Beanies pls help! I just can’t remember “Snail” by Panic as O.S.T for which drama or movie? Must have heard it before somewhere.
I happened to hear Looney sing it in Prison Playbook as the clip below.

It was used in the Answer Me series! I can’t remember which one, though.

Maybe… I just can’t find any ost Mvs on youtube for this song except for Prison Playbook…

So it is the 3rd time I rewatched “60 days designated survivor” in 2020.
I miss President Park and his team… in these hard days.
And every time I rewatch, I find new reasons why I love it so much.

This is such a great but underrated drama. Inspiring and brave leadership is hard to come by especially in challenging time like now. A rewatch is due.

I just rewatched episode 1,2 last night, and many more details fell into places. Especially why President Yang decides to sacrifice Min. Park and pushed on finishing the FTA with US… Always in awe rewatching this drama.

Ooh! I stopped this mid-way. I should pick this up again. Should be a timely watch what with the chaos that’s been going around lately. 😅

    Thanks for reminding me! 😄

It’s an excellent drama. I enjoyed the original, but thought this was a tighter, high quality, better remake.

    1
    1

I heard many reviewed the same.
I haven’t watched the American show myself, and I won’t since it heavily depends on season format, it will not be satisfactory to me, in storywise.

Dramaland needs more talented cuties like Kingkang.

I swear I only post these pictures for Kingkang, not LEE MIN KI.

Screenshots by @dramallama for “Beauty inside”.

Not much work since they are from DB recappers! Thanks to them!
He’s so attracting and distracting!!! His face, his eyes, his walk,… I swear everytime I rewatched Beauty inside or Because… I discovered a new facial expression or angle of his.
So… you will definitely see more Se Hee or Do Jae on fan wall… 😉

Half of 2020, my favorite dramas: Hospital playlist, Someday or one day (TW), The story of Minglan (CH),… and some of the old ones like Reply 1988, Beauty inside… What\’s yours? Any recommendation?

My favorites of 2020 so far have been Extracurricular, Hospital Playlist, When the Weather is Nice, and Black Dog!

I heard that Weather is good but slow pace. How is Seo Kang Joon in Weather?

        Pretty.
        Really. Drop dead gorgeous

Shallowness aside, SKJ’s character is thoroughly sweet and understated, and he does it beautifully.
Really liked this drama, but kind of checked out on the OTP in the last couple of episodes – but it was the writing’s fault, not the acting. Both leads are flawless and the ensemble is wonderful. Altogether, it’s a really nice and warm watch

        1
        1

I like “warm and feel good” drama.
Actually I tend to like PMY’s characters more than her male co-stars’ characters. Except for Healer. I’m curious to see how Seo Kang Joon acts opposite her.
Will give it a watch. 😀

Someday or One Day is still my favourite so far! I’m always happy to see people spreading love for this drama 💚💚💚
Also had a lot of fun watching Hyena and Extracurricular. The King was wickedly fun, but it really was a hot mess…
A piece of your mind and When the weather is fine were both pretty

    1
    1

I tend to watch shows on Netflix now, so next might be Extracurricular. Maybe Hyena too given how everyone gave high praises everywhere.
And you don’t know how I kept talking about Someday and begging my friends to give it a try. Sadly it’s not available on Netflix so not so accessible. Then I watched King expecting something extraordinary like Someday… but its story is vain, lack of logic and emotions… Its ending is the worst, compared to Someday (where everything is wiped away and restart but it felt so satisfying…). I had to rewatch Someday right after King ended last week. :))

      1
      1

Someday is really well written, whereas The King… is pretty to look at. Fangirling over The King and sharing wild theories here on DB made it a lot more fun!
I usually watch on Netflix and Viki (for airing dramas, Netflix in my region isn’t into kdrama)

    in no particular order
    for 2020
    A little reunion (CH)
    Joy of Life (CH)
    Pegasus Market (K)
The World of the married (K)

I also watched and loved Someday or One day and MingLan ^^

    for late 2019
    Yong Jiu Grocery Store (TW)
    The World Between Us (TW)
    Your Fukubukuro (CH)

check the synopsis , there are different types of drama ^^’

      Love MingLan.
We have an official dubbed version for its here.
During covid and drama slump in April, May, I keep opened random episodes of MingLan and let it play while I’m doing stuff.

My last post in DB was Sep 2019, time sure flies! Coming back to make a note for myself after rewatching Because this is our first life (and Beauty Inside last week):

I still don’t know if I should what Shut up flower band… Happened to see spoilers… debating between his glory of 2 episodes and the tragedy…….

      1

You haven’t seen it before? Watch it! Now! I think it’s arguably his most magnetic performance to date. Yes, there’s tragedy, but it’s worth it.

But I loved the show as a whole back when I watched it and it was my first time watching LMK, so it didn’t hurt me quite as much as it hurt other people, I think. He’s definitely the shining star of the first two episodes, though, and it’s noticeable when that light goes out.

        1
        1

I know I should… heard a lot about this drama and how good Lee Min Ki in it… Definitely watch it while waiting for his comeback!

          1
          0

Btw, there’s a poll for which actor is your husband material. I will have to pick Lee Min Ki from now on now! Just not sure if I want his eyeliner sassy version or the pouty puppy face version… :)) How about you?

      1
      1

        Can’t I have both?!

        1
        1

Haha you can have him both.
Actually I couldn’t pick anyone before, so I went with Gong Yoo in his Coffee Prince days. For you it’s always Lee Min Ki? I meant the answer for ideal bf or husband material?

