Kim Young-jae began his acting career through appearances in short films such as 2001’s Declare and 2002’s Story of the Sea. In 2005, he played Rain’s brother in the KBS2 drama A Love to Kill, which was named Best Drama Series at the 2006 Asian Television Awards. He next starred in the 2006 MBC daily drama Love Is Over. He then became part of the SBS daily series Don’t Hesitate and Three Sisters, which aired in 2009 and 2010. In 2018, he was cast in supporting roles in tvN’s Mother and MBC’s Red Moon, Blue Sun. In 2020, he appeared in the films Mr. Zoo: The Missing VIP and Beyond That Mountain. In 2021, he joined the casts of the high-rating tvN dramas Mouse and High Class.
