On a sad note, depression is really a very difficult illness to encounter. And only the people who are going through with it probably will know how it actually feels. I do not wish for anyone to understand how painful it must be. I am praying that Park Yong Ha is now at peace and not hurting anymore.
Each of us has our own struggles in life, we have our own demons to face and we have our own problems. Each may be different in complexity, gravity and circumstances, but I am a believer that suicide should not be an option for anybody as an answer to their problem. It is not an answer but a momentarily escape to oblivion, before we face our judgement of how we lived our lives here on earth. I respect everybody’s faith does not really resemble my own or reciprocate these thoughts that I have. At least let me share this to you all.
I'm trying to watch Personal Taste but it's just not clicking for me. I adore the scenes with Dobin though and secretly wished Jinho was really gay so they could be together. So I'm slowly going through this drama just for Dobin. Sigh.
Am so excited for My Girlfriend is a Gumiho! Haha, might pick up on Coffee House. We'll see. I think a Kim Sam Soon marathon is in order. No one can make me happier besides the Sam family. <3
After that rant two weeks ago about how boring soccer is, it only took me 24 hours to get completely hooked. I dunno what magic happened overnight but now I really enjoy the sport lol.
As for Brazil's loss today, they fought till the end but I'm glad Netherlands won. It's refreshing to see other teams getting to go through once in a while.

It still doesn't numb me receiving tragic news of celeb suicides. Oh how sad it is knowing where was all the love when someone is alive rather than when passover? Same ideal raptures MJ's legacy; how numb can I be receiving news Michael Jackson is now #1 wealthiest dead celeb grossing new revenues in his trust?
Anyways, I'll be enjoying my ID4 w/ family and friends. I bought some firework sparklers (wire) online, and will have more fun w/ those than the bamboo kind 'cos the wire ones last longer. ^___^ v
I am not familiar with PYH work, but I can't help but feel sad for him because I relate on a personal level. My family moved to the US when I was 13. I went to one semester of ninth grade and then we moved to a new town 6 months later. Coming from Africa, moving to the US is ofcourse a huge dream, but it was sooo difficult for me. there were so many adjustments, combined with all the hormonal changes of puberty that I got really depressed for about a year and a half. I remember a few times thinking about taking pills so I wouldn't wake up the next day... But thankfully my story has a happy ending. I finally opened up to my boyfriend at the time and most importantly I learned to trust and believe in God again, and that's really what saved me. Since then as Ive grown in knowing God and Jesus Ive become one of the happiest and hopeful people you'll ever meet. To the point that nobody I know other than my ex would believe this story.
All this to say , everybody has their own demons and struggles, even the ones living a dream, and it's so important to have someone who sees you as you are and doesn't put expectations or make assptions about you because of how or what you are..
Anyways I just wanted to share my story , maybe it will help someone.

Still reeling from the sad news about Park Yong Ha. Even though I haven't seen many of his dramas, and mostly liked him in the Lotte ad... he had such a lovely smile, and I was really looking forward to the new drama coming up.
But Brazil is out and the Netherlands won. I am backing SPAIN for the final (from the outset). I don't know how I'm going to cope once the Cup is over and I go back to life without football every day--these last two days without games felt very strange.
Belated Happy Canada Day (yesterday) to everyone. Have a great weekend.
Too bad about Airbender. My husband really pushed for me to watch the cartoons, and they were really great. It's Nickelodeon's highest rated cartoon for a reason. But I had a feeling that M.Night Sham-a-whatever would ruin it.
i feel so very badly for park yong ha even though i've not seen any of his work....i was planning to watch the serial with him and YEH though....sigh.....ppl go thru sooo much shit and nobody knows....i saw a clip of his of body being taken away for burial....its just abt one of the worst things i've seen in a really long time....the wailing fans....all his friends crying..... it was just too much to handle....i really hope he is in a better place now where ever that might be RIP...
makes me wonder about survival in the entertainment industry as such....i guess if u dont have a big enuff ego or a really good support system its just not a place for u to be in...it just eats you up and spits you out....sometimes i feel cynical enuff to think when a star complains that the media stalks them or like kristin stewart put it rapes them...im like duh hello you pretty much get paid millions and this is the price u pay for it honey hazards of the job and u know it so dont complain so much it comes with the territory so be an adult and deal with what u know u signed up for....but when i hear abt ppl like park yong ha i feel terrible really hope someday there will be middle ground sigh.....

