Kwak Sun-young made her acting debut in the 2006 musical Dalgona. After several years performing on stage, she transitioned to the small screen in 2018 through a supporting role in the SBS legal drama Your Honor. That same year, she became part of the tvN romantic melodrama Boyfriend, where she played the role of Song Hye-gyo’s secretary. In 2019, she joined the main cast of the SBS series VIP, which earned her a Best New Actress nomination at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2020, she was cast as Jo Jung-seok’s younger sister in the hit tvN drama Hospital Playlist. In 2021, she acted alongside Lee Young-ae in JTBC’s Inspector Koo.
Kwak Sun-young attended Myongji College and Dongguk University.
