Okay, @attiton I’m going to expose myself by naming a few “beloved classics” drama that I plan to not watch (in order of the 2022 beanies popularity):

3
52

    My Ahjussi
    Misaeng
    Coffee Prince
    Goblin
    Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
    My love from the star
    W: Two Worlds
Be Melodramatic (Melo Is My Nature)
Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim * (Dr. Romantic *)
and anything older than 2014 has lower probability, because of societal evolution (and technical access to video of sufficient quality).
It’s either the theme that do not interest me, or some actor(s) that I do not appreciate.

Wow. I wrote up like 1000 words of response and then lost it @darwi. Give me a bit and I’ll respond, but I have to get un-upset first 🙂

In the meantime, one of the things I’ll be asking for is the location of your “dataset” containing the list of the “beloved classics” in order of the 2022 Beanies Popularity. If there’s a way for me to see that too, I’d be more than happy to list all of my “I never plan watch these favorites” as well!!!

Happy to see this spreadsheet get some use!! I have to ask, though — why choose the 2022 favorites list rather than the 2023 list? There’s nothing wrong with that, but it feels like a strangely intentional choice. Makes me wonder your thoughts on the few newer faves — Call it Love, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Alchemy of Souls.

Also, in honor of the brilliance of this post idea, I’ll include my own list of classics that I won’t watch:
Be Melodramatic: Not for any malice — it just never felt that compelling, and there’s so many other dramas that do.
Kill Me, Heal Me: I’m scared of a 2015 k drama taking on mental health. I know it’s supposed to do it well, but I just don’t want to be burned.
Queen In-hyun’s Man: I tried on this one, and I didn’t get the thrill.
Six Flying Dragons: I’m just not much of a sageuk fan, and a 50-episode sageuk is far too intimidating.

          2
          1

I should have taken the overall cross-year popularity… Maybe I opened the spreadsheet on the 2022 tab, or maybe I feel that 2017-list would miss some dramas and 2023-list would not have more classics than 2022-list.

Regarding the newer faves… well they are not classics. They may become classics, and these three probably will, but at the moment they do not qualify. Since you ask, I’m flatted and cannot resist exposing my dramas-thoughts.
Alchemy is currently at the 5th place on my dramas ranking list. I’m totally besotted with Jang Uk, and even if I missed Mu Deok and her the witty snotty rantings, I drank all the fan service of the storytelling. For now, I’m setting the flaws aside. Later I will input in the notes the insidious misogyny of this classic coming of age story.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo has not charmed me as much as the general public. I do not personally know an autistic person, so I’m not qualified to judge the veracity of the portrayal. I find it certainly significantly romanced, it’s a drama not a documentary. The second roles are underdeveloped. The redemption of the “villain” colleague was uncalled for, and enforce a rose-coloured glasses view that I’m not sharing.
Call it love does not have a story that interest me. Or maybe it should interest me ? “Woman falls for man she wants to take revenge from” seems like an enemies-to-lovers, and I appreciate this pattern. But if he is unaware, they will not bicker… I cannot say precisely why “revenge” does not draw me in. What I can say with no ambiguity is that I am extremely weary of Lee Sung Kyung. She has a specialty of hysteric or immature characters. She was okay in Shooting stars, nonetheless the leads were not behaving like adults, and reviews says that she act in moderation in Call it love but nothing compels me in this drama.

I was not interested in Kill me, heal me at first. And the extracts that I saw (“Oppa!”) had more a nonplussed effect on me. I had only seen Park So Joon in What is wrong with secretary Kim and Fight for my way, and did not know the others. Then I watched The devil judge. Ji Sung fascinated and mesmerized me. The next drama I started was KMHM.
            I’m relatively neutral towards
Queen In-hyun’s Man, though I suspect that Yoo In Na would not capture my attention either. I dropped Touch your heart once the couple was formed, feeling the rest would only be some repetitions. Now that you made me think about it, the probability of this drama has decreased. I might see it, in ten years.
Six Flying Dragons intrigues me. The history. The cast. The good reviews. The number of episodes is also deterring. I like sageuks because they take me far from my reality, but when there is too much scheming by ministers in red it’s tedious.

In fact there is much more in the spreadsheet : several rankings with the number of citations for each drama, several ways to calculate the popularity…

OK. Take two!!! My heavens it is frustrating to lose so much writing. It wasn’t even the site’s fault. It was my own stupid fault.

