Well, it is the opportunity to go on an ALL LIQUID diet!! Woo-hoo! I was so miserable I lost 5-10 lbs.

But only for a week; mouths heal fast. You would know this because you're practically a medical student.

OH EM GEE!!!! Viola Darling!

I have to ditto Jomo the Wise---I also lost weight when I had my 2 pulled out. It took more than a week to heal, tho, b/c of the funky way they were in. It was more surgery than extraction

Anywho! It's over now, darling, and you will be fine. Keep up with the antibiotics, do any rinses they tell you, enjoy some liquid yogurts (do they still sell those) and avoid real soup spoons. The bowls are way too deep.

hi Viola,

I know how you feel :-(

I did the same thing. The dentist recommended me to take out two first and then the rest after I have healed the wounds on the first two. Unfortunately, I learnt about the wisdom teeth condition only one week before I had to go abroad for studies. So I ended up taking all four out in one shot.

Well, the bright side was I was 'entitled" to eat ice-cream all day without feeling guilty. ha, ha !

I recently re-watched Sungkyunkwan Scandal, and for some reason, I don't think Sun Joon gets as much love as the other characters on there. Even if Yong Ha is my favorite character, I just wanted to just state why Sun Joon is my close second.

Sun Joon may seem like the emotionless, calm (i.e., boring) character at first glance (in fact, after the 1st episode, I thought he was headed this way). But as the series progressed, I found this character to be just so much more. Firstly, I liked how he kept pushing Yoon Hee to see more in her potential - she was fine to relegate herself to her current lowly life, but he (thinking he was a boy) kept pushing her to recognize her smarts and do something about them (e.g., pushing her during the archery saying she can do it, which she eventually did). He literally helped made her become the strong person she became at the end. Secondly, I like how he usually uses his smarts and not his fists to solve problems (e.g., when he told the gang what they had to do to prove Yoon Hee's innocence in her supposed crime). The big moment was the point here he used his smarts to save Yoon Hee and Jae Shin during that court-like session when In Soo wanted to expose the Red bandit - not only did he save both of them, he turned the whole thing against In Soo! Such a cool moment. Then when Sun Joon found out Yoon Hee was a girl, at first he acted the stereotypical "girls should not be here, you have to leave to protect yourself" - but then he allowed Yoon Hee to prove that she really "belongs" here with her smarts, which he was impressed by. I also want to commend Yoochun on his performance. In a lot of other dramas, the actors portraying these kinds of characters just seem bored and like they're just saying their lines. But, not sure how to explain this well, when Yoochun says his lines, even if they're pretty "non-emotional", it feels he has some purpose behind saying the lines - you can see if in his direct eyes and the tone of his voice. IMO, he portrayed this character perfectly.

Oops, darn, this was long..

I'm still new to this site... is open thread where you can just post about anything?

I wanted an opinion on the various websites that have k-dramas available. If multiple sites have the same drama available, dramafever, viki or kimchidrama per say... is one site better in terms of subs, etc?

Thanks!

Required fields are marked *

There is a lot of cross pollination between all the sites.

Dramafever, for example, uses subs from WithS2, viki, darksmurf, whomever is available.

I personally like the WithS2 subs the best- they seem to capture more of the meaning behind the words, but that isn't always true. Each series at each site is subbed by different teams of real live people with names and lives. It's kinda cool that way.

Viki, at least in the past, has the slowest streaming.
I like Dfever because I paid or the yearly membership and like watching without ads popping up all over the place.

I don't know about kimchidrama.
Mysoju -has a lot but annoying ads and broken up series.

I also like Jacinda for the way it is laid out.

Welcome to the family! Hope you like it here.

*Ten Years After*

September 2001, I was living in beautiful San Jose CA, I was waiting for my 39h birthday to come around on September 13, but September 11 felt just like any other day, I was working with a friend, he had his wood working shop under the basement of his house, I was getting ready to start working when all of a sudden all hell broke loose, and that day will come to be known, as the “day that change history.”

As we sat down and watch the Twin Towers burning and the subsequent collapse, I knew in my heart that what we have just witness will have far reaching consequences, than capturing the persons who brought this calamity upon the American landscape.

I do not think that there is one single incident in world history that has created more “Conspiracy Theory's,” than that of 9/11.

The questions remain the same:
1- How a hand full of Arab nationals where able to pull this off, without nobody detecting their plan?
2- European and Middle East intelligence claim that they warn the US ahead of time about the attacks.
3-WTC # 7, was never hit but it collapse at the end of the day.
4- Why when the US government impose a no flight zone all over the US, soon after the attacks, the remaining family of Usama Bin Laden, and various member of the Saudi Royal Family, where allowed to live the country hours after the attacks?

