[Drama chat] Your fastest drama binge

With such a fast-paced and non-stop airing schedule, it’s often hard to go back and watch dramas you missed — whether they’re from last month, last year, or a decade ago. Even so, there’s nothing quite like having an entire drama right at your fingertips. You can cancel your plans and watch it straight through, or you know, sleep two hours when you should be sleeping eight. All’s fair in dramaland.

My fastest binge to date is probably Happiness, which I finished in maybe 4 or 5 days? But, it’s only 12 episodes, and I was sick, so that’s my excuse. Definitely had nothing to do with the well-plotted story or the dreamiest hero I’ve seen in a while. Nope.

What’s your fastest drama binge to date? What did you watch, and how long (or, uh, not long) did it take?

I am seriously a(n) (unhealthy) binger. I have kids so I know I am not supposed to do that (hence the word "unhealthy"), but once a show has caught my attention, I binge-watch it at night and usually sleep only a couple of hours. My most recent binge-watch, also one of the fastest (if not the fastest) binge-watches, was My Liberation Notes. What a show!!

Currently I have been in a drama slump. Maybe because during the two years of the pandemic, I watched too many shows and have become too picky now. I finished some shows, dropped some, fastforwarded a lot... but no show I watched recently made me want to rewatch it, until My Liberation Notes. It resonated with me at so many levels!!

As a binger, I usually wait until all episodes of a show are on Netflix or Viki to begin watching, that's why I am always late for discussions under recap sections on dramabeans 😅

Technically, Mei-chan no Shitsuji was my first binge-watch. It was I think my 3rd Asian drama ever. I watched 3 eps the evening before Thanksgiving Day, was laughing so much my daughter came to see what was going one. She made me start over at the beginning and we stayed up until 2 am watching the entire thing.

For Kdramas, BOF was my 2nd real binge-watch. I couldn't stop. Finished it in 2 days because I started it on a Friday, stayed up all night, and finished it that Saturday. Then crashed LOL.

I prefer to wait until a drama has finished airing, then I'll download it and watch it on a daily basis until I finish it. I rarely watch more than 4 eps a day, although I did binge You Are My Glory all day one Saturday :)

I think the fastest binge was the week (well, in fact less than five days) I watched My Holo Love and Do do sol sol la la sol. One after the other without time between them.
A rollercoaster of feelings those five days.

Another two k-dramas which made me lose sleep hours were Flower Boy Next Door and Live Up to your name.

The Glory season 2! 😂😂😂

The anticipation was killing me. I watched it the day after it was released because I mixed up the release date. It was so worth it, best 8 hours of drama watching.

Another two dramas I binged were Happiness (3days) and Stranger Season 1 (2 days - was on break from University and had assignments as tall as me but that didn't stop me) 😅😅

I have deleted my comment because I have just noticed that I had already written in this chat saying the same XD

But I take the opportunity to add other dramas I watched very fast: Prison Playbook and At a distance, spring is green.