In other news, I finally broke and bought the Director's Cut of Tamra. After seeing the DB contest for YB's Director's Cut, I realized how much I wanted Tamra. i need those other 4 eppies dammit!! hehe... so now I'm patiently waiting for that to arrive so I can hole up in my cave and marathon it.

Same here felt really bad about Park Yong-ha's death...my heart hurts for his family and friends, especially So Ji-sub which I really salute for his loyalty and may God give him the strength to over come this tragedy...same here I think I haven't watch any K-drama this week because of what happened :(
Eclipse premiered this week as well but I haven't seen it yet but I've heard good reviews about it :) hopefully I can watch it within the coming week :)
Really Happy for the Netherlands team, brilliantly played. They found the Brazil weak points and used it nicely. Sad for Brazil, they were not calm enough to control the ball during the second half.

this week has been full of surprises, both good and not so good.
1. the death of park yong-ha continues to make me sad. so sad in fact that i've taken to rewatching On Air & A Man's Story. i pray that he is at a happier place as well, i pray for his family that he has left behind.. may they find peace in their hearts.
2. brazil lost to netherlands - this surprised me much because i was hoping that spain and brazil will play at finals.
3. coffee house - i am unexpectedly surprise by it! i know i'm jumping in late in the game, but i am happy to have picked up watching it and now look forward to the rest of the episodes.

You see, in my spare time at work this week I've had to fight back the urge to poorly Photoshop stupid stuff on those Song Joong-ki dog movie pictures. ...I almost won that fight. Almost. Oh dear OT. Do you like dogs? Do you like Joong-ki? Do you like throwing away your money? Then it's time we invested in sequels:
If it's not 4th of July where you are/or you have no idea what that is, it doesn't matter. Go buy yourself a mattress, eat food and light stuff on fire. It's summer; go crazy. I told you it was okay.
i'm glad to see that others are still processing PYH's death here. i'm still thinking of him. LOVED him in 'story of a man' and he was the one i could stand watching in 'on air'. he seemed like an accessible male lead--still easy on the eyes but one i could talk to if that makes any sense.
i watched a few videos of his funeral procession and that was hard to take. a lot of crying and pain on those clips. i've wondered a lot about the 'why' of the whole thing and i guess it has to do with perspective. ie, he could only see what was ugly and hopeless in this world--his father's pain, his own when he worked, etc. his illness prevented him from knowing the pleasure his art brought others in the world and countless other beautiful things. so for me the tragedy is that he suffered so long like that. i'm not advocating suicide--just trying to find a way to understand it.
i started watching 'giant' this week. its slow-going for me. i want to slap several (ok, all) of the characters. can't wait until CH and 'bad guy' are back next week.
Yeah, I don't know if I want to watch it at all. LOL. Hopefully Grown Ups is better? I heard it was entertaining.

I went to the midnight premiere of Eclipse! (Crazy decision, of course. The fan girls scared me.) I liked it. I mean I can't take the series seriously but it was a cute movie. Jacob is SO FINE in this. *drools*

Have you watched What's Up Fox? That was a good and light-hearted drama.
I saw air bender. The fight scenes were amazing and worth the price of admission if you were a fan on the cartoon. If not, you will suffer through every bit of exposition. They shoehorned an entire season(12+hrs) into one movie. Normally I would be happy they tried to include everything, however they gave up trying to act(except for the lovable tea drinking uncle) and just gave as much information to the audience as possible so the fight scenes would make sense. Honestly if you miss one spec of dialog, those that never heard of or saw the TV show would be lost at the movies. Also they made it less violent for the PG rating. Ang is MUCH much less violent. His avatar state in the show is dangerous and scary until he controls it. The movie goes in a different direction with it. Also the spirit realm is seriously simplified.
On a positive note, if you have any affection for the show is it exciting to see all the characters come to life. Casting, costume, and production design deserve awards for this.

