Beanie level: Chaebol’s poor doppelganger

Lovely Runner, that was the two best hours of a kdrama I have had in so long. Laughed and squeed. I love how as adults Sol still is oblivious and Sunjae still covers problematic things with blankets.

hahahaha yessss 🙌 him trying to drag over a gigantic quilt to cover the capsule, when it would’ve been so much easier to just chuck that thing under the bed or something, was so hilarious, why is he such an adorkable loser 😂

Why brush things under the carpet when you can cover them with a blanket.

Sun Sol are really a barrel of laughs and squees. 😍😍😍♥️♥️♥️

Somehow QoT was almost 2 hours but didn’t give me all I wanted, like a proper kiss, time at the newlywed home. I didn’t want grand gestures and skipping around, but day to day relationship building.

    You’re right.
They talk too much about the things they had to improve but they didn’t do any of those things.

I’m still shocked that till the end, those two slept in separate rooms. 😂

Eun-who’s story was stretched to an extent where there was no time left for the OTP.

Exactly a rom-com without a proper high on soju, blush to the moon toe curling kiss. all the important OTP scenes gone like ending had a connection problem.

That is such a great description! Luckily Lovely Runner got it right.

It was fun to watch Hae-in”s detective work putting together the pieces, especially with her secretary. But girl, why did you not take a taxi when you knew he was watching you? If BIH has amnesia….

KTL Epilogue: We know you were all mainly watching to see Junho in suits. Lol. Although I did enjoy the dress up scene gender flip. Yoona drinking tea was hilarious.

From MB: “Yes, that’s it. Put serial murder in it! I can tell this one will be a big hit” hahahahaha. I’m glad the writers can laugh at the trend too.

Well hello Family, Link, Dr. Romantic 3, and 1st Respondes. Nice of Disney+ to drop you all into Hulu.

Thank you, Call It Love, for a great two months together! Enjoying the feeling of resolution after a well done emotional arc.

CCIR, I’m going to view the deadly rocks as a minor annoyance. I know that a romcom without a mystery violence element wouldn’t get shown these days, so I forgive you. Otherwise, great premiere!

Same here. I’d rather it have non-violent mysteries or subplots.. but well those things aren’t happening anymore these days.

I just rewatched 1% of something. I imagine now they have two kids, and are already fighting over violin or K-pop lessons. Jae In still wears tacky suits and Dada promotes Ji Su. They are very happy.

Melo is My Nature!!!!!!! So honest, and different, and making fun of itself. It’s amazing. The remote control tractor moment! That and the aegyo made me laugh so hard.

Anyone watching Doctor John? Is it good?

Caught up on WWW. Loved the work resolutions for everyone. But the couple get-back-together was trite. A little sad at a show that was true to itself until then. You deserved better!

WWW–you are so, so incredible. Strong, nuanced women fighting for themselves and others, smart dialogue about the issues in pioneering technology, surprises in plot despite knowing the episode 8 rule

But what’s this episode 8 rule though? 😀

    1
    2

      Same question!

      1
      0

(spoiler) the OST almost always kisses/gets together around mid-point of the show, usually episode 8 (there’s also usually the blow-up-in-your-face that happens end of episode 14)

      2
      1

Episode 8 is when they’re done establishing their plot and have used up all their original content. Episode 10/11 is OTP kiss, episode 14 is when they run out of story.
Basically, everything after episode 8 (the back half) is when shows start to lose it.

Reach of Sincerity is cute and funny, but she’s so idiotic. I don’t know if I can do Yoo In Na pretending to be bad at acting and without intelligence. It’s like a caricature of Queen In Hyun’s Man.

Same, I’m just like did they have to make her character this dense

Amazing, isn’t it?. She attended college so she has some semblance of sense and intelligence.

Ikr? I love Yoo Inna and I miss her so much. I thought this drama will be similar in vibe with Top Star Yoo Baek, fun and breezy. But it’s… boring. And I don’t like any of the characters, they are like caricature. Sigh… I think I’ll need to say goodbye much, much earlier to my fave unni.

I’m so MAD about the dramafever shutdown. Stupid TimeWarner. They couldn’t wait until the current great batch of shows that they had the rights to had finished? Lots of pirating in my future.

Sketch has gotten so good and Hungry Wok is languishing in parental disapproval banality. HW had such a creative beginning, and I didn’t see the point of Sketch at first. K-dramas always surprise.

I find it weird that Greasy Melo was so complex and innovative and now it’s just an OTP AGAINST THE ODDS like every other kdrama. I mean, I’m still loving it because I love the OTP. But I’d describe some of the plot resolutions as “banal” as well. Comparatively speaking at least.

Sketch? I haven’t heard good things about it but obviously you’re enjoying it.

Yea, I did not like it for a long time because it seemed futile to work on sketches you couldn’t change. However one character eventually can change the seen future, and the plot twists get really good around episode 10. Mr. X (not so bad guy going after the very bad guys) is also very complex. I found myself wanting things to work out for him, and then being surprised the show made me feel that way because Mr. X is awful. I’m not sure I’d ever have gotten to episode 10 though if I wasn’t on summer break as a teacher.

Just caught up with WWWSK. The This Life is Our First Life cameo was so good! I was laughing and squeeing over it. The music, the quotes, Lee Min Ki (come back to us in something soon!)….

I’m not watching the show but watched the cameo and GAH. Love.

Lee Min-ki is going to be in The Beauty Inside drama remake! Can’t say I’m too excited about the drama from the description but I’m hoping to be pleasantly surprised. JTBC’s been so solid lately. And I’m excited to see him work with lots of different actors.

Why. Would. You. Go. Into. A. Raging. Fire. For A Cellphone? I was so annoyed at her until I realized it was the writers’ fault. Trying out AYH2 but the need to overlook the impossible is high.

5

That’s actually pretty realistic. People do really stupid things at fires, and often go back in for things that don’t matter. I can’t fault the writer for that one. Though truthfully the girl’s a bit of a dim bulb to begin with.

Hahaha, you sound like me right before I dropped it. But I’ve been forced convinced to pick it up again.

I’ve been putting off watching Lawless Lawyer even though I love it because I”m nervous of what’s going to happen. Is it ok (peeking through fingers) to watch?
