Kang Seung-yoon first forayed into the entertainment industry in 2010 by participating in Mnet’s Superstar K2, where he finished in fourth place. In 2013, he debuted as a solo singer with the digital single It Rains. He next appeared in Mnet’s reality show WIN: Who Is Next, which led to the birth of the South Korean boy group Winner in 2014. Their first extended play titled 2014 S/S topped the Billboard World Albums chart and spawned the hit song Empty. In 2021, he released his debut solo studio album called Page.


Kang Seung-yoon made his acting debut in the 2011 MBC sitcom High Kick: Counterattack of the Short Legs. In 2015 and 2016, he starred in the web dramas We Broke Up and Love for a Thousand More. The former won him the Best Male Actor trophy at the 2015 K Web Fest Awards. In 2017, he played a supporting role in the hit tvN series Smart Prison Living. In 2020, he joined the main cast of MBC’s Kairos, which earned him a Best New Actor nomination at the MBC Drama Awards. In 2021, he appeared in the tvN thriller Voice 4.


Kang Seung-yoon is an only child. He was a competitive billiards player during his younger years. He graduated from Busan High School of Arts, where he majored in class guitar.