There are thousands of questions that have gone
unanswered , and will remain unanswered , the accounts of the people who experience this tragedy, contradicts what the official government account has given to us.

I do not know what to say, other than to take sides with the consensus that the US government is not telling the whole truth, and at the end of the day all roads point to a chilling reality, that the 9/11 tragedy was an “Inside Job.”

I grew up in a third world country, Mexico is renown for its abuse of power against its citizens. People in Europe, the Middle East, and South East Asia, are very familiar with the fact that their governments (aided by the CIA) more than once have “Manufacture,” crisis around the world in order to keep their citizens in bondage.

So at the end of the day, the question remains the same:
Is the government of the United States, capable of turning against its own citizen's in order to keep then in bondage?
And my friends the consensus from a great number of Americans, and people all over the world is “Yes.”

I think the question is much simpler than that; Are we as national and global society better of now, than before 9/11? I am afraid to say no.

But that discussion should be left for another day.......

I hope and pray that in the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, we may remember the fallen, and as individuals we may question the works of our government, and do what we can to keep them accountable.

My love, and respect goes to the families that suffer a casualty, on 9/11.... And may God Bless the USA.....

The mom of a friend died in the Pentagon. I will always remember when my Dad woke me up (I was in CA) to tell me to turn on the TV. I turned it on just in time to see the 2nd plane fly in. The week before, my sister had been in NYC on vacation and been to the top of the WTC. It really effected her....she said she kept seeing the faces of the workers that she saw there.

Maybe I"m naive, but I refuse to believe our government had anything to do with it. Other than possibly negligence on the part of the Intelligence department.

My heart also goes out to my friend's family and the other families who lost someone that day.

Since this is open thread, can I just say I HATE trying to explain grammar!!! I homeschool my 9th grader, for a variety of reasons, and no matter how simple it seems to me, it just doesn't click for her. She reads constantly, writes fairly well but just can't diagram a sentence to save her life. Not that I think that's a terribly useful life skill unless you're an English teacher...but I have to get her through this grammar book this year. One or both of us are liable to be committed before it's over.

OK, I vented. Back to subjective complements and predicate nominatives.

I found that grammar made a lot more sense when I started learning a second language. I was forced to look at parts of speech and sentences from a new angle. Can you tempt her with the opportunty to teach English to a cute person of the opposite sex? Maybe by having to explain it (to a cute person) she will understand it better.

Good luck!
I really like teaching my kids stuff, even if I didn't home school.

Hey! I don't have kids (I'm only 20) but I have to say I definitely agree with Jomo. I think most native English speakers like myself learn the language from speaking and hearing it from birth and we never really think about the grammar so it's harder to learn. We just say sentences out loud and if they sound right we go with it without over analysing why it's right. It was only when I begun learning Spanish and about past perfect etc etc that I even knew the names of the grammar structures I'd been using. Plus the cute boy will help :D A cute boy ALWAYS helps!!

Required fields are marked *

I'm sure a cute boy would help, especially a certain cute boy that I know. However....she's a very YOUNG 14, so we don't push the boy thing too much, especially since I'm not allowing her to date until she's 16. I know, I"m a mean mom.

She is learning Italian (her dad speaks Italian) because we want to go to Italy when her big brother graduates from law school in 2014. (BIG party time, you know). I think it's helping some. One of my BFFs was also an English major, so she helps mine with English and I help her daughter with piano lessons.

Generally we have a good time with homeschool. And, we love the literature and creative writing part of English, it's just the required grammar part that makes us shudder.

And, NKB, I know what you mean about learning another language. I took Spanish in HS and college, and it helped with my grasp of grammar. Unfortunately, the spanish I remember was the spanish I learned from my latina classmates. I know just enough to get me into trouble and not quite enough to get back out, lol.

Haha, I hate having to explain it too. :D I work as an editor and part of my job is mentoring new writers... and having to explain to them that bad grammar cannot be saved by imaginative descriptions and long words. I end up diagramming sentences just to get the point through.

I guess drills help? Or studying with another student? It's what got me through my own high school English grammar. :D

Yeah, we may start an English grammar group with a couple of other homeschooled 9th graders we know.
We have a dad in our group that teaches English grammar at a language school here....he teaches English grammar before they go off to learn whatever language they came to learn...anyway, he's said that he'd be willing to tutor. He's a fun guy and the kids love him, so I think it might work out.