Anyway, I hope that you don’t feel too exposed @darwi. My curiosity definitely isn’t worth any discomfort. Also, trust you to have such a data-driven approach to this!!! I hold you in the highest regard for your attention to such matters. As I noted in my comment above, I will be more than happy to make a full listing of the classic shows that I, too, never plan to watch if there’s a place that I can see the dataset from which you drew your own list. Even if not, I’ll think of a few as I type this (again!!! Grrr) and add them to the end.

Here was what I was thinking: How about I simply respond to your list below and see how we compare? You can then do the same for my list (the short one I’ll put here or any longer one I can create from the whole dataset later).

Oh, right, I had also made one other promise in my original reply. I will not be trying to sway you to watch any of these.

      My Ahjussi
It took me almost a year (or a little more) to work up the courage to watch this drama. I could tell that I was likely to love it with a scary intensity, but that I would be emotionally decimated by watching. I was right on both accounts. I wrote a whole Fan Wall post about it last week, even.
      Misaeng
After Run On I thought I’d watch anything whatsoever with Im Si-wan in it, but then it turned out I never did. Summer Strike came and went…and given what @ceciliedk has been saying about Misaeng, I think it’s a big nope for me too.
      Coffee Prince
Nopey nope nopems. I’m with you on this one too. I’m a big Gong Yoo fan, so that’s not why 😉
      Goblin
Ah, well in this case, I’m a big Gong Yoo fan, so that’s totally why :). I love this drama. In truth—and I don’t readily admit this—it’s one of my top three. That said, I also would never recommend it to anyone IRL. I don’t know if that’s because I’m like a child who “wants to keep her precious things all to herself,” or because there are too many weirdnesses to this story that can be misconstrued, and I want the people I know who watch this to “construe” it MY WAY. Yeah, it’s a real divisive one. I even came to adore the ending. I’ll remember something about it weekly, probably.
      Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
I am with you on this one too. In fact, it takes quite a bit for me to watch a drama that centers on young people (this young, I mean) falling in love.
      My love from the star
Here’s my memory of the running commentary I offered to this one last time: “Hmm…don’t know this one by title, which probably means that every time someone mentions it I think, ‘huh I don’t know that one’ and then never look it up. So, I shall look it up now….oh hellz no, I’m not watching this one. I’m with you here for just the hairstyles alone—not going to put myself through that.”

      […]

      3
      5

        […]
        W: Two Worlds
I also didn’t know this one and googled it. I might watch it, but it’s on the borderline for being “too old” for me. It’s not that I think that dramas made prior to 2016-2017 are any better or worse (although you have a point about the older ones often not being so sensitive to “sensitive topics”), it’s that there are so many dramas that I want to watch that I need to have SOME limits—and a chronological one is as good as any other. It’s gonna have to be a pretty desperate day to watch it, though, I bet. I hope such a day does not come.
Be Melodramatic (Melo Is My Nature)
It took me quite a few episodes to get into this drama, but I eventually was very glad that I did. That said, there is one relationship in this series that was so devastating for me to watch that I actually have to actively UNREMEMBER it every time I think about Be Melo, or I’ll only remember that I hated it and sat in pain through some parts of the drama. So, yeah. I saw an image of the young man from the relationship in question the other day (a picture of the character, not just the actor) and I had to look away from the screen and, like, compose my emotions because I low-key started to panic for this fictional character. For those who’ve seen it, I’m talking about Choo Jae-Hoon played by Gong Myung.

Actually, there’s a scene in Be Melo where they make fun of ajummas who love Goblin to a sorry extreme. That’s me. I’m that sorry. And I’m really close to being that ajumma-y.
Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim * (Dr. Romantic *)
I’m with you on this one too! I don’t enjoy medical anything, frankly. I liked Dr. Cha pretty much despite it being in a medical setting.

I’d say that we’re well above any expectation of random agreement—and that we totally share many opinions on which “classic dramas” we will not choose to watch.

        SEON-HA’S CURRENT CONTRIBUTIONS
So, in writing what I wrote about Romantic Dr, etc… I remembered a “classic” that I know I can add without your list: I never plan on watching Hospital Playlist *. Also, I had said Reply 1988 on the original post that started this conversation.

