Twenty Five Twenty One: the ending that makes rewatching hard.

Skip it. That is how I do lots of my rewatches. Skip that one infuriating arc. Skip that one annoying character. Stop watching at the semi-final episode.

Yeah, that one hurt sooo bad. Only the things that you love the most can hurt you that much. Twenty Five Twenty One was 14.5 episodes of utter perfection for me. I still love it to death despite the ending that utterly destroyed me. I remember watching it for the first time and having problems sleeping for 3 days straight.

I’ve got to be one of the few who liked the ending 😅 I usually want a happy ever after with the leads, but appreciated how this one played out differently

I don’t mind the happily-Not-Together ending, but the lead up to the break up didn’t feel quite right for the two leads. That’s what was so disappointing for me.

I loved the ending too. It was narratively perfect, imo.

        I thought so too 😄

It was a perfect ending imo, too, though I can’t say the same for the execution and directing in those couple of final eps. However, I agree that having this type of ending makes it hard for me to rewatch knowing what is waiting at the end.

Thanks to this show I actually found peace with Secret of Forest’s ship. Now I’m happy they never got together, that means their beautiful relationship will never die.

I’m also consciously not shipping the leads of The Bear. I don’t want a bad written romance to ruin the “rainbow” relationship they have right now.

Thank you, 2521, you traumatized me. *deep breaths*

I just finished When I Fly Towards you and it reminded me of 25 21 without that ending. WIFTY has a great rewatch value too. I mean quality wise K dramas are a class apart, but the innocence in the drama and the Nostalgia it evoked was very much like 25 21. Highly recommend

Totally, no matter how good eps 1-14, the reminder of the ending hurts while rewatching TT__TT