Been a crazy week and some wonderful friends from out of town visited. While I didn't get the chance to watch the dramas I want to watch, it was a nice break away from the computer, since I do computer-related work at work too and with the busy week, my back's stiff from barely moving any part of my body except for my wrist and fingers for hours at a time. I'm going to miss them. One of them is married and is already talking abt starting a family. I'm happy for her, but it is also sad to grow up, not see friends as much, and then what little moments you have with them dwindle as life and growing up takes over.

on the bright side, now I have today and the rest of my 3-day weekend to catch up on dramas and all the wonderful recaps here on dramabeans!!! This week's Protect the Boss looks amazing too!

I hate when "life" takes away my friends. I have to say I LOVE facebook. I can keep track of my zillion nieces and nephews, all of whom are wonderful of course. My military friends (I live in a town with a large military community) who all eventually leave for somewhere else, and reconnect with friends I thought I'd never see again.

The highlight was when I was reunited with two old college roomies. They both came for a three day weekend.....it was the first time we'd been together in nearly 20 years. It was like we'd never been apart. We had SO much fun. And bonus: our husbands like each other and our teenage girls are all BFF's now, too. Yay!

hmm.. kdrama 1st love confessions?! :-)i got mah own story to tell. i only get to watch kdramas when then local networks get them subbed and aired locally. and the earliest kdrama ive known would those seasonal kdramas, never my kind of thing with all those heavy drama and all so i passed. my attention was drawn when fullhouse and lovers in paris was aired. i loved them to death. with all the love-hate, bickering-cutesy moments i am hooked. then came along attic cat otherwise known as cat in the roof, i was introduced to how popular poor girl-strong character and rich boy-weak character is on most rom-com dramas. there was goong, delightful girl chun hyang, my name is kim sam soon, my girl, princess lulu, which star are you from and coffee prince. i skipped an awful lot of shows after that due to college but just recently i am trying to keep up. on top of list is my girlfriend is a gumiho that i absolutely adored. followed by secret garden which despite the laugh out loud moments gave me my first opportunity to shed tears for a drama (probably watching it alone helped! Lol) and lastly, scent of a woman, which justified why i cant watch heavy dramas because i am such a crybaby. i dont cry hard, i just sob quietly but deep inside, i can feel my heart bursting into tiny little pieces that no one, nothing can mend except if the drama ends well happily which unfortunately may not happen due to the lee yeon jae's cancer being terminal. watching episode 9 onwards will be with a heavy heart but my masochistic self wont stop. i'm hooked and stuck. you can never put a good drama down.

So much for the babbling (sorry!) To sum it up, i love rom-coms the most. I tend to skip heavy dramas and sageuks but i appreciate the genre sincerely. I am loyal to kim sun ah, lee dong wok, hyun bin, ha ji won, lee seung gi, yoon eun hye, kim rae won and kim jung eun. As for the others, i will love them too, given the chance :$.I want to try brilliant legacy, city hunter and you're beautiful and a whole lot of still airing dramas. Aw, i wanna watch kdramas some more. I envy you guys for being able to keep up watching.

Laya,

It's going well. I think that I had continual heat exhaustion though. Wee MJP and I played in the sprinkler yesterday and that was refreshing.

Today we went to the airshow. Great day for an airshow! This year was the USAF Thunderbirds. They do some risky stuff! It's always fun touring the planes, military equipment and helicopters. We stayed hydrated and brought our own shade umbrella. It was 96 degrees F.

What are you doing this weekend?

Haha, my weekend consisted of just doing my laundry and surfing the internet in between [soak, surf, scrub, rinse, soak in fabric conditioner, surf, hang out to dry and soak a new batch, go back to surfing, etc.] :D I'm waiting on my last batch, then maybe I'll take a stroll in the mall just two blocks away and go window shopping. Thankfully, after almost a month of rain, the sun's out today.

Hey Laya! Happy Weekend! *hugs*

I miss Tropical Hut too! Hmm... there's still that branch near Quezon Ave. :) Chicboy is good. I've tried their boneless bangus and... now I feel hungry. :P There's a branch near our office that's become one of the employees' fave places to eat.

It's good to have you back. Not b/c you're *the* samsooki, but b/c DB is our kdrama home, and the OT is where the DB family gather. So it's like our collective big brother/cousin/nephew was off to see the world (or let the world see him again, in the case of drama-addiction) but now he's back.

