Reasons to watch: The promotions for this drama have practically been a drama in themselves — so fun, so campy, so much meta. If the drama itself keeps on the same track, we’ll be lucky enough to have an oddball drama in the vein of Zombie Detective, but with Taecyeon. And fake fangs. And tons of not-deeply-hidden 2PM jokes. And also ~romance~.
At the core of our story is a vampire who wants to become human and fall in love (and perhaps not in that order). When he starts cohabitating with the woman who owns the house where his coffin lies in the attic, his undead heart might just start beating. For a drama that’s in it for the laughs and embracing the ridiculousness, I think the only way it can fail us is if it starts taking itself too seriously. Don’t do that, Show. Embrace the camp!

Prime Video Singapore and Philippines YouTube channels have the trailer with English subs, but I couldn't find it on the US channel.
My (limited) experience with Prime is that a show won't show up in their search until it's actually available to stream, so we can't be sure until tomorrow - possibly in the late evening US time because subs seem to take a half-day or so. I guess those of us in North America will just have to be patient. Their subs are indeed bad, but not as bad as the machine translations on some darkside sites.

Started with Arthdal Cronicles vibe, almost identical. Not sure what to make of it yet. The ending was funny. I like the FL, she is definitely better than King the land one.

While I wouldn't call the first episode totally "fun" at least its campy, and it does indeed have Taecyeon. I'll Venmo you a cocktail, @attiton , if it continues in this vein, which given the frequent course of kdramas, is still in doubt.

That 10 up there is my rating and I haven’t seen KBS’s HEARTBEAT yet. That’s how sure I am that it will be available to US viewers.
As a US viewer in the age of Kocowa I suffer from terminal availability angst but I am 100 percent sure (for some unknown reason) that come tomorrow June 26 Taec will be available in the US on Amazon Prime Video.

I checked - it looks to be on Prime Singapore. It's also not on Viki. Myasiantv has not updatded it yet either. This is not good for us US viewers.

I tested it, and I had to turn on the subtitles (they weren't on automatically for some reason). But the timing of the subtitles seemed fine👍

And sorry, but the whole "want to become human/mortal" bit that I've seen in so many kdramas does not seem like such a great idea.
The older I get the more "not dying" seems like a good idea, especially if you can afford the optional No Age-Related Illnesses package. Worried about your human one true love getting old and dying? Just get another like a human replacing a dog or cat that died. Yes, I'm single. Why do you ask? I'll go hide now.

As many experienced today searching on Prime Video it took a bit of work but I eventually found Taec and our kdrama HeartBeat. (PV must have entered the title with that upper case B to differentiate from the British TV Heartbeat series that has like a million episodes.)
Pleased my confidence paid off and I am not out there hanging on a limb lol.
O/T. I don't have the same confidence for US availability for my other eagerly awaited drama: JTBC's MIRACLE BROTHERS with episode one airing in 2 days.

Weirdly, I was able to find it fine on my computer last night, but then today on my tv, I couldn’t find it at all (searching for heartbeat) to watch the second episode. Finally tried “taecyeon” and that got me to his work, which got me to the second episode. They have so much money, I don’t know why they can’t invest in a better search.

What @jls943 said - by searching for Ok Taec-yeon. But I also added it to "My Stuff" on the laptop and then it showed up under that on the TV, too. Their search function doesn't even rise to the level of "sucks."

Lots of new dramas. Already have a body in the yard, time travel, a demon possession and reincarnated love, why not a dose of vampire too ? 🧛♂️ Most of the dramas are gloomy, a lighter drama would be nice.