’til season 2. :((
Sometimes I just wish these Netflix dramas are just regular Korean dramas where you can find lots of interviews, bts, still cuts, fanmade videos,…

They changed style this time around and they rock it 😮

I’m now at ep 7 of 60 days. Quite a long time since Forest of Secret to have such politic/crime K-drama that this thrilling. The only complaint, NIS team! Why not share/report anything to Blue House?

2
2

    1. Major Jang (aka Sergeant Snoopy Grumpy in DOTS) scarified himself to capture that North Korean terrorist alive. Only for NIS to let him killed off that easily!?!
    2. If the NIS teams already believe that Assembly Oh is not “miraculously alive”, at least report that much. Na Kyeong is the least selling character to me so far.
    3. “Prosecutor Seo Dong Jae” is now much less talkative, yet so threatening just from those stares…

Things might unfold more, but I’m impressed with team Blue House! Drama please treat them and Mr. President nicely! 😢

And this one is for Love Alarm. I chose to watch this on Netflix why waiting for Dr. John. Lethal mistake!!! WHY DID I NOT DO ANY RESEARCH THAT THIS IS UNFINISHED? S2 is not even confirmed! T_______T

2

I watched it last Sat afternoon, thinking “what a great length”, 12 episode drama is a piece of cake to marathon and finish within Saturday evening. Nice!
Little did I know what I dragged myself into!
Urg I hate the fact that they left us at that kind of cliff-hanger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best moments for me are whenever Sun-oh rings Jo-jo’s alarm. And realizing that he is the one who rings her alarm on that crossroad is one big step to solidify the fact that I’m #teamSun-oh. Drama you must bring back his sunny smiles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I really love the concept of this story lines, how it sets up realistic changes in human life. It feel like I just live through another “facebook” phase… to the point it’s scary!
Anyone watches the manga? Do you recommend it?

    1
    1

*Correct myself, Love alarm is only 8 ep long.
I must have imagined the rest 4 eps.

Coming back after not watching any new Kdramas for 7 months because of DR. JOHN. JI SUNG (heart-eyes!!!!) and Lee Se Young are great there! Sadly no recaps and not many beanies following it.

5
1

IMO, comparing to Beautiful Mind, the last medical drama I watch, Yo Han character and the stories built around him are much more compelling. So, sorry Jang Hyuk, I love to have Ji Sung as a doctor more than I do you!

Shin Sung Rok’s gifs flooding beanies page make me wonder if I should watch The Last Empress. Beanies please help: 1/ is he male lead? 2/ is he and Jang Na Ra a couple? 3/ do you recommend this drama?

8
2

    2. By couple, I mean do they have feeling for each other? Not by marriage.
    3. I thought he is cute in all those gifs, and I always love Jang Na Ra, this does not disappoint, right? I have not read or watched anything related to this drama…

    1
    0

    1. He is the male lead together with choi jin hyuk.

    2. They are legally married. Feelings wise we are not sure yet. And i don’t want to spoil you in case you want to start watching ehehe

    3. I do recommend this as i find it entertaining. Fair warning that this is not a normal romcom. Its a makjang. Its a mashup of multiple genres. Theres mystery, violence, a bit of procedural, romcom etc2. Its OTT and i think its intentionaly made to be OTT. Just dont think too much while watching and dont try rationalizing everything. Hahaha

Boyfriend w/ its Noona romance reminds me of I HEAR YOUR VOICE. What do you think of Lee Jong Seok ‘s character basically 18 in IHYV and Lee Bo Young, vs, Park Bo Geum and Song Hye Kyo’s age gap?

2

Look at his eyes!

8

Min was a memorable performance. Fell in love with him here.

    1
    1

Very memorable due to his complex character and his perfect portrayal! Evil yet vulnerable yet cute! How can his eyes and facial expressions perfectly tell us what he thinks????

      1
      0

I really wish to see him again in such a complex character like Min in Hello Monster/IRY. One minute he is scary and hard to read. The next minute he becomes soft and lonely longing for his bother….

15
2

But prepare yourself to get freaked out whenever cutie Min turns evil Lawyer Jung! His fake smiles haunt me ’til now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12

Anyone who has not watched Hello Monster/IRY, please pick it up right away! If Seo In Guk the Versatile or Jang Na Ra the Vampire are not enough for you, I hope MINNIE the cutie brother helps.

This was the show I really noticed Bogummy. I’d seen him in Tomorrow’s canatabile but it was here I fell in love. He was so adorable and evil at the same time. Loved it!

I happened to watch ENCOUNTER/BOYFRIEND this week. Then I realized I have never watched any other drama of Park Bo Gum after HELLO MONSTER/I REMEMBER YOU. Reason: can not get over MIN MIN MIN MIN…..

So, among the 2 new hits, do you pick Hyun Bin or Bogummy? Park Shin Hye or Song Hye Kyo?

3
10

I pick MotA because of Alhambra 😉 but MotA’s plot and storyline does fit my tastes with games, travelling and adventures! Both actors are not in my fav list but i dont dislike them.

    1
    0

    The actors?
Song Hye-kyo of course. She’s the first Korean actress that I know. I will always have soft spot for her.
The guys, none. I’m not a fan of bogummy or Hyunbin, although I admit I get their charm in their latest drama.

    The characters?
    Yoo Jin-woo.
    Jung Hee-joo.

D: why do i have to choose? i want them both! heh, anyway i’m only gonna watch them after they finish airing. can’t wait~