Here are few others that come to mind:
        * Boys over Flowers
        * Heirs [although that hardly counts as, yeah, it’s a classic, but everyone also says that it’s horrible]
        * Hotel de Luna
        * I think Signal may have also recently made it onto this list due to some spoilers…

Thanks, @darwi! This was fun to type up. Even if I had to do it twice for my sins.

        4
        2

I’m very sorry that you had to type twice, but very glad you did.

I do not plan to watch Hospital playlist. But this not a veto. I’m okay with hospital settings (I loved Doctor John) but I just do not care about the actors. And since kdrama actors are often very pretty, I take it as a requirement to have some appreciation. Kdrama have made me shallow 🤷. But the main reason is that I do NOT appreciate Jo Jung Suk. It is surely because he is good that I despised him in the two dramas where I saw him.

Regarding Me melo, I only have a feable idea of the plot. But I might have seen an extract with Jeon Yeo Been over-acting as in Vincenzo beginning… I have no memory of Han Ji Eun from Lovestruck in the city, so not a minus but not a bonus. I really do not like when there is one, or more, hysterical character. Korean must find it funny, seeing how often these sort-of-comical characters are present. But each of them is a negative point in my note.

I have zero intention to watch Boys over flowers or Heirs. No interest in the stories. And I might also just put a veto because of Lee Min Ho. That’s totally arbitrary. I have not seen him play, except in two ep of Personal taste that did not impress me. He is popular, so I do not like him (yes, he’s got a special treatment. I’m more neutral towards Kim Soo Hyun, and I have reasons to not like Lee Jong Suk). I will probably try Ask the stars/When the stars gossip because of Gong Hyo Jin, or I’ll wait for the verdict after it airs.

I have seen Hotel del Luna. It’s pretty. I’m okay with the case of the week structure (my friend doesn’t like it). I don’t remember much.
          Signal is on my watchlist.

Actually, there’s a scene in Be Melo where they make fun of ajummas who love Goblin to a sorry extreme. That’s me. I’m that sorry.

Ok, this is tempting me, just to picture you. 😉

        OK! Drama list received. Amazing.

Here’s my own list of “classics” I truly never plan on watching, as extracted from this truly astounding spreadsheet.

This list doesn’t include the ones that I already agreed with you on above.

        * Reply 1988
        * Hospital Playlist of any stripe
        * Boys over Flowers
        * Heirs
        * Hotel del Luna
        * Signal
        * Twenty-five, Twenty-one
        * Extraordinary You
        * Mr. Sunshine
        * Chicago Typewriter (although I know you like this one @darwi–here’s an exception. Please feel free to sway me on this. I am worried that it ends poorly)

        4
        2

I think the only things I’d actually count as somewhat classics on this list are Reply 88 and BOF, and I don’t think anyone would fault you for missing the latter on purpose these days lmao.
Maybe me thinking the rest aren’t or can’t be classics ever or yet will spark convo itself tho… 🤭🤭

          3
          1

Yes, the definition of “classic” is difficult… that’s why I went with the 2022 popularity list. Maybe these drama are not classics but they are beloved.

            3
            0

I will not watch Twenty-five, Twenty-one nor Extraordinary You. As you said, the leads are too young.

I will watch Mr Sunshine someday, when the mood will align. I’m quite curious about this one, about the period. And there are a lot of comments about the beauty of the sets and costumes. Is it a bit like a republican cdrama ? This era seems interesting to me, partly because it’s totally different from my personal experience (not that Joseon era drama reflect my life).

I loved Chicago Typewriter. I have not been able to convince my friend to watch it, because it is not really a romance. It a friendship story. It’s a passion story. It is tragic. But it is beautiful. For me, the ending is good. Very heart-warming.
I did not know a important part of the plot, that I will not reveal. I went in knowing that two timelines were entangled. And they are beautifully visually linked.
I reckon that I am biased towards Im Soo Jung and Go Kyung Pyo.

          4

Idk whether to laugh or cry that You From The Stars/My Love From Another Star is no longer a recognisable drama by name alone 😅

        6
        0

Why not Coffee Prince? It’s very flawed, but it’s also very unique, I think?
I love how, as the season moves on, you get to know so many loves and relationships, and mostly what they have in common is that they are not what they seem at first sight. I would bear with the flaws for that, certainly.

