Sehun recalls All That We Loved in new youth romance

The promo train has begun with a cute first poster for TVING’s upcoming All That We Loved, featuring the youth romance’s main trio played by EXO’s Sehun (Now We Are Breaking Up), Jo Joon-young (Idol: The Coup), and Jang Yeo-bin (Our Blooming Youth).

In a coming-of-age story about battling through high school, friendship, and the first blooms of love, the drama takes us back to the early 2000s, where the young besties Go Yoo (Sehun) and Go Joon-hee (Jo Joon-young) are faced with an odd predicament.

Although just a young teenager, one of our bromantic pair becomes in need of a kidney transplant and the other readily agrees to be the donor. However, after the surgery, both boys start to show signs of the speculated cellular memory syndrome  and they find themselves sharing similarities that they didn’t have before.

For example, in the past, it was the studious Joon-hee who had excelled in school, while Go Yoo had little interest in his studies, dedicating most of his time to basketball. But now the two are somehow neck and neck, competing for the highest grades to be at the top of their year.

Also entering the equation is the new transfer student Han So-yeon (Jang Yeo-bin), who befriends both Go Yoo and Joon-hee, expanding the duo into a trio. Alas, as this is dramaland, the budding rivalry between our two boys become ever the more complicated when they both start to grow feelings for So-yeon.

Directed by PD Kim Jin-sung with writer Kang Yoon penning the scripts, TVING’s All That We Loved is set to premiere early next month on May 5.

Isn't it usually a *heart* transplant that causes personality changes in dramas? I understand this needs to be a kidney transplant so the donor can still be alive, but in my sewer-dwelling imagination it's more likely they'll just find themselves on synchronized bathroom schedules.