Yeahh, I heard it was hilarious! & as for Avatar, I'm gonna probably wait until it comes out on television, HAHA, but who knows when that'll be. x)
i've not watched the animated version....jus read abt it is all....neither have i watched the movie...so dont know abt the pronunciation and such.....but i did read in the passing tht the director knight m shyamalan did have previous knowledge abt the franchise and thought u should know abt tht :)
now tht i've got my fix of CH after two whole weeks i dont know if im happy or not with things as they stand.....i can see why jin soo acts the way he does, pushing ppl away and all...self preservation at its best i think....but the drama is losing its happy tenor and starting to lean soooo much more towards angst....and i looooved the wackiness even though i once did complain tht the drama was being wacky for the sake of it.....serves me right to have dissed the wack :( im just afraid if the characters will not get a happy ending....
as far as shipping goes....since the tilt is soo much more towards ey/js, i dont see how in 6 eps it could tilt the other way...unless psy does indeed finds filming too hard to handle ( i dont blame her at all....poor poor baby :( ) and they change the script to suit her exit.....it will then feel very short changed for me....the logical thing if this were to happen would be for all the characters to go their separate ways.....not for sy/js to land up together.....thats what i think anyway....but then the writer seems to be a smart cookie...he could out fox us all and gasp kill everyone off?!?! ooh they are going to get a very nasty letter cursing them in 4 diff languages from one angry lil phaen!

makes me wonder about survival in the entertainment industry as such....i guess if u dont have a big enuff ego or a really good support system its just not a place for u to be in...it just eats you up and spits you out....sometimes i feel cynical enuff to think when a star complains that the media stalks them or like kristin stewart put it rapes them...im like duh hello you pretty much get paid millions and this is the price u pay for it honey hazards of the job and u know it so dont complain so much it comes with the territory so be an adult and deal with what u know u signed up for....but when i hear abt ppl like park yong ha i feel terrible really hope someday there will be middle ground sigh.....

Happy Friday and Happy 4th of July!! (well, to all the OTers in the US anyway hehe). Loving this weekend extra much cuz my work gave us both Friday AND Monday off.. i adore 4-day weekends. Heading out to Palm Desert in a few hours to catch some (really hot) sun for a few days. :)
I read that Into the Fire will be playing in the LA area at the end of this month. I don't care if there are no subs or subbed in pig latin, I am so there. SO. THERE. Must see MY Tabi on the big screen.
In other news, I finally broke and bought the Director's Cut of Tamra. After seeing the DB contest for YB's Director's Cut, I realized how much I wanted Tamra. i need those other 4 eppies dammit!! hehe... so now I'm patiently waiting for that to arrive so I can hole up in my cave and marathon it.
@ twin - have fun at the waterpark! go on ALL the rides hehe :P
and of course... RIP PYH - hope you finally found the peace you were looking for :(

I, too, still can't get over Park Yong Ha's death. It's just so tragic... Rest in peace, Park Yong Ha ssi.
It's been a sad month for me, guess I need to distract myself with happier things before I get stuck in the moody depths. Have a good weekend everyone.

Just left my current work this week to search for a better opportunity and to get tons of rest as well which I felt I needed after working continuously for the past couple of years. Hopefully I can find a job that I really want and enjoy as well...
Same here felt really bad about Park Yong-ha's death...my heart hurts for his family and friends, especially So Ji-sub which I really salute for his loyalty and may God give him the strength to over come this tragedy...same here I think I haven't watch any K-drama this week because of what happened :(
Eclipse premiered this week as well but I haven't seen it yet but I've heard good reviews about it :) hopefully I can watch it within the coming week :)

Really Happy for the Netherlands team, brilliantly played. They found the Brazil weak points and used it nicely. Sad for Brazil, they were not calm enough to control the ball during the second half.

I'm finding it so hard to move on ):
I just can't believe Park Yong Ha is gone..
It's like someone just pulled a prank on me :\
I was watching Coffee House to cheer up, but seeing Park Shi Yeon just makes me want to cry more D:
either way, I hope she pulls through and finishes Coffee House.
I heard they only have 12 episodes filmed... so there's no saying what will happen.
&& for Avatar, I've been wanting to see it, but I've heard so many bad things about it.
The cartoon was definitely amazing, but can you believe they couldn't even PRONOUNCE the names correctly?! I wonder if the actors AND director ever watched the cartoon version...

