    Honestly, I can’t think of a better Taiwanese drama for the second-half of last year to the first-half of this year. Perhaps Victim’s Game might be a strong contender!

    Maybe if there’s nothing better and if fans kick up enough of a fuss, but I don’t see that happening because they’re not as intense (i.e. internet savvy & nor scary) as fans (but really fans, more like sasaengs) in S.Korea who have a lot of influence over things….. There’s usually a group of people who serve on a panel as judges of these sorts of awards shows, regardless of the country—even Hollywood runs on this sort of system for their award shows— but really, a panel for award shows is pretty useless in S.Korea

      Yup. Ive been following the Golden Bell for quite a while. Their panel of judges are of a certain standard, they judge quality > popularity unlike the SK counterparts. Hence I mentioned that Victim’s Game will be a strong contender due to its quality. There were a couple of other shows that Taiwanese netizens pointed out, but I really hope SOOD can win. It’s quality it’s there, and also produced by the same team who did for Marry Me or Not (which Alice won an award for that year too)

      My personal opinion? Yes! I saw a couple of reviews saying how KJW shouldn’t have taken this up, but i beg to differ. The movie was beautifully shot!

So beanies, I’ve been hooked onto this Taiwanese variety show since June, they play a game similar to The Mafia Game. Wanted to share a video that I absolutely loved! So a little back context, some of the frequent guests ended up forming a temporary group (they are Singers from different agencies and some of you may know 09 who sings Someday Or One Day’s OST) for fun. It first started as multiple duos, then four and now five. The individual members are holding concerts one after another these days, and today’s the “leader’s”. Totally loved how they enjoyed the stage in this video! Especially when they started their dance, albeit not in sync, at around the 4:55 mark! Saw how most audiences are holding their devices to record and it totally did not sit well with me. But that is another story to tell ☺️

          Dang! My island flowers are the Cosmos. Have you upgraded and obtained Nook’s Cranny yet? They do sell seeds on a rotating basis. Alternatively, Leif should be visiting once every 2 weeks.

          I don’t mind adding you as friends! We can play together and exchange stuffs. But how should we do it? I reckon we would need to have some form of communication between us so that we know what’s going on our islands (e.g. shooting stars, Celeste, villagers crafting DIYs, etc)

      I initially placed my blue roses somewhere else, relocated them specially just for this! I want to create an area for It’s Okay To Not Be Okay actually, but I don’t know where I should do it, kinda lack the space for a proper kdrama theme, unless I throw all my currently useless flowers away.

      Trust me, I’m breeding them myself too! I wanna try it myself since the blue roses in the picture was a gift from a friend! Currently trying the 4-step method, no good news yet unfortunately!

‪Omg so I managed to pull through Moorim School in the end. While I’ve been complaining how difficult is it to finish every episode, I did! The plot is okay actually, the flaw came from the execution. Cringey lines, I felt the feud between the two male leads immature, largely on Chi Ang’s part. But I would also like to take a moment to appreciate Lee Hyun Woo. Never watched much of his works except the two IU’s music video he is in, he makes me swoon when he smiles! Also I can’t pick out my favourite scene in the drama, none of them stands out, maybe the ending how they tied the loose ends nicely and we got some sweet scenes of Soon Duk and Shi Woo. ‬

      Yeah I saw the news after I completed it. Thing is, even if they didn’t cut it short, I would have felt the same way as Chi Ang. Couldn’t tell it was cut short though, on hindsight, they probably rushed for the revelation between the siblings and their dad, we didn’t see them catching up for the time lost or any interactions, except for the one with Sun Ah at the end

          I’m at Moorim School, I dropped this while it was still airing, but still a pain to watch this. Paused halfway and went to watch Quantum Physics, her 2019 movie instead.

          Would really do a rewatch with my mum, she’s like your sis, haven’t started. But she usually watched it on her personal device :/

            Moorim school was *smh* I watched it for Lee Hyun Woo and actually held out because ‘it was so bad it was good’.
            Can’t wait to finish my assignments and start the rewatch party. My sister will cry buckets (I’m not a crier) and hen I’ll get to tease her.

            @playstore I usually watch drama in whole on my first watch. But Moorim School… the drags and FF became my favourite button. It was a cringefest… the acting, the writing, the camerawork….

    Okay i just finished the episode, I don’t think Do Hyun Soo killed the person who tipped to the reporter. Felt like the killer is the real copycat killer, who probably knew the social worker too. Hee Sung probably fed his wife the sleeping pills so that he could pay attention to the reporter. OR he didn’t feed sleeping pills to his wife at all! He got those pills to use it on the reporter.

While waiting for a new ep of IOTNBO and LJK’s new drama, I’m rewatching Lawless Lawyer. Ep 6 still remains as my favourite ep. That awkward scene the night after the kiss tops it all.

      I remember I caught up on this show the moment I saw a kiss and bed scene at ep 6 – faster than a normal kdrama tempo. These two are like my sweet getaway from the torture and melo Scarlet Heart brought me to. Love the scenes where they portrayed their affection!

Every time I’m back at DB meant I’ve a new show I crave for. Just started IOTNBO (not sure the correct acronym) this week, just finished ep 6, and I’m deep deep down the hole!

    The feels when Moon Young looked at Gang Tae when he served breakfast. It felt like when the two were together, they were kids again – Moon Young going through her childhood nightmare/trauma and Gang Tae being utterly exposed by MY as a child who grew up too quickly to care for his older brother in the absence of their mother.

    I’ve loved Seo Ye Ji in Lawless Lawyer, and even more so in IOTNBO. Couldn’t think of the perfect person to carry MY’s vibe, paired with her unique voice.

    Next, I too believed Juri’s character was really flat – a combination of bad writing and lack of acting experience. One who worked in a psychiatric hospital for so long would have known that even the most normal person would definitely faced some kind of psychiatric issues (I would say it’s really common even more people amongst us), and she knew MY when they were kids. I’m pretty sure she would know that she lost her mother and had weird behaviours since young. One would think that with her experience as a nurse, she would have more empathy towards others. But looking at how she thinks of MY, that is definitely not the case.

    I love everything about this show, the two leads, the dark fairy tales that conveyed something on a deeper level, the friendship between GT and Jae Su, the back stories for our leads, just not Juri’s arc. She’s utterly childish right from the start and it annoys me.

    That being said, I’m still hooked nonetheless. MY is totally raw in front of GT. The emotions towards the end of ep 6 when she had her nightmare and grabbed GT was so intense. How GT got her message to not leave. Ugh. I can’t wait for the next weekend!
