More stills from the set of Heirs

More Heirs, comin’ at ya. I can’t tell if this show is afraid we might forget about it if we go a day without news updates, or if the cast is just so freaking huge that this is the only way to get through them all. Just wake me up when it’s Choi Jin-hyuk’s turn, yeah? Here’s a peek at the supporting cast of friends and frenemies, along with Lee Min-ho and Park Shin-hye’s first onscreen meeting. Hey, at least we know they won’t be skimping on the skinship.

The pair shot their first meeting in LA, where he’s studying abroad and she’s visiting family. Coincidence brings them together for a night despite their vast social chasm (he has money; she does not), and it seems to involve a hospital visit. I sincerely hope their meet-cute isn’t that he hits her with his car or something. Eep. Krystal (High Kick 3) co-stars as heiress to an entertainment fortune, who also has a past with Lee Min-ho’s character.

Kang Min-hyuk (You’ve Fallen For Me) plays Park Shin-hye’s friend, which puts him on the poor side of things, because I don’t think there’s a happy medium in this world of the uber-rich. They were cute as friends in You’ve Fallen For Me, so I envision more of the same. Kim Ji-won (Anticipate Love, To the Beautiful You) plays an heiress to a hotel group, and it looks like she’ll be reprising her cold haughty character type, which is too bad. I know, somebody’s gotta play her, but I miss High Kick 3′s quirky thoughtful Kim Ji-won.

Heirs comes from Secret Garden writer Kim Eun-sook and Midas PD Kang Shin-hyo. The 20-episode high school rom-com will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and premieres October 9 on SBS.

I have a question, has a kdrama ever filmed so extensively in the states like this before? I usually just hear them refer to someone studying in the states. It's really cool to see actual Americans (and non-whites who I hope they actually interact with but would not be surprised if they don't *sigh*).

Also PSH needs to wipe that deer in the headlights look from her acting notebook. Please.

Meh. As a LMH fan, I could not WAIT for his next project especially after my let down with Faith...but seriously, a HIGH SCHOOL drama, I can not be the only one that finds he is a lil too old for this now? I want something sort of like Personal Taste meets City Hunter meets Faith. Just that. lol.

THIS. I am still disgusted that after a bit of disappointment/difficulty with Faith, he went running back to his comfort zone. So far, I am thinking his best work was in City Hunter. I just don't see how a fluffy idol-packed chaebol-driven fanfic-on-steroids - which is what Heirs appears to be - is going to stretch his acting range in any way, shape or form. I wouldn't be surprised if his Toyota commercials ended up having more intricate characterizations (good twin! evil twin! complicated dashboard!).

LOL. Totally agree. I'm hoping this Drama won't be as ridic as BOF ( I had serious issues with the protagonist) And all this hype! Blah...Ugh... what will I have to look forward to after Master's Sun is done??

My message to all the worried fans of LMH is have some faith in your boy. He made good with the worst of materials in BOF and came out on top. (I can't speak on Faith b/c I contend the fusion sageuk was a black hole in the first place.) But with this ensemble there are so many things that can save this show if it gets off track. I'm willing for the writer to give up plot and have this group do high kicks in a rockettes line. I'd still watch, they are soooo pretty.

PSH is steadily able to react properly to male led chemistry. She couldn't resist the pull of Yoon Si Yoon and she definitely won't be able to resist LMH.

Current chemistry guarantee you shouldn't doubt in Asian drama in no particular order: Joe Cheng, Oguri Shun, Eita, Yoon Eun Hye, Lee Min Ho, Yoon Shi Yoon, Kim Sun Ah, Jung Il Woo, and Ji Sung. They can act with a cardboard cut out ( I think Ji Sung actually did in one scene of Protect the Boss) and set the screen on fire. Everyone Cool your jets!

A very good list indeed; it's just a shame how few females are on it. I wish writers/PDs would realize times have changed and people are ready to see a female who at least responds and seems to enjoy what's happening, and that some more actresses would step up to the plate. It's not just PSH, although I really wish LMH had a lead female who could match his intensity; there's plenty of other actresses who just fail when it comes to portraying any sort of sexual tension.

I can't wait for Oct 9th to see the Inheritors' premier!!!

omo...i just love Park Shin Hye and she does get all the flower boys on every series she's in and cf she does...

so even if Master's Sun is airing an extra episode, Heirs will still be on time to premier on the 9th

they're currently filming here in California and i wish i didn't have work so i can at least take a peek at them...

So glad that they aren't wandering around LA in super fancy clothes. That would be SO out of place. Even the wealthiest people here dress casually most of the time. I feel bad for them because it has been SO Hot in SoCal lately, and they have had to film in it. Poor things!

PSH is the most wholesome Korean actress I have ever seen and the prettiest one without the help of scalpels(plastic surgery.
This girl can act too---very impressive artist. She will go a long way as far as her career is concerned.
Hopefully though she would give us a better kiss this time.
Hoooray PSH I and my fiends like you so much.
Just don't let fame get into your head and stay sweet.

PSH with Long Hair! Amen. I hated her in You're Beautiful because of her ridiculous hair style. She is beautiful. I skipped a lot of Korean Dramas just because I couldn't stand some bad hairstyles on girls. Hair Fetish!
Girls look good with at least shoulder length hair. Period.
BTW I'm a girl.

I wish that PSH would be judged according to each role played by her rather than what people expect her to be like. She is wonderful actress with very expressive eyes.
She selects the roles according to what she wants at this stage. She did say in one of her interviews about wanting to play the roles that won't be available as she grows older. She is only 23 and will have lots of time playing characters with depth and variety. She will also be able to do justice to them. Having played a much older character in Kimcheed radish cube......she did feel her limitations in portraying it in the way she wanted because of her very young age at the time.
I firmly believe that all doubts about her acting abilities will be laid to rest in the nearby future.