I was loving PTB up to 6. Now the writing seems weak. I wish they hadn't made MW do a complete double turn (was that due to viewers? Idk.)

It was like he literally said "I will wait for you" "Oh, oops, I'm not going to be here any more" back to back. There really isn't any reasoning behind his liking ES, especially since he confessed himself to loving NY. That is a big flaw and the way he won't let go of her after suddenly changing his feelings doesn't make sense either. It's lame, frankly.

I can understand why NY needed to let go of JH and have her time to get over the guilt and get closure, but there is not point to MW/ES and no real evidence behind it. It was like he suddenly woke up one day and was like "Oh, hey I'll go after this chick too". At first I thought it was to protect her from his mom, but now even that has no foundation.

I hope now that MW is starting to care about NY's blind dates and NY has finished her business with JH that they can get back on track. :)

According to the "history" section of the stats, the max.# of users online simultaneously was 54 in 2007, and 1490 in 2011 (so far). That's pretty impressive growth. I wonder how many millions of hits DB has gotten over the years.

I am watching Myung Wol and Wish upon a star (dramafever has another name for it).
But the reason I'm posting is I have some questions re: drama tropes vs Korean culture. Some of repeated things I've noticed and I can't figure out if they are just a trope with basically no basis in real life or if they reflect (to some extent) Korean culture.

Why does every hospital/sick room have a humidifier going full blast? Is it because it is supposed to be visually interesting, or because the air in Korea is really dry all year long.
Why do characters assume the hospital is the best place to be for a bad cold or a minor cut. going just to a doctor's office never seems to come up (granted most are at night), but even the ones in the day time.
Why is it if someone gets very wet they must get a bad cold? (and then must be taken to a hospital with a humidifier) This one is what gets me the most because even my mom has finally stopped telling me I would catch cold if I went out in the rain (or slept with wet hair). I just don't understand why they expect people to ignore viruses as causing colds and replace it with being rained on.

Those are the only ones I can think of that might have a basis in real life. This one is pure drama.
Why can't the nice guy ever get the girl? Why is it always the mean jerks who miraculously learn the power of love and start being nice at least sometimes. Why doesn't the woman ever say "drop dead. I would much rather be with ... since he treats me and other people as human beings"

Oh this is just funny to me because of cultural differences. In Greatest/Best Love when the mean woman (can't remember her name) goes to the acupuncturist doctor that she has a crush on and faints in his waiting room. He runs to her and says this line "Prepare her for acupuncture." All I could think of is "well that is one way to wake her up - poke her with sharp needles" (it apparently works)

It's always funny to see the young people in k-dramas admitted in hospital for minor stuff...and they usually seem to enjoy it. Sometimes they even have selective memory loss and forget exactly the loved once...

The rain is the most frequent/stupid excuse to catch a cold, I agree. I have yet to see a flu epidemic in k-dramaland! :D

*Protect The Boss, and who protects the Lady?*

The thing that I hate the most about American sitcoms, and Korean dramas is the attitudes that they take, as they portray “manhood.” There are many reasons why people commit suicide, one of them is a confuse sense, or a twisted view of ones self.

Why Korea and America have this fascination for painting grown mans as “Idiot minded, and childish,” individuals goes beyond what I can comprehend, the character of Cha Ji Heon, is a clear example of that, (by the way I have watched every single episode of PTB so I know what I am talking about.)

I think the question is more alarming; Are woman's identities, so mess up as to think that they can “Rescue any man, and save them as if the were a stray dog? Well if that is the kind of audience that this dramas are targeting than there’s another reason why suicide is so prevalent id\n Korea.

I know that people will say that it is unfair that I make a correlation between suicide and dramas, but please let me see if I can explain my logic: If most man and woman are raise in a society where “shame” not “Love” is what binds all interpersonal relationships, than what is there to do? In a society where fathering and mothering, a male offspring is paramount, than we know that when taking to the extreme, we get the female infanticide that is so prevalent in country’s like China or India just to name a few. Furthermore what it does to the individual physique.

Protect The Boss, IMHO is nothing more than a case study of the reality of Korean Culture when it comes to interpersonal dysfunctions.

1- We have No Eun Seol, the heroine that in the surface looks like a strong woman, but as we take a closer look we find that growing up she was nothing short of a misfit, going around beating people up. And now having a hard time as she basically becomes the “Mother of her Boss.”
Something of which I do not find sexy or romantic at all, that is codependent and sick in my book.

