Master’s Sun preempts Wednesday episode for holiday

Just a heads up: There’ll be no Master’s Sun this Wednesday. Boo. Hiss. After much, MUCH vacillation, SBS has finally(?) decided to preempt Wednesday’s episode of in favor of Chuseok programming. Which is understandable, since Chuseok (which falls on Thursday) is one of the biggest holidays in Korea, and regularly scheduled television programming during that week is often pushed in favor of specials and movies.
It would sting a little less if SBS hadn’t been so wishy-washy for weeks deciding what to do with Master’s Sun, which was maybe getting an extension, then no definitely NOT getting an extension, then still talking about extensions, and NOT preempting, and then preempting after all. The show set to follow, Heirs, had originally planned for an October 2 premiere but pushed that back to October 9 in the past week or two. SBS stated that it could slot in a short drama special for a week, back when they were saying Master wasn’t getting extended.
Master’s Sun will air Episode 13 on Thursday, and will not air 14 this week. That puts the show off pattern for the rest of its run, prompting the question of whether SBS will extend by one more episode so the final week gets two full hours. Huh, what a handy way to get an extra episode out of a show that wasn’t going to give it, I’m just sayin’. Over on MBC, Two Weeks will air both episodes as scheduled. KBS will be airing Chuseok specials this week, and new melodrama Secret premieres next week.
The Master’s Sun preemption is particularly frustrating given that last week’s Episode 12 cliffhanger was a heckuva nail-biter — what a terrible way to leave us hanging. Feel free to vent, but an earnest plea: NO SPOILERS! That includes Episode 13 preview talk, though spoiler-free speculation is fair game. Don’t make me go over there.

To me, the only way I'd be satisfied with their separation' is not amnesia but (ack hate to say this) coma. Let them stay as 1 human and 1 spirit for a while (and hopefully have a frank conversation). Maybe after gaining some valuable info (like JW tracks HJ and finds Hanna! - make use of his ghostly abilities man!!), then he goes back to his body like the hotel ajumma.
Or maybe the writers will subvert and leave out a separation entirely? But I think not.
Anyhow, I've never guessed anything correctly before.

oh and for the wait, I watched Secretly Greatly from Gooddrama, and another Park Ki Woong short though he wasn´t the main actor there

The Master's Sun Facebook page is reporting the last episode will be a making of Master's Sun special as opposed to a plot extension. However, I don't know their source.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO :( I suppose that means they extend by one ep, which I am a touch nervous about - I heard SBS confirmed that they were airing ep 16-17 on the 2nd and 3rd of October.

The news that came out earlier stated that the script came out a day late, and throw in the factors of the holiday and the time needed to film, they've decided to just air one episode. Which is fine by me, because it's better than not having anything.
And also I have something on on Wednesday night; I'm not going to miss anything with the new programming XD
GHJ updated her instagram and she just looks beat! I'm glad they would at least some modicum of rest >.<

I'm vehemently against an extension, and as for only having one episode this week, I can suck it up. I legitimately thought there wouldn't be ANY Master's Sun episodes airing this week, so having one is better than none at all!

Here's my prescription:
Pick one of those favorite dramas you've seen before. Set up some drinks and snacks. Have a blankie to cuddle with if it is coolish Fall weather where you are. Sit down and marathon thru it. Feel all the love, tears, and laughter again.
I just did that with "Nobunaga no Chef" for my 9 episode dose of Ken/Yuta. I feel better already, strong enough to wait one more day.

It took so long for Wednesday to come around and now this.:'(
On the bright side, I'm glad the cast will have an extra week to film the final episode since the filming schedule of The Master's Sun has seemed really tight thus far, but I hate how the two episode a week momentum has been thrown off. Personally I am torn about the extra episode, because as much as I'd like to see another hour of Joogun + Taeyang interactions, I think at this point, a sudden extra episode would be more damaging than beneficial to the drama.

SBS should just move the Chuseok show late night... Like MIDNIGHT! They shouldnt be pre-empting the scheduled show!

urrrrrrrrrrrrgggghhhh.....my work concentration has been disturbed badly by the ending of episode 12 and now no TMs for Wednesday....ohohoohooo..another holed concentration tomorrow...i've never been more anticipated for a drama since Secret Garden...TMS virus is settling deep in my heart rite now....sooo ep 13 better be the effective venom for my virus. ..SJS &GHY are simply brilliant with their refreshing yet oozing chemistry...damn....the next KISS better be good not just the pecking of lips....urrrghh...

This sucks! It looks like the earliest episode 13 may be up and translated would be Thursday afternoon on viki (I hope, I hope, I hope) but, since I don't understand Korean, I am at the mercy of those kind, benevolent souls who do offer their time. I keep checking what time it is in Seoul - sigh.

Dont necessarily know how i feel about an extension really. I just feel like one hand, yes, it may mean better things for us as far as what the future holds after last episode, but it also means there's more time to think up something to put into an extra hr's episode, thus leaving a whole hour to possibly turn our minds and emotions inside out before the end of the show. I will stop speculating before i re-open the raw wound of episode 12's ending while i'm still trying to recuperate, but this update is NAPPEUN!!!!!!!!!! NOT HELPING!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, this is a fantastic drama, and I'm loving it, but I think it could've been fewer episodes, like 10. But then I like tight writing.

I'd be happy if episode 17 was just a happy happy postscript with lots of cuteness and jokes and behind the scenes stuff. Maybe a wedding where ghosts try to crash the event, but then just party down at the reception instead.

I usually watch the Korean raw version ( though I don't know korean well, I am learning).
Yesterday I thought I need to work on my studies and I decided that I'd wake up in the morning and then watch it with subs... And what a reward... NO episode today...
I feel like going back and sleeping on my bed... I woke up at 5am :/ ...........
