Wishing for a lucky start for Reach of Sincerity

Photos from the opening prayer ceremony for legal romance drama Reach of Sincerity have been released. The ceremony was held to wish for the success of the upcoming drama and to celebrate the new year. The drama is about Korea’s top actress who decides to go undercover to experience life as an employee at a prestigious law firm. There, she meets a perfectionist lawyer who becomes her boss (*cough* love interest *cough*).
Previous The Lonely Shining Goblin co-stars, Yoo Inna and Lee Dong-wook (Life), will play the main couple so we know the chemistry will be off the charts. The director onboard is Park Joon-hwa, who has directed some of my favorite dramas in the last two years, Because This Life is Our First and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.
At the prayer ceremony, Director Park Joon-hwa, the production team, the lead couple and other supporting actors like Shin Dong-wook (Live), Sohn Sung-yoon (One More Happy Ending), Oh Jung-se (Mistress, Falsify), Shim Hyung-tak (Good Witch), Jang So-yeon (Big Forest, Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food), Park Ji-hwan, and Lee Joon-hyuk (My Secret Terrius) were present.
When Lee Dong-wook was asked to give a few words, he said the following: “I will try my best. I hope that we will finish filming successfully without any actors or production staff members getting hurt.” Yoo Inna added, “We will try hard to make the film set a fun, happy place. Fighting!” Actors Shin Dong-wook and Lee Joon-hyuk also said that they were sure that the drama would be a success. Finally, the director closed out the comments by saying, “Above all, I hope we will be able to finish filming safely and healthily. Reach of Sincerity fighting!”
At the end, the written prayer containing the hopeful wishes of the production team and actors was burned in a moving ceremony.
tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday drama Reach of Sincerity begins airing in the first half of 2019.

The writer who does the adaptation is also important imo. What if it ends like Bride of The Water God? *shudder*
Eh, who am I kidding? They got me on Sunny and Kim Woo-bin reunion, who cares about the rest? After all It's TVN, at least it won't look cheap like Fluttering Warning.

I love PD Park but WWWSK got really over-the-top at times. He took the “webtoon” thing to an extreme. I hope he tones it down for this one. BTLIOF was perfectly directed.

Yay for Yoo Inna and Lee Dong Wook!
Recently, I thought of Yoo Inna because she was in Queen In Hyun's Man which had the same writer who wrote the frustratingly weak female lead in the now airing Memories of Alhambra. Maybe it's too long ago but I can't recall having issues with Yoo Inna's character in the show. She's always have this sass even when her character doesn't have much agency.

QIHM used to be one of my most favourite dramas... I used a past tense because I haven’t rewatched the drama for at least 5 years so I’m not sure I’d like it the same now that I grew older.
I remember YIN’s character was an actress as well and she wasn’t a brightest one. I think they even repeated it several times that she was dumb. But I didn’t dislike YIN’s character as much as I dislike PSH’s character in MoA.

Somehow watching PSH's Hee Joo makes me feel despair? Is that the right word? If the intention is to make viewers feel hopelessness, I must say she succeeded 🌧🌧🌧🌧🌧

When I first read the title Reach of Sincerity, my mind went to all the other "of" combination (Truck of Doom, Motorbike of Love, Bridge of... reconciliation? *can't remember*, etc.) So my mind is running in circles trying to adapt to an image that isn't working!

Oh my goodness... I just realized Shin Dong Wook will be in this drama...I loved Soulmates and can't wait to see him in a drama again. Happy that he seems healthy now. I hope his illness will not keep him from working. He had a lot of potential.
