The drama deals with death and funerals so if that's not your bag, this isn't the show for you. Especially since there are some deaths that are just total punches to the gut. I don't know about other people but for me, I cried many a times during this series' run yet I still looked forward to the following week.

Aside from that, I personally enjoyed this drama. There's such beautiful relationships between the characters. Would this be considered a "healing drama"? Because the characters definitely had some scars and trauma that they had to work through and they were able to do that due to the relationships they developed.

Everything and everyone is connected and I think that gives the show some rewatch value because you can appreciate or look for foreshadowing.

It's a complete story so no worries about sequel hooks or unanswered questions (well maybe one or two unanswered questions but they weren't important to me so I don't know how others would feel about it).
I think there are times when people will be frustrated or annoyed with a character or their choices but I (personally) didn't find it enough of a nuisance that it affected the quality or appeal of the show.

I liked the chemistry of the cast to the point that I hope they can act together in other projects again someday.

People who are watching the show after its run are lucky they didn't have to deal with the interruptions in airings. Oh, how that killed some of the momentum for me but still, I looked forward to it when it aired.

You said it best! It's a healing drama. There's plenty of sadness in every episode and I really liked the ending and how they concluded the series. A very good explanation was given for the FL having her special abilities. A good drama if you are okay with crying a few times.

As disappointed as I was with the direction the drama took towards the end, I don't think it deserves the (kimchi) slap of 4.5/10. In fact, if you watch with less of a critical eye and decide going in that it's going to do kdrama-y things that a casual viewer would likely take in stride, then you may find this to be a very enjoyable watch.

I loved it from about the second episode up until the 13th. It felt fresh, well written, confident in the story it was telling, and full of warm humor. There are elements of tragedy throughout, so looking back, I was probably naive to expect that the show wouldn't have a darker climax. But the thing that's so appealing for so long is that although the show is tackling heavy material, it never feels heavy. Instead, it takes a more loving, gentle, and nuanced look at death and loss in a way that feels healing and calming.

That changes in episodes 13-15 as the writing starts to feel more gimmicky.

As a romance, this show works more often than it doesn't because the leads are very appealing together, and share one very memorable series of kisses. I would also say that this is my favorite Hyeri role and performance since Reply1988 (I'm someone who thinks she was great in that, too). And Jun lives up to his reputation as being an Idol with innate acting talent. The supporting characters are also well cast.

Ultimately, I'd say that this is a drama that I wouldn't warn others off of, especially if they are casual viewers of kdramas, and not apt to visit dramabeans or other sites to discuss them. I can imagine the me of several years ago (who never bothered discussing kdramas with anyone other than my mom) would have been way less disappointed in this one than the me of today.

Yes to everything in this review. Up until episode 13 (when the writer was abducted by aliens), I would have easily rated this show an 8 or a 9, so a final rating in the 4's range feels like it's been drastically penalized for missteps in the last few episodes. There were moments in this show that were truly delightful in a "I can't stop smiling at the screen" kind of way. And there were moments in the show that were completely heart-wrenching and I cried my eyes out, but felt better for it afterward. Even some of the controversial decisions in the last episode were so emotionally effective, I felt satisfied with the way things played out.

In the end, I would still say this was a good drama -- definitely better than average. At its best, it was thoughtful and funny and heartfelt and real. It could have so easily been great. SO. EASILY. Which is why I think people are reacting so strongly in their disappointment. For what it's worth, 7/10 from me.