2- Cha Ji Heon is the man/child who by all the intended purposes is severely mentally ill, I can count at least 4 mental illnesses that he suffers, he is a man who cannot feel any kind of love nor empathy, constantly abusing others by always acting like a 4 year old kid in preschool, who some how went crazy after her brother and sister in-law die in a car accident, we already know that he cannot speak in public, and is afraid of crowded places, etc, etc. I man like this if I was a woman, will be that last man that I will find suitable for marriage, let alone be hired to play his mother.

3- Cha Moo Won, is the second male lead, and as always we have a man that even when he is a grown ass man still angrily, under his mothers thumb, he is a bit more assertive as a proper male, but at the end he is as idiotic as all enablers, who by his noble idiot character allows his cousin and girlfriend to ruin his life.

4- Seo Na Yoon, is the second female lead, who by now we know is the woman that is at the center of two fighting cousins, as they fight for her attention like two preschool kids. Again this is a grown ass woman that lives under the unhealthy over bearing attitude of her mother. I as grown man find this kind of woman, very hard to deal with, since they do not have a sense of womanhood apart from their mothers.

5- We have the parents, who behave like children and do nothing more than making the life of their grown up kids a hell on hearth, from being Physical abusive, to emotionally black mailing their kids, in order for they to do as they are told.

Now here is where people give me a lot of crap, for saying this; I do believe that Confucius got it wrong when it comes to the order of society and “Filial Piety,”

1- Man are not above woman, they are equal.
2- Ancestral worship, made woman into a lesser person than second class citizen.
3-As in the case of the Romans “Patria Potestad,” gives all rights to the father, over the children even the right to kill ones children, if they do not comply.
4- Loving and honoring ones parents do not mean to do, what we know is ethically wrong.
5- Status (money, beauty), are not good indicators of a person worth.

I can go on and on, pointing out a lot of things that are wrong with this philosophical system, but all point to the fact that I am right when I say that; Modern media in Korea only continue to diminish human worth, when they do have the power to change the perception of people at large, but instead gives us, half baked heroes and heroines, that are only a mocking caricatures of what a grown up individual can properly be.

I do see the “Comedy” aspect of this dramas, but making it a joke instead of producing, well adjusted and mature, loving individuals, is by far a greater disservices that the media does to us all.

Not all man and woman are like the idiots on Jersey Shore, not all black man are thugs, not all Hispanics are lazy, not all Korean man behave like a 4 year old idiots, not all Korean mothers are overbearing, not all Korean woman behave like the second female leads.

I have enjoy as much as anybody Protect The Boss, but once I take all the glossy comedic facade, all I am left with some really mess up individuals, of which I have no desire, or aspire to be like!!!!!!!

ACtually, I did think of something to say. I'm only speaking for PTB now, not all the other kdramas.

I like it because all the characters are caricatures of people I know in real life:

Eun Seol, the girl that grew up tough because she had to, but has a big heart and wants to help people when she can. My best friend grew up in a dysfunctional, abusive home and now has a college degree and is a loving mom to her four kids. BUT, the tough pays off as she advocates for her three special needs kids and won't take no for an answer when it's in their best interest.

Je Heon: He's not portrayed as an idiot, he's a guy with a severe mental health problem that he is trying to overcome on his own. Granted, not usually the best idea to attempt without help, but he's not an idiot....just immature due to his phobias. Got a couple of those in my hubby's family.

MuWon: Not sure that anyone has ruined his life yet, but he seems like the kid who always did what his mother wanted, and just got the rebellious streak a bit late. I don't think he "lets" his cousin ruin his life, he's trying to fight back.

NaYoon: Smart but spoiled. My cousin. Youngest in a rich family, always got what she wanted and didn't quite know what to do when she didn't get her way. Longest semester of my life was when she was my roommate. Na Yoon is actually not as bad, she's OK, just doesn't know what to do with herself when the only friends she was allowed to have (her mothers fault) go chasing another girl.

Dad: LOVE this character. All of my friends were scared of my Dad cuz he looked like he was scowling all the time and could be kind of loud. But he's a pushover, really....loves his kids and will do anything in his power to make sure they're happy. I think the Dad is that way, he just didn't know what the deal was with JiHoen cuz he wasn't told.

Grandma: She reminds me so much of my grandma...outspoken, wise, observant. And kinda sneaky.

And the mom's. They are over the top ambitious for their kids....I think they are the only characters that don't remind me of anyone I know personally. But, they are the perfect caricature of all the other ambitious kdrama moms.

I love it because I can relate to most of these people on some level, but it's fun, funny and ultimately lighthearted (so far). I think reading too much social commentary into a show like this is crazy, you should just enjoy it for what it is: entertainment.

