Stepping back into summer with Seolhyun and Im Shi-wan in I Don’t Feel Like Doing Anything

We’re in for a lazy, hazy summer in ENA’s upcoming I Don’t Feel Like Doing Anything, but the promo team has been busy this week, dropping stills from the first script reading as well as new character posters and a video teaser.

Running away from the hustle and bustle of the city, our heroine Lee Yeo-reum – played by Seolhyun (The Killer’s Shopping List) – decides to go on strike against her own life and spend some time winding down in the countryside where she can finally get some rest from work. Here, she meets the shy librarian Ahn Dae-beom – played by Im Shi-wan (Tracer) – who is going through his own existential journey, questioning life and self.

In the village, we also find Shin Eun-soo (A Model Family) playing the prickly high schooler Kim Bom as well as Bang Jae-min’s (Dear X Who Doesn’t Love Me) Heo Jae-hoon, a fellow student who has a cute crush on Bom.

In the short new teaser, we get a glimpse of our main quartet (and puppy!). Each in their own ways, our four leads take time to enjoy the quiet summer day by napping, reading, or just basking in the warm breeze. But they all share the sentiment of our drama’s title: I Don’t Feel Like Doing Anything.

Written and directed by Lee Yoon-jung (The Lies Within, Coffee Prince) and Hong Moon-pyo, I Don’t Feel Like Doing Anything premieres this November in ENA’s Friday-Saturday slot, following Gaus Electronics.

Yesss! I cannot wait for this to fill the 'Once Upon a Small Town' shaped hole in my heart! And that pupper is adorable! <3

I'm really excited to watch it.

I like the casting, the plot and the PD. And there is a puppy!

Shin Eun-soo's love story in DDSSLS was the best part of the drama :p I'm happy to see her again.

I had no idea this drama existed. I like the director and every show with her will have Tearliner's awesome Osts. But I went ahead and read the synopsis and it seems like the next Weather is fine, covered in summer breeze and pretty smiles. Well, I'm up for it even if this teaser is kind of deceiving.

The more I hear about this the more I am looking forward to adding it to the watchlist. I have just finished Twelve nights which is a slow paced - Would you like a cup of coffee style drama so maybe this can be the replacement for that and the coming to an end too soon Seasons of Blossom.

I really enjoyed Twelve Nights. It had a certain airy, mystical feel that I can't describe very well. At least the first 10 or 11ish episodes did (it has been 4 years since I watched it). I think Lost (Human Disqualification) has some of those same qualities- but a different story.

I started Human disqualification but its quite dark with power games bullying and poverty and I think it’s about an affair so all of the above meant I didn't make it past the first episode.

This looks like a summer version of When the Weather is Fine, and I'm all for it. I'm really loving what ENA is putting out.

Here is hoping that it is as great As I'LL FIND YOU WHEN THE WEATHER IS FINE. But that is a very high bar. But even if it is not, it definitely looks like a show I want to watch.

So it's Little Forest but a DRAMA?? With a LIBRARIAN HERO?

If this isn't good, I'll die.

I am all in. I am currently watching Siwan give another terrific performance in TRACER (Viki US) having completed 9 of 16 episodes and after dealing with so much evil he deserves a quiet respite. Nice (looking also) cast.

I just finished watching Tracer! It’s very good, a well done revenge plot with great characters. I also found the NTS setting interesting (not lawyers!). Although Im Si-Wan’s plum lipstick is very distracting. I kept thinking, that’s an awful color, and then the next thought was how luscious they looked. As to the point of ISW about the beloved Bureau Five, even bad attention can work for your good. I don’t think I’ve ever looked at a ML ‘s lips so much.

Lol. What I have notice in this drama is his voice. This is only my third Siwan drama with MISAENG and RUN ON being the other two. My opinion of course, but to me he speaks (acts) with a melodic monotone if that makes sense. It works. He can be very emotional in an uptight way. In TRACER however, he has raised his voice even yelled which I have found refreshing.

Thanks @abalyn! After your plum lipstick comment, that’s all I noticed for the next couple of TRACER episodes.
Maybe that is one reason there has been no romantic angle (so far into eps. 6, S2). How could Siwan smooch without making a mess with that much stuff on his lips.

Hahahaha. Sorry. I also blame whoever talked abt lipstick in the unpopular opinions post, I hadn’t really been looking until then.
I think the especially thick lipstick might be a new trend. Bts pictures coming out on Insta right now are also that way.

Actually, Siwan has naturally red lips (and ears too) that the Misaeng director had to use CGI to tone the color down.

I do notice, however, that his makeup artist uses too much lipgloss on him. XD

I wonder how the PD did for this drama.

I remember that Seolhyun had to take a break for a kissing scene with Yang Se-Jong because her ears were too red 😂

Thanks @kurama for letting me go down memory lane. I am also looking forward to both YSJ and WDH’s post military dramas.

Thanks @keistydean, Kallen. Interesting. There is more to the story. What’s easier for a production? Use lip gloss or handle it with CGI? Probably lip gloss. (Maybe leave it out for smooching scenes lol.)

Reminded me of his kissing scene with Shin Sekyung. Jeezus, he literally ate her like ramyeon.

Surprised me for a second why Im Si-Wan has another drama so soon, and why this.

After seeing the director's name, ah it makes a whole lot of sense. Will be looking forward to watching the drama.

Adorable puppy. We will have to watch.

Another nice sojourn in the county side. Maybe ONCE UPON A SMALL TOWN started a trend. I heartily approve of that.

I didn't like at all Si Wan's character (and the way he dressed) in Run On. I hope his character in this new series makes me forget the other :)
Well, in fact I'm watching Misaeng these days and yesterday I watched Emergency Declaration movie too. It's not on purpose, but I'm watching Im Si Wan a lot lately.

ooooh ! I'm curious to see how they will transcribe the introspective and kind of melancholic manwha (who struck a special cord within me). So many interesting stripes with a minimalist drawing and poetic lines to turn into animated scenes ...

This looks interesting. I just hope I can find a good platform to watch this. How I wish Netflix had every single one of Kdramas.

Sadly, Viki isn’t a well known platform here, so there are very few Kdramas available in my region. :(