Ditto. My aunt suggest I watch 'The Hurt Locker' and I did, awesome film. James is such a wild card; no one can tame a stallion. Gives me one more reason why I truly appreciate such great heroes and their sacrificing families.

this week has been full of surprises, both good and not so good.
1. the death of park yong-ha continues to make me sad. so sad in fact that i've taken to rewatching On Air & A Man's Story. i pray that he is at a happier place as well, i pray for his family that he has left behind.. may they find peace in their hearts.
2. brazil lost to netherlands - this surprised me much because i was hoping that spain and brazil will play at finals.
3. coffee house - i am unexpectedly surprise by it! i know i'm jumping in late in the game, but i am happy to have picked up watching it and now look forward to the rest of the episodes.
belated fete du Canada! and happy 4th of July to all my American friends!!

I have off today and Monday! woo. I was all like "I'm going to be first on the OT. I will".... and then I went out for an hour to shop and look what happened. Noooo.
This week has been.... yeah. Out of curiosity last year I looked at funeral photos. This time? No. I just won't. I still can't even compute it.
.....So I'm here to bring in the funny. Or try to.
You see, in my spare time at work this week I've had to fight back the urge to poorly Photoshop stupid stuff on those Song Joong-ki dog movie pictures. ...I almost won that fight. Almost. Oh dear OT. Do you like dogs? Do you like Joong-ki? Do you like throwing away your money? Then it's time we invested in sequels:

i'm glad to see that others are still processing PYH's death here. i'm still thinking of him. LOVED him in 'story of a man' and he was the one i could stand watching in 'on air'. he seemed like an accessible male lead--still easy on the eyes but one i could talk to if that makes any sense.
i watched a few videos of his funeral procession and that was hard to take. a lot of crying and pain on those clips. i've wondered a lot about the 'why' of the whole thing and i guess it has to do with perspective. ie, he could only see what was ugly and hopeless in this world--his father's pain, his own when he worked, etc. his illness prevented him from knowing the pleasure his art brought others in the world and countless other beautiful things. so for me the tragedy is that he suffered so long like that. i'm not advocating suicide--just trying to find a way to understand it.
i started watching 'giant' this week. its slow-going for me. i want to slap several (ok, all) of the characters. can't wait until CH and 'bad guy' are back next week.

I went to the midnight premiere of Eclipse! (Crazy decision, of course. The fan girls scared me.) I liked it. I mean I can't take the series seriously but it was a cute movie. Jacob is SO FINE in this. *drools*

I saw air bender. The fight scenes were amazing and worth the price of admission if you were a fan on the cartoon. If not, you will suffer through every bit of exposition. They shoehorned an entire season(12+hrs) into one movie. Normally I would be happy they tried to include everything, however they gave up trying to act(except for the lovable tea drinking uncle) and just gave as much information to the audience as possible so the fight scenes would make sense. Honestly if you miss one spec of dialog, those that never heard of or saw the TV show would be lost at the movies. Also they made it less violent for the PG rating. Ang is MUCH much less violent. His avatar state in the show is dangerous and scary until he controls it. The movie goes in a different direction with it. Also the spirit realm is seriously simplified.
On a positive note, if you have any affection for the show is it exciting to see all the characters come to life. Casting, costume, and production design deserve awards for this.

i've not watched the animated version....jus read abt it is all....neither have i watched the movie...so dont know abt the pronunciation and such.....but i did read in the passing tht the director knight m shyamalan did have previous knowledge abt the franchise and thought u should know abt tht :)
now tht i've got my fix of CH after two whole weeks i dont know if im happy or not with things as they stand.....i can see why jin soo acts the way he does, pushing ppl away and all...self preservation at its best i think....but the drama is losing its happy tenor and starting to lean soooo much more towards angst....and i looooved the wackiness even though i once did complain tht the drama was being wacky for the sake of it.....serves me right to have dissed the wack :( im just afraid if the characters will not get a happy ending....
as far as shipping goes....since the tilt is soo much more towards ey/js, i dont see how in 6 eps it could tilt the other way...unless psy does indeed finds filming too hard to handle ( i dont blame her at all....poor poor baby :( ) and they change the script to suit her exit.....it will then feel very short changed for me....the logical thing if this were to happen would be for all the characters to go their separate ways.....not for sy/js to land up together.....thats what i think anyway....but then the writer seems to be a smart cookie...he could out fox us all and gasp kill everyone off?!?! ooh they are going to get a very nasty letter cursing them in 4 diff languages from one angry lil phaen!
