@lixie Oh, yeah, he’s a crazy villain. I took the image down for ya. But the scene was hilarious in context.

You didn’t have to take it down! I was just curious. I would not mind this kind of scene if dramas used them to discuss and criticize the abuse but instead it’s a way to normalize it. The audience knows it’s wrong because usually the boss is crazy and the employee is nice, not because it’s absurd in itself and if shoes were reversed it would still be wrong.
By the way this guy always does creepy very well.

I’ve only seen a couple of episodes but yikes he is menacing! And I haven’t seen him do anything really scary yet 😯

I missed all your fan wall posts but did you do your leap into underwear drawer celebration somewhere? I can only see when you became a doppelgänger mentioned on 14th July. I am having some serious issues navigating the site so I may have missed it. So sorry for the belated levelling up celebration 🎊

@reply1988 I did indeed don (or become???) the Goblin’s pants, maybe a week or so ago? As you know, I’m not an avid tracker, but it did happen! Today, however, I did note that I passed 1,000 comments…so that might also be something to celebrate!

Thanks for paying attention to these things!

No worries, I thought you were tracking the levelling up in prep for logging how many happy days you spend in Errand boy land. I am fascinated by the ratio of likes to comments that different beanies have and wonder whether this impacts on the speed of levelling up but I can’t work it out. I had just under 2k likes when I became an Errand boy and just over 5k when I left 3 months later yet most other beanies had higher comments and likes than me and still spent years in Errand boy land. So I think speed wise it will be interesting to watch your progress as you are levelling up quickly and have high likes numbers. You may end up doing a Sicarius and get from Candy to Loan shark in 7 months which I wasn’t able to do. I got to the rooftop in 5 months but then was trapped there for 7 months because I had hardly any live watch dramas and things were quiet on the site. These days lots of new beanies are commenting on the various posts and fan walls are active. DB is a fun place to be and I enjoy settling down with a hot drink and catching up on the comments when I have glitch free days which are proving to be a rare occurrence these days. Good luck on your mission.

Oh, @reply1988. Site woes. I want to write to our leaders offering any help I can provide, but I don’t want to say something insulting or stupid. Running a website like this, on what are pretty darn old software technologies (for reasons!!!), is so super-hard. It’s really…really…hard. You can’t just fix one thing without worrying something else will break. What should I do? Should I say something?

One thing that might help you from time to time though is to clear your web browser’s cache. Do you know how to do that? I remember you saying you use Opera for “reasons,” so if you use that for DB too, here’s instructions: https://blogs.opera.com/tips-and-tricks/2023/04/clean-browser-and-remove-trackers/

You can clear it all, but for these purposes, you only need to clear the “Cached Images and Files.”

Thank you for being my tech support. I have been trying VPN on and off, different browsers Safari, Bravo and Opera to see if anything makes a difference but at some point I end up in the same place.

Click on notifications, click on beanie replied and watch the progress bar pause or the wheel of doom twirl and then:
            – arriving on a random point on the correct post so I scroll up or down to see if I can find the reply
            – get the gateway error page
            – being logged out and needing to log back in again.

I don’t always email in because I have part time internet at home which always knows when to play up with my work online meetings 😬even though I pay for the supposedly faster more reliable system.

@reply1988 Yeah, this is similar to issues that I have—I deal with them slightly differently, but it isn’t a question of “right and wrong,” unfortunately. It’s not likely to be your VPN except that that would slow your connection down.

As for ending up on the “wrong part of the page,” though…that often happens (again unfortunately) when the webpage that is loading is in the background. It’s not something that Dramabeans can really fix.

The loading time that causes the gateway error, though, is (technically-speaking) something they could fix…but it isn’t going to be as simple as flipping a switch or changing a command. You move one thing on a site like this, and 10 other things move a little, so it would take some real focused attention and $$$$…which is what I’d be asking for if I wrote in. That’s why I’m hesitating!

Oh wow Errand boy is fast approaching now you are a fugitive. I hope we catch the transition into Errand boy so we can see how quickly you speed through it. Congrats on levelling up🥳
