Kang Hanna began her acting career in 2009 through the short films Last Homecoming and King of Guitar. In 2013, she landed her first TV appearance in the MBC series Miss Korea. In 2015, she starred in the period film Empire of Lust along with Shin Ha-kyun, Jang Hyuk, and Kang Haneul. Her career breakthrough came in 2016 when she became part of the SBS sageuk Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, which earned her an Excellence Award nomination at the SBS Drama Awards. She was also nominated for Best New Actress at the 53rd Baeksang Arts Awards for her work in the series. In 2019, she joined Ji Jin-hee in the main cast of tvN’s Designated Survivor: 60 Days, which was based on the U.S. series Designated Survivor. In 2020, she bagged a major role in the hit tvN drama Start-Up. In 2021, she played a slow-witted gumiho-turned-human in the tvN fantasy rom-com My Roommate Is a Gumiho.


Kang Hanna studied theater at Chung-Ang University.
