Obviously, I am not the only one who does not get the appeal of KHJ. He is like the pictures you put an a wall because they go with your color scheme, all surface and no depth. How is he going to stand-up to whatever LJJ does on screen, the imbalance is really to great and may be painful to watch. Who did this casting, because somebody is an idiot.

Sometimes I feel sorry for other actors who can actually act. But can't get a major role in a drama because some the meaty role goes to an idol who can't act to save his/her life.

Kim Hyun Joong can not only pull in the younger audience but he can pull me in. I turn 47 tomorrow and he can rock my world any day of the week. My sister makes fun of me for watching KDramas all the time but I showed her KHJ and even she loves him. She's a year older than me. lol

I am superficial to the core so I am just going to say this, I don't care whether Kim Hyun Joong is a crappy actor or not, he's hot. I did not like BOF because of the script or acting (both shitty to the max), I liked it because I got to look at Kim Hyun Joong for 24 episodes. He can do whatever he wants and I will still watch it regardless as long as he looks good. That being said, if he does confirm this, I will definitely be tuning in to watch it. I am a big fan of his looks, charisma, and personality (he's unique).

THERE IS A BOOK WITH THE TITLE TALENTS ARE OVERRATED -WHICH POINT TO ONE IMPORTANT FACTOR THAT PRODUCE TOP NOTCH PERFORMERS -IT IS DELIBERATE PRACTICE. WE DON'T SEE, WE DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH THEY TRAIN , BEFORE THEY GET THE RECOGNITION AND WIN THOSE AWARDS.

SOME HERE SAY KHJ IS GOOD ON THE MUSICAL STAGE AS PER BREAKDOWN AND LUCKY AND SHOULD JUST STICK TO IT. BUT REMEMBER KHJ HAD HIS OWN CONCEPT AND IDEAS AND OWN WAY OF EXECUTION. DRAMAS HAVE DIRECTORS.

Oh, honestly. Some comments on this post are immature. Take for example the immediate classification that Sooyoung is going to be an awful idol actress. She actually majored in acting before becoming an idol, and she worked hard for her audition in Hello, Schoolgirl, as her favourite author wrote it. Sooyoung is a darling and I'm going to look out for her-- I advise everyone TO CALM YOUR TITS. Just because she's an idol does not mean she is shit.

I don't know who's Lee Jung Jae, so I read his profile, he's 38yrs old so he must be a veteran actor. I don't know this actor's history too but I'm very sure he was not as good when he started way back 1994.
This guy knows he needs Kim Hyun Joong otherwise he won't agree to pair up with him in the first place. So to those people who are harsh better stop, because no matter how you badmouth on KHJ, he will be on this drama.

I agree that Kim Hyun-joong isn't the best choice as an idol/actor for this role --- I think there are better i/a than him. BUT I really don't object to him being cast in this drama either. Though I had my eyes on LMH, not him in BOF (and thought that Oguri Shun did the best job as Rui in the Jap ver) he was okay and not as irritating as Geum Jandi. I also liked him in Playful Kiss (it helped that Jung So-min was the lead actress). Also, I'm not a fan of SS501 but I like his 4D variety persona next to Heechul. So I don't have a problem with him being cast here. As expected, some of the comments here are extremely off (on both sides of the argument).

Anyway, about Sooyoung: she's one of my fave members in SNSD because I've seen her in some variety shows and she's not dull as some of the members are. Although I don't think she's also the best choice for this drama, I'm willing to give her a chance. I just hope she's better than her fellow member. *cough*yoona*cough*

I just hope the producer, writer, & director knows what they're doing. Leave the heavy dramatic acting scenes to LJJ and the cutesy/happy/funny scenes to KHJ and SY, then it'll be fine.

I have been reading some of these comments and you guys have me LMAO. I love KHJ but I agree his acting needs improvement. I didn't think his acting in BOF was that bad. I didn't like PK though.

PK to me was not suited for him. He can project sexiness and sex appeal but when it comes to intimacy he is uncomfortable and it projects on screen. Plus compared to the Taiwanese version, those actors had chemistry and well, have y'all since their intimate scenes? they wouldn't been able to air those on korean tv.

Plus I think there is a difference when someone is doing something they want vs the management made me do it. when he's into something he wants to do , you can tell he's lovin it. I agree he needs to stay away from teenie romance dramas and go adult. I would love to see him play a villain. It seems like keywest is giving him a bit more freedom in his career which is what he needs.
