With the excuse of being jet-lagged (already 1 week) my bf stayed up all night (for the very 1st time) watching Defendant and told me it was so good, and blamed me for passing this addiction on him…

        Another problem is we cheat! I tried to catch up with his 5 eps, and then I marathoned to ep 7. And then, he catched up and watched all of it within 1 night. :)))))
        I think I should have him watch Healer (it got voice over, he’s not good with reading sub (yet)), or push his admiration for Ji Sung with Kill Me Heal Me (though I hope he’s not annoyed with Jung Eum’s yelling) next. Maybe I hear Your Voice by telling him “Lee Bo Young is Ji Sung’s wife”…. Those I already watched.
        I have a long list of things I haven’t watched and want to watch with him like Life on Mars, Prison Playbook, Misaeng, etc but we must watch together. :))

Jun Ho gets most of lucks these days!!!! Funny how in just 1:30 Joon Young and Dong Gu remind Jun Ho of their supports, while Tae Hyun busy laughing, Defconn and Jongmin on the opposite, as always…

    it’s nice to see him having some luck ! Jongmin running as soon as he lost was funny and so desperate haha x) .
    I thought JJY would make a comeback later but it didn’t happen, seems like lately JunHo stole some of JJY’s luck x)

      I believe JJY used up his luck. And it gets more hilarious that way, honestly.
      Jun ho on the other hand, getting super lucky recently.
      Last ep both JJY and Donggu skipped lunch, while Junho was full with his chance to eat. :))
      And this ep, Junho won the game, JJY and Donggu are his guards who execute tortures on Jong Min. 😀

I did ask fellow beanies which dramas to watch with bf but we did not really have good chance last summer. Suddendly he asked me how to watch Kdrama as he watched 5 eps of Defendant on flight. :))

    Watching Defendant now. Been saving it to watch with my bf but surprised he even saw it before me. It’s been so long I got excited about a drama. 🙂

    Well that is great its really hard to even get another female friend to watch a kdrama. I can’t really suggest you anything based on experience but I think Ally’s list is great and Circle is definitely the best choice however, I think Prison Playbook is a show that boys must see.

      I reposted my post and your comments to add Defendant. And I found it funny how I plan and put a must-see list but we were never able to do so, while thing just happens by itself. My bf has long-haul flight and found nothing to watch, and he came across Defendant :D.
      Btw, we watched Forest of Secrets last summer. 😀

      How about the Korean version?
      I only watched the Taiwanese version.
      And you may try In time with you, it’s an original screenplay drama, not converting from manga, but it’s good!

        The Japanese version is way, way, way better than either Taiwanese or Korean versions, in my opinion. They just don’t capture the hilarity that was in the original.

    MG (original and 2018 if you ignore the last eps. Heck, even if you dont. Everything is better than BOF jan-di is the literal definition of YUCK)
    TKA is better than ISWAK but you HAVE to watch ISWAK to really get all of the emotional notes from ISWA and they are both better than Playful Kiss.
    I’ve not seen either of the last two.

      Jan-di is probably the only character that I recast in my head every time I see clips of BOF, I usually just go with whoever they cast but her No. who would you have cast?

        Probably Park Shin Hye. They have chemistry in Heirs and BOF is a better drama and PSH is a better actress IMO.

        Who would you recast her as?

        Oh….we just had the MG 2018 remake. If you could remake BoF with current kdrama actors who would you choose?!

          If I could remake BOF with current Kdrama actors, age wise I would choose Yoo Seungho, Nam Joo Hyuk, Park Hyung Shik, L (Infinite), but for height, I am not sure. Jandi can be played by Nam Ji Hyun? Actually I want to start the batch with Yeo Jin Gu, and Kim So Hyun as male/female leads (highschoolers), but don’t remember anyone around their ages right now…

      I haven’t watched MG 2018 yet, there’re a lot of doubts among my peers for the drama, since we (my age) all love MG (Taiwan) so much to accept new one that is not as good. 😀
      I love both ISWAK and TKA, they are my no. 1 Taiwanese dramas, as you said TKA is better, but I think mostly becos they get married in TKA and become more lovey dovey. In ISWAK we watch Xiangqin showing her unrequited love almost 90% of the drama. ;D

I’m watching My Secret Terrius now, come for So Ji Sub, stay for the twins. They are just too cute to skip! Hoping this will be a good one! Want to pick up Seo In Guk’s drama but maybe a bit later…

I did not pick up any new dramas after Gangnam beauty, but I did see \”On Your Wedding Day\” in theater. I have a girl crush on Park Bo Young! And poor soul Kim Young Kwang I\’m crying too much for him!

    *SPOILER* I feel Sung-hee character moving on decisively is very much like Chia-yi from “You’re the apple of my eye”… For their loves to boys of same age, then growing up through college… The couple’s decisions and misundersanding and drifting apart slowly… take a toll on them, but the girl is the one who is more mature, and she wishes for breakup for her own reasons and manages to move on… For that, I really like the movie.

      You never know when they will strike but when they do you will be left in bemused confusion, looking at a benign and inoffensive sentence wondering what on Earth it did wrong and how your unfortunate transgression can be fixed.