Bravo, bro! *applause*
I loved your comment. Especially one of your closing sentences on some agitating stereotypes.

While my own views about the show are milder than your own, your point is valid, and even if I didn't agree, it's your opinion and the rest of us should learn to respect that.

If my online time wasn't so scattered, I would happily sit and point out exactly why I'm not quite on the Confucian vibe either, but don't have that luxury of time.

So I feel a little frustrated at episode 13 of SoaW. Am I the only one? I just want to see their relationship blossom finally without the interference of the same old conflict devices that they use in melodramas. It's never quite recover from the "emo" tone it took on from episode 11. Hmm.

So I just watched the commercial for The Crucible. I nearly started bawling because that subject is very sensitive for me. I think that GY has probably done a great job in it.

Hi, OTers!
Hurricane Irene went roaring through my state last Saturday. One week later, just got back cell service - no power, hot water, tv/cable yet. Is this how the Flintstones lived?! Sucks, big time. But just to show how totally shallow I am, what do I miss the most? Yup. My K-dramas!! Thank god for recaps and my cellphone. No other internet available. And now this miniscule keyboard has pooped me out - bye, DBers!

Glad to hear you're alive and well, though! The east coast branch of our family weathered it all fairly well, also. We're just going to die of terminal fog out here.

Just finished Definitely Neighbors RAW... 65 Episodes...

Did I happen to mention 65 Episodes?

Yes, it's me, the Hop, Skip and Jumper of Kdramas that go way too long. All I'm gonna say is that it's a great story, but I didn't like the ending. So, I do recommend it, since the cast is great, but just be alert that it has one of "those" endings.

Reminds me of the old movie "Georgy Girl", which is totally weird, because I wasn't even born yet when it first came out and really don't remember much about it. Strange....

I generally won't do anything over about 25 eps cuz I get addicted and then nothing gets done until I've watched it all, lol. Although now that the school year has started I really only have about an hour a day...so maybe this is a good time to tackle one of the longer ones. I'm watching Slingshot/A Man's Story at the moment and really liking it.

One whole hour each! Hence the hopping, skipping and jumping through. Oh, wow! This is one of those funky English things. Why does hopping and skipping have two letters P and jumping only one?

yeah the ending can be a bit hard to take, but after sitting with it a while I liked it. I think the thing that most makes the ending ridiculous is the length. I think they were trying to point out the ways she has changed from the mess she was in the beginning. I know you watched it raw and so many things were missing for you, but there are two scenes that I always think about when gun hee first made the proposal that they go to paris together she asked her daughter if she would mind if they moved to another place but her daughter said she only wants to be able to spend time with her father occasionally so it couldn't be a place far away. eunsoo told her father that while he had his new family she was all her mother had, and she knew that her mother chose her over going to paris with gun hee.
I didn't see some of the in between episodes so I'm not sure what happened to gun hee or how they really ended things but I think the last scene where she's walking and she conjures him and reminds her that she said she'll always smile when she sees him is supposed to make us think that it's possible they might meet again like samchun and lee mi sook's character.

I'm so disappointed with the ending of I need romance!
Why did it go that way????
I feel like the did that because they wanted to keep that actor ( i dont know his name, the male lead?) in every episode, even when he didnt need to be...
I'm so gutted about it....

I didn't get to see the last 2 episoded because I haven't found subs for them yet but I read the recaps... :( yeah it's sad, I liked the other guy much better too, I hope we'll see him again in some drama as first lead maybe.

I think the ending was somehow realistic, her getting back to the one she was feeling more comfortable with. It was quite an unconventional k-drama though, I'm glad I watched it.

Just typing a quick note. I'm a bit at a loss for words, after hearing some news from a fellow OTer (though she is less frequent nowadays), janna.
A family member of hers passed away very recently and I don't quite know how I could console her, but if she happens to read this... If words could be of any comfort...

My sis, you're in my thoughts. Take care of yourself. LOVE AND KISSES!!! xoxoxox

Any suggestions for dramas for a newbie. I am currently waiting for MyungWol to finish (first time, I've had to wait since I've been watching completed series)
Although a melodrama is what introduced me to kdrama, I really only like the romantic comedies. You're Beautiful is my favorite, but I've enjoyed my gf is a gumiho, wish upon a star, greatest love, & heartstrings, kim sam soon and even Mary stayed out all night (what can I say - I'm a sucker for JGS) But now I don't know what to watch next.
