The ladies of My Black Minidress for Cine21

The ladies of My Black Minidress are throwing all their star power behind the opening of their movie this weekend, in a shoot for Cine21, looking decidedly more springtime-princessy than black-minidressy. Yoon Eun-hye (My Fair Lady, Coffee Prince), Park Han-byul (Oh My Lady), and Yoo Inna (Secret Garden) pose in a photo shoot that I’d call “The Pre-Party Before the Princess Ball.” There’s nothing like a little wine between girlfriends before making your grand entrance.
The one thing that caught my eye was Park Han-byul, wearing the same dress that Kim Tae-hee wore in My Princess. It’s every little girl’s dream, to wear a confection of a dress like that, right? All she needs is a pair of glass slippers to go with.
My Black Minidress, about the lives of four twentysomething friends as they juggle life/love/work, is out in theaters now.

Yes, the dress that Park Han Byul is wearing (the Marc Jacob's beige and pink dress) was ALSO worn by Yoon Eun Hye in a previous photoshoot, even before Kim Tae Hee wore it in My Princess...

PHB and YI are pretty, but they both kinda have this "bland" type of beauty which doesn't make them stand out or make them noticeable in any particular way.
YEH can look pretty (at certain angles), but can also look a little "off" (at other angles) due to her facial features, but her big draw is her natural charm and charisma.

PHB has got MAJOR work done on her face, and I mean MAJORRRRRR!!!! I stumbled on an earlier show she acted in way before Couple in Trouble when she was just a rookie.....she looked totally different. Aren't they worried what's going to happen to their faces when they age? Look at MJ.

you have to take into account that she was a young teenager then and now she's a woman in her mid-20s... when I look at middle school/early high school pictures of myself my face shape looks TOTALLY different, it's almost kind of crazy. my eye-shape also changed a lot....

I think she has looked pretty much the same these past few years, excepting the occasional hairstyle change and weight gain/loss.
I think it's just the makeup and angle in these shoots.
She looks like herself in the solo pic but looks like a different person in the group pic.
PHB's really pretty but there really isn't anything special abt her beauty - so I guess the makeup can really work a lot to make her look like someone else. Her beauty isn't as striking as YEH's, which you can recognize even under layers of makeup.

No, it's not just you, b/c it's quite easy to recognize YEH.
I like YEH a lot (ever since her X-Man days), but she isn't your typical beauty and doesn't have the classic features of a SHG or KTH.
And YEH does have flaws such as not having the greatest cheekbones (her oversized front teeth are a flaw but I kinda find that cute and appealing).

"not having the greatest cheekbones"? no wonder artist tend to go to the knife coz basically ppl always try to find what's not so great about this or that in their looks...but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder at least we do agree on that bunny teeth its cute.

I also want a guy's movie. How about My Black Speedo? Or My Black Boxers? Hand Towel, Hot Reaper Boy and Han Kang can act in it. About this pair of black briefs that gets passed from one to the other. And they all take turns wearing it. Bit stinky, but what's a little discomfort in the name of Art? Plenty of shower scenes and abs scenes guaranteed.

When I was a little girl, my mom had to wrestle me to the ground and threaten me with bodily harm in order to get me to wear a dress. Come to think of it, I still don't like wearing dresses...skirts yeah, but dresses make me feel very uncomfortable and don't really appeal to me at all for some reason. Case in point, I honestly find all of the above pictured dresses kinda ugly. But I guess I'm just weird like that.

i love dresses too and enjoy clothing/fashion in general, but these frothy confections are so NOT my thing too.
didn't like them on Kim Tae-hee in My Princess either. imo, just served to amp up the bimbo-ditz part of her character.
looking forward nevertheless to see YEH in another drama soon. she's adorable just by herself (and her teeth + smile) without, needing the froth.

The thing is, I can see how these dresses could be CONCEPTUALLY appealing, but in EXECUTION something went wrong.
Like, the draping for Yeh's dress, the cute off-the-shoulder on Park's, and how Yoo's really hugs & shows off her body are all things that could entice someone to think they were a good idea at the drawing board.
BUT...
The material for Yeh's dress just makes it look cheap. I'm pretty sure I've seen a pillowcase at my Grandma's house before that was made out of that butterfly cloth (literally!). Park's... oh man~ this girl has a nice figure, but this dress make her look oddly flat-chested and like she's gained some 10 pounds (which I know no girl would ever want!). And Yoo's: sailor meets cabaret? I just don't get it. >.<;
Especially for actresses, I always thought their clothing was supposed to enhance their beauty, not distract us from it.
I guess it's just fortunate that they are all BEAUTIFUL and TALENTED women, and so I will still love them regardless of what they wear.

I really want to watch this movie, but since I don't live in Korea, I'll have to wait...
By the way, there are rumors flying around that Kang Ji Hwan is considering the drama Sweet Scandal and Yoon Eun Hye is also looking upon favorably to the female lead role...I wanted to see them collaborate, ever since the time when they presented a Baeksang award together :) They had so much chemistry even back then!
