Jung So-min offered role of Kim Woo-bin’s girlfriend

Jung So-min (Big Man, Can We Marry) is about to make her film debut, according to reports that say she is considering taking the role of Kim Woo-bin’s (Heirs) girlfriend in the upcoming coming-of-age movie Twenty, which co-stars Kang Haneul (Heirs, Angel Eyes) and Junho (Cold Eyes). I say, want’s to consider? Doooo eeeet.
Twenty follows the story of three friends, and will depict that wonderful and terrible period of turbulence for young adults on the cusp of growing up. The emotions will be full of youthful fervor, based on the description of this age as “a time when anything can happen, when anyone can love, and when possibilities are unlimited.” The friendships will both “shine brightly” and be childish at times, which feels like the right way to describe that period of life. (Loved it, would never relive it.)
Kim Woo-bin plays the guy who only cares about girls, and although Jung So-min’s character is described as his girlfriend, she’s known all three guys since their school days, when all three had been interested in her. Junho will be the hard-working dreamer who wants to be a manhwa artist and studies to get into university, while Kang Haneul again plays the guy who has it all.
With Jung So-min currently acting in the Monday-Tuesday drama Big Man, she’ll have to do some schedule finagling if she is to take on Twenty, though I’d say it’s worth it—who wouldn’t want to see her and Kim Woo-bin in a screen romance?

Nice! I thought I was the only one reminded of YEH. Maybe that's why I like her even though I've just met her in Big, wish she was the lead for the main guy but instead we get the same kind of romance on the OTP.

I agree, what's there to think about...she should sign. Just make her schedule work. I like her since Playful Kiss and I think this would be a great opportunity for her. Go for it!

Me too! I liked her since Playful Kiss. Quite amazing how she made the character likeable despite it being written that way.....And she is so so lucky, she has such great co-stars and great choice of script too! Can We Get Married was an interesting story...focusing on the process leading to marriage rather than the getting to know each other/dating plot like usual.

I agree. Oh how I wish Kim Ji-Hyeok and Kang Jin-Ah were the OTP in Big Man because whenever Kang Ji-Hwan and Jung So-Min appear on screen together they just ooze chemistry.

I love this line up… esp. Junho and Kang Ha Neul, but I have to say this (and I mean I LOVE Kang Ha Neul. *Seriously.*)

Her joining the three guys in the movie is exciting enough.
Why do I get the feeling that her character would go weary of Woo-bin's girl-chasing ways and eventually realizes that it's not him that she loves, but one of the other two ?

You have 3 guys who signed up and the script must be worth it. Unless her role is written badly which actress would reject this?

Her new agency is none other than SM Entertainment.
I was worried that they'd sideline her at first in favour of their other actresses like Go Ara and Lee Yeon-hee who've been with them for longer and get more lead roles, but at least they're getting her more work. I hope they realise her full potential as leading lady material, and soon - she already is, but I don't want her to go back to exclusively supporting roles.

Jung Somin's part of SM C&C. It's a branch of SM, yet it's apparently still an independent unit. I think the only actors under the main SME are Kim Minjong, Go Ara, and Lee Yeonhee.
But yes, she deserves all the lead roles she can get. :)

As long as she can manage the schedule part of things and doesn't screw her drama over by pulling a Jin Se-yeon, I am all for this, she's easily one of the most talented actresses in her age group and would look great with Woobin.

Yes! She was great in those 3 minutes, haha. Maybe she got so used to sassing Lee Min Sook in CWGM that it easily transitioning into her Miss Korea cameo XD

Yeah, so far all of the scenes with Jung So-Min and Kang Ji-Hwan radiate chemistry in Big Man. Even though her time on screen has been limited, one can just imagine what we've missed out on with her cast as just the 2nd lead.

So, if Kim Woo Bin is girl crazy in the drama, how does he manage to hold a girlfriend? Can't wait to see this movie! I really hope that she accepts.
Also, am I the only one itching to see her act with Joo Won and Kim Soo Hyun? I know she needs to become more well known before it happens, but damn, I'm sure that chemistry would burn a hole through my screen.

jung soo min...she is really cute..everyone is saying palyfull kiss is a big hit only because of kim hyun joong..but its not true...kim hyun joong is so attractive..but only for looks we can see that only one's...but we all saw it multiple times only because of the heroine...im an Indian and my friends relatives everyone like her soo much and we always google for her dramas's .don't know why everyone say she is not beautiful..we cant even understand these comments...we cant't understand how koreans calculate beauty..park shin hye is not that a beauty her face features are not that good but everyone says that she is a goddess..ofcourse i dnt know how koreans see the bauty..sorry
