But once Junho’s character is introduced and the drama has a ~sparkling~ rivalry between a chocolate-loving villain and a crazed accountant, I was sold.
I’m in the same boat. Of the ones on your list, I’ve only seen Goblin and Circle. I thought Goblin was okay by the end. I LOVED Circle- it’s the only sci-fi/ thriller I’ve seen so far.
