Reasons to watch: With a promo game that’s been 10/10, one can only expect the very best from Lovely Runner. With Kim Hye-yoon back on our screens in a role that seems made for her (i.e., adorable, desperate, devoted fangirl), what more can you ask for than a time-slip rom-com where said fangirl goes back to her high school days and gets a chance to save her beloved. That beloved is none other than the idol played by Byun Woo-seok, and really, this is everything I need to know to get me to watch. But to top it off, the writer from True Beauty is responsible for our script, so I am pretty confident the drama will be self-aware enough to be a blast — rather than a self-serious slog. (Bonus reason to watch: the epic height difference.)
TL;DR: Kim Hye-yoon is in her fangirl era and has to save my her idol Byun Woo-seok

What to do?
tvN’s LOVELY RUNNER will be my fourth kdrama that I am live watching all squeezed in from Saturday-Tuesday: QOT, HIDE, THE MIDNIGHT STUDIO and now LOVELY RUNNER.
I can’t recall the last time I had 4 going simultaneously. I am enjoying all three so far with QOT and TMS probably going on my list for favorites of the year along already with LIKE FLOWERS IN SAND and KNIGHT FLOWER. For me 2024 is starting off as the best kdrama vintage year in years.

If you are located in the South East Asia region streamer VIU is releasing it but it is a next day 12pm release. Which is so odd as I am expecting my kdramas availability of the same night as in Korea.