        3
        4

Ha. This conversation isn’t about persuasion 🙂

          2
          1

I won’t watch Coffee Prince because I see those flaws coming from 10,000 miles away and literally don’t want to watch Gong Yoo act them out. I know the plot pretty well—how can’t I?—and have seen many of the salient scenes, so it’s also slightly a misnomer to say “I’ve not watched it at all.” I’ve seen maybe 15 minutes total of it in clips.

          4
          0

Since I have already cited quite a few names, I’ll go on… I do not like Gong Yoo. It’s totally unjust, as I have not seen him play. But he is totally unattractive for me.
Old flawed drama… why would I watch it ? I have no interest in the plot, no interest in the leads (okay, I see that there is Lee Sun Kyun…) so why would I ? for the sociological experimentation ? To be honest, I fear that there would be too many eye-rolls for me.

          5
          0

(it’s okay to be intense. We are here because we are intense in our kdrama love)

Maybe I should write a few words on the dramas pages of the dramas that I like to persuade others to watch them…

          6
          2

Don’t worry, I was joking I’m okay with expressing my views. There is way more dramas that I will not watch, but I only listed those present in the first 60 in the linked spreadsheet.
You might try to sway me, but I’m quite stubborn 😉 (my friend is a bit sour that I refuse to watch King the land despite liking Junho and all her efforts)

        4
        1

No, I think it’d be bothersome if this interaction was about persuasion rather than just listening and responding. Except on Chicago Typewriter. I am potentially interested in being swayed to watch that one.

Also, I feel sort of obligated to refer you to a pretty long write up I did on how to post longer things to the Fan Wall. I can tell you don’t really want to hear it, but since I’ve become sort of known for this—@reply1988 you can keep sending people my way!!!—I feel like I must.

I may end up putting this one up as a free-standing Fan Wall post in the coming month because folks do keep asking and it’s annoying to have it in an Open Thread, especially when the site is loading slowly.

Thanks a lot ! So that’s the CRTL+C CTRL+V that go me… I’m so used to it that I cannot imagine another way to paste the data… I’ll have to remember that it is not sufficient to write in textpad, but that I have to paste manually on the fan wall.

You and @attiton are having an interesting convo all by yourself. This will make a good OT or WWW post (Controversial or not)

      3
      2

What do you have in mind regarding a way to proceed ?
Shall we propose a drama chat topic “beloved classic that I will not watch” ? Or rewrite the discussion as an article, at the risk on focussing mostly on the dramas that we cite ?
Would you share the classics that you won’t watch ?
        … but what is a classic @sicarius @kmromrellomrell @attiton @ceciliedk @reply1988 ?

        2
        3

I like the idea of an article on the classic drama and what makes a classic for you and therefore why X,Y, and Z are not on your classic list despite their popularity. This would lead to an interesting discussion in the comments section as other beanies could list their criteria for attaching the classic label and their list of top 5 or 10 they would class as classics and those they would not.

We already had a post on dramas everyone else loved and we didn’t and vice versa so I think this would be good way to expand on the discussion and will definitely be popular. Maybe I should say could be popular? I am surprised the screen writer post was not that busy in the end so maybe I am not that good at calling which will ‘go viral’ after all🤣

          2
          6

@darwi I think you should feel free to proceed however you like! I’m not likely to be more forthcoming about dramas I won’t watch and the reasons I won’t watch them out-of-hand on a main thread—but I bet many other people would be! I’m sure our generous overlords would take this suggestion very seriously.

            3
            0

@attiton I do not plan to tell more than what’s already here.
But I realize that maybe what you just said is not that you won’t say more (as in developping reasons or giving other dramas titles) but that you are less likely to give such a list in a more publicly exposed thread. If that is the latter, the idea to propose an article “Seon-ha and Darwi discuss beloved classics that that they will not watch” is out of the way…

            1
            0

@darwi Yes, it’s the latter (not feeling comfortable in a more publicly exposed thread) for me. But that doesn’t mean–as I thought you were suggesting–that you shouldn’t propose this theme to the DB moderators for a Drama Chat idea! You could just recapitulate what you said here there and get more feedback, if that’s your thing!!

Did I misunderstand the suggestion? Were you thinking we’d do a guest piece like when they post “Thriving and Surviving in Dramaland” guest posts from commenter Beanies? Huh.

