Sehun was introduced as a member of EXO on January 10, 2012. The group officially made their debut on April 8 with the EP Mama. Their breakthrough came in 2013 with the release of their debut studio album XOXO, which spawned the hit single Growl. EXO’s single Monster from their third studio album Ex’Act became the group’s first number one on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart. The group topped Forbes Korea’s Power Celebrity List for two consecutive years in 2015 and 2016. In 2018, the group released their sixth studio album titled Don’t Mess Up My Tempo, which debuted at number 23 on the U.S. Billboard 200.


Sehun starred with his fellow EXO members and actress Moon Ga-young in the web series EXO Next Door in 2015. The following year, he was cast as the male lead in the Korean-Chinese film Catman. In 2018, he appeared in the web dramas Secret Queen Makers and Dokgo Rewind. That same year, he became a fixed cast member of Netflix’s Busted! In 2021, he acted alongside Song Hye-gyo and Jang Ki-yong in the SBS series Now, We Are Breaking Up. In 2022, he made his Korean film debut in the period adventure film The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure.
