I am not a BTS fan but I told myself I would listen to 20 mins (the length of GOT7s album) since she listened to GOT7s album for me. I liked two songs: N.O and I Need You.
I’m with you, Isa. I just don’t like a lot of their songs. I don’t know why I feel that their music is “over-produced” meaning I lose a lot of the authenticity of it when I hear it. I like simplicity, I like raw-ness, I like overwhelming emotional pulls of lyrics.
I feel that. That’s why I love Saltnpaper so much. And why I love Vromance and Melomance so much. Got7 is my go to pop boys but their ballads have just that quality. I just don’t like them. And that’s fine. The world may want you to think BTS is the only kpop group out there but there’s really a million of them!
I’ll think about it and get back to you. I love their entire new album. But GOT7 are my pop kpop band. I appreciate everything they do. But I’ll think about their ballads and get back to you!

I like their old songs. According to what you’re saying I think maybe you would like the solo songs from their album “wings”. You could try “First love”, “Reflection” or “Stigma”.

Eh it’s ok. I’m fine being the lone BTS hold out in any group! It’s like Star Wars now. No, I haven’t seen it. No, I’m not gonna see it! And that’s all there is to it!
Hahaha I just feel that different people feel the emotional pull of different words, thoughts and ideas. For me, it was BTS that did it 😀 For others, it’s GOT7, indie, hymns or something else altogether.
I prefer a lot of their older songs, I think right now their music is targeted to a trendy audience. I’m happy for their success but I’m missing the lyrics that had a story? I like the songs, I need you and Save me etc