            2
            0

@darwi and @attiton I was originally thinking a guest post but if neither of you are comfortable doing that then we can suggest a drama chat by emailing Miss Victrix. I was assuming it was too close to the similar theme I mentioned above but they do repeat popular themes like the top 10. Also last time they didn’t have each weecap writer give their reasons for not watching a ‘classic’ so it would be interesting to read that and then have the DB community add to the discussion in the comments section.

            2
            0

@reply1988 and @darwi I think I just misunderstood what was being asked. I think @emsel was suggesting something simpler like starting a conversation with a post to Open Thread, and so I was running with the notion that we’d just open up this same conversation to everyone.

@darwi Were you really suggesting a full guest post?

            3
            0

            @attiton I’m glad I asked for precision.
There were two proposals: 1) A drama chat topic 2) A guest post in duo. (And an additional one, possibly drama chat topic, “what is a classic”.)
Proposing the drama chat topic, and commenting on it is not an issue for me.
A duo guest post with you will not happen, and I totally understand.
A solo guest post from my part on the above discussed topic seems presumptuous. Who am I to expose my dislikes or rebuttal of beloved classics ? Also, it seems a bit negative and I believe we all prefer to steer Dramabeans’s discussions toward more welcoming and positive topics. Maybe this could be transformed into “classics that I love” or “dramas that I’m loving alone” (two different lists of dramas, away from those discussed here)… These topics would be topics already explored, as mentioned by @reply1988 , but I believe the aim of “underrated gems” articles is to put more light on them so repetition is part of the process…

In my view, “beloved dramas that I did not love” is different from “beloved dramas that I will not watch”. For the former, some drama viewing occurred. Was it complete or was it a drop, no importance. But for the latter, the point is the refusal to watch. Maybe if I were to watch My Adjussi I would appreciate the drama. However, I’m not giving it a chance.

            3
            0

Sorry for the delay in replying.

As @attiton pointed out I wanted an opening in OT or WWW, so people can join in with their opinions, but I realized there can still be beanies who hesitate to comment their views fearing opposing views and in the end the convo in OT/WWW would more or less become a chat with few beanies. In this case, an official DB chat would give them a valid space to bring forth their thoughts and reasons.

I liked the idea behind “Beloved classic that I will not watch” because most naysayers would refrain from commenting in a show’s recap once they gauge the reaction of the audience to be majorly positive. This is also applicable for minority people who continue to like a show despite the negative feedback.

“Persuade me to watch a drama” is a great idea that no one has come up with before. This will certainly give a different insight into a show that may have been pushed out unfairly and end up being underrated.

Thank you in advance @darwi if you are mailing DB about these topics.

P.S: Guest posts are knowledgeable and fun to read, but the general crowd, mostly out of courtesy would not challenge the author and will keep it light.

          2
          1

Thank you for giving your reasoning.

If I understand well, I’m tasked with emailing the staff with the idea of a drama-chat “beloved classics that I will not watch” and the idea of a post-serie “Persuade me to watch a drama”.
I can illustrate with @attiton reticence about Chicago typewriter, and the arguments I proposed. Or I could find a drama I’m hesitating on… not easy… I tend to already have quite a notion of how soon I want to see one of the 1130 dramas in “next dramas” list. And the “classics” are mostly out of the “50-75 maybe” range. Ah. Found one. “I hear your voice” is rather low on my list, but 21 on “overall popularity”.
Now, organise the thoughts in an email…

            1

I consider classics to be decade or more old dramas that are well received by the public.

As far as the classics that I will never watch is 0 because I always try at least 1 episode of every show, unless the genre is horror. I can tweak it to classic Kdramas that I dropped. To name a few I remember immediately:

          1. Lovers in Paris
          2. My lovely sam soon
          3. Secret Garden
          4. Moon embracing the Sun
          5. Arang and the magistrate

I think I see some takers on today’s “Beanie Recs” who’d offer you reasons why you should take up Arang and the Magistrate🤔

You interested in “being convinced” @emsel?? 🙂

I’ve discovered dramas 2,5 years ago. So 10 years make sense, but seem a bit too long/too restrictive to me. And tbh dramas anterior to 2013 look more like oldies to my eyes.

