Okay, I like Vincenzo. It’s fun and wacky! Ok Taecyeon can’t act for his life (though it pains my heart to say) and I just don’t see a plausible loveline between Cha-young and Vincenzo (side note: if they were going to use an Italian, why not go for a more reasonable name? Vincenzo is so ugh.). That said, SJK is great, the comic timing in this show is working for me, the side characters are fun, and there’s enough emotional heft for me to feel like the show isn’t stuck in one emotional gear. Is it the best thing I’ve watched? Not so far. But I’m gonna stick with it.

    WHAT are you saying?
ML with mom and dad issues and a FL who was brought up in a house full of love..

the calm and composed ML and the crazy, shouting, korean candy (who does wrong but will be forever good vs ML stepping out of line itsy bitsy warranting the wrath of drama world)…

if this is not made for each other in kdrama heaven , then i don’t know what is 😛

THANK GOODNESS for no love line!!! I was dreading that when I watched ep1. I am yet to catch up with ep2, but this was the only one of the 3 premieres I watched that seemed remotely entertaining!

Well, to be clear, when I said I don’t see a plausible love line, I meant something more along the lines of, “If the give me a romance between these two, I’m going cry.” LOL. I think there will be a romance though, tbh, based on the ending of episode 2.

Oh no. Darn it. Some shows are best without romances. When will kdramas get that.

Or give us a romance with a side character, i.e. relatively insignificant overall, rather than between leads if there has to be a romance.

But this writer is great with no love line or just the merest hint of it.

Well, I hate to say it, but I read somewhere (some wiki, I don’t know which one) that ML falls in love with FL…

Taec still can’t act? Damn, what a waste of drama character. I have been avoiding his dramas but he had starred in several dramas with genres that I could not miss.

What’s wrong with Vincenzo as a name, though? 👀

I just think it’s not a good name? I don’t know. It certainly doesn’t fit SJK.

The name is quite a mouthful. I wonder how he came up with it.

        Ah! Got it! ^^

Though it would be kinda hard for any Italian name to really fit SJK, after all ahah!

I’d prefer Vinny or Vin but it’s hilarious when Koreans try to pronounce Vincenzo.
I think it’s working as intended.

I think this might be part of the problem. Whenever I hear other Korean characters pronounce his name, I can’t decide whether I want to collapse into giggles or retch.

It’s not so common in Italy nowadays. It’s considered out of fashion and too “heavy”.

Same happens in Spanish, you barely would hear a boy younger than 40 being called Vicente / Vincenzo.

Mmh..It never sounded weird to me 👀
What names do you think would have fit better?
(Not Luca, that is taken already, these days xD)

..I don’t know, I feel like Vincenzo is good considering they are using it as a title for the drama too, it’s indeed more unique than others, but that works, in this case 🤔

To each their own, though ahaha! It’s just personal taste after all ^^

Good question. I don’t know what name would’ve been a better fit.

Taec looks so cute that I can look past the weak acting

I honestly think it would be best if this show will not have a loveline. Vincenzo has enough issues to deal like his mom and criminal underworld kind.

Taec can’t act, but as long as I can laugh with him I’m ok.
If he’s evil CEO I hope he goes for a comedic evil CEO (although hockey sticks and all that stuff was a bit scary).
It also hurts me to say he’s such a terrible actor…

I’ve only seen Taec in Wonderful Days as the very young father of adorable twins – I thought he did okay.

I tried to watch The Game Towards Zero, but it was a big mess, and his poor acting didn’t help.
In Save Me, he’s ok, but probably because he got less screen time and the drama is totally stolen by Seo YeaJi and Woo DoHwan.