I’d say that I consider “classic” a drama whose name everybody knows. However, this is impossible to check… and My love from the star failed this test.

Can we take the 50 highest ranked by “overall cross-year popularity” with a diffusion date anterior to 2020 ? (see the link to the file in previous comments)

That’s nice of you to watch at least 1ep. How do previews and extracts fits ? I know scenes from dramas that I have not seen… Or should I consider that I have seen part of the drama ? If I am able to recognise the reference to Goblin in Cafe Minamdang, should I consider this dramas “seen” ? If I have better recollection of the Apple store scene in Goblin than any scene in One spring night that I’m dropping after 10 days hiatus, how does it count ?

Regarding the dramas that you named :
Secret garden and iconic Hyun Bin in sequins tracksuit. With old fashion machismo, and old-fashioned meek FL. I laughed a lot during the first 4 eps. Much less when he comes back to his body. There are some good ideas. This drama is now old and has several evidences.
Arang and the magistrate is a drama that I just finished. After one week of interruption, I almost didn’t follow up. I like Lee Joon Gi and Shin Min Ah. The story is not going to stay with me.
Lovers in Paris. A romance from 2004, reasons why I had no knowledge of this drama. Are they really in Paris ? It might be a reason to watch, to grumble that the geography is wrong…
My lovely Sam Soon is much higher (31e) in overall popularity. Romance from 2005, low (in the “will probably never watch”) on my list.
Moon embracing the Sun has the same overall popularity as BOF, and is in “maybe someday” on my list.

@attiton Yes, I saw that the first suggestion was to mention this in Open Thread or What we are watching, as a way to open the discussion while still having it relatively burried (particularly for the Open Thread). That’s why I proposed to make it an explicit topic. 😅

By the way, the discussion here is not restricted. Yet only @kmromrell offered some dramas titles. How come ? (ok, I was asked on another Beanie fanpage and I took it on mine so as not to pollute the page, so this might play)

Maybe there is another possibility, of topics and articles : “persuade me to watch a drama”.
This could be interesting because several beanies would provide arguments for a drama that they appreciate. And this would supplement the drama-page. (see how I anwser to your and @cayong03 request ?)

Oooh, now that one would be amazing: “Persuade Me to Watch a Drama.”

I’m 10,000% behind that. I’d be happy to seed that with a more fleshed-out version of why I am reticent to see Chicago Typewriter for example…and your response, posted to the actual review page could be also re-used?

As for the Fan Wall, I’ve noticed that folks are often reticent to jump into long conversations between other Beanies—I don’t know why, but I take it as a form of politeness, frankly, of not wanting to “butt in.” I’m sure there are lots of other reasons for it, though. 🙂

😊 I’m happy that you like the “persuade me to watch a drama” proposal.
Now, how do we proceed ?
Would it be a drama-chat or a post theme with some saying “I hesitate to watch this drama because… persuade me” ? Or @attiton or I send an email proposal and see what Dramabeans team think of it ?

@darwi Well, I guess I’d send the idea to the DB Team and see if they want to pick it up as an “official” Drama Chat, and if so, find out if they just want to run it themselves and we simply participate as “regular users” or if they’d like us to write up a sample interaction for the main post!

And, if they’d rather us do this on Open Thread or whatever, they could then tell us that at that time.

I do not need to be involved in the email writing process…I think that would not only slow things down but I would make things worse 🙂 This is exciting!

I love your idea of Persuade me to watch a drama and can see Beanies queuing up to sell their chosen drama.

@darwi I feel inadequate to answer since I don’t have that many list of dramas that I’ve watched fully. On one hand I drop countless dramas like hot potato, on the other hand too many dramas just aren’t that memorable. I’m afraid I’d end up looking like bad-mouthing most dramas. But I totally on board with ‘ Persuade me to watch a drama’ since once I like something, I do it fiercely. Send it away!😊

Hey, @darwi ! I’d say that your idea for a “Drama Chat” took off like a shot!!! 255 comments!!!!

It’s also your idea ! 😊 I’m happy that the good conversation on this page became another good larger conversation.

I also proposed “persuade me to watch a drama” and missvictrix answered:

We are all on the same wavelength — we’ve had something in the works that’s quite similar to your “persuade me” idea. I’ll take your ideas into account as we’re working out the final details.

So we’ll see how it goes.
