      It may sound weird but I stopped watching it when I realised I was enjoying it. It’s a very nice, light, slice-of-life drama but I want to know when the final episodes are coming before I keep going.

Can any beanies recommend a drama similar to Father is Strange? It\’s the only long family drama I\’ve completed and I really enjoyed it!

    I felt the same way after I finished FIS! That show was so fun! I watched Marry Me Now (also called Shall We Live Together) then. It’s not *quite* as awesome as FIS, but it came pretty close to me. (I don’t know any others, so I’ll be watching this thread in hopes of more suggestions, too :D)

      Five Children was the first weekender I watched all the way through. It’s pretty good. I put it in the same catergory as FIS and MMN. Both of which I enjoyed equally. Right now I am enjoying My Only One and My Healing Love.

Are You Human Too first impression: I don\’t speak Czech, so I may be wrong here, but kang joon sounded really fluent?? Been a while since I\’ve heard a foreign language spoken so fluently in a drama

    I thought the same thing! To my untrained ear, his Czech actually sounded like what I expect Czech to sound like and not like a weird gibberish mixture of Korean and Czech. 😅

    @cherryinbloom said that his Czech was pretty decent.

      I was quite surprised that he did so well cause Czech language is extremely difficult for East Asians. I’m legally considered Czech of Vietnamese descent but I think of myself more as Czech Vietnamese . And I can tell you a lot of Vietnamese of first generation who’s lived here over decades don’t ever speak fluently as he did.

        I know you mentioned that Nam Shin’s accent wasn’t as good as Nam Shin III’s. I wonder if that was intentional (a robot is of course going to have a better accent than a human) or if the Nam Shin scenes were just shot earlier and he didn’t have as good of a grasp on the language yet 😛

    That’s one theory I have, or that he doesn’t even have a clock. I’m hoping that he doesn’t have one and it’s her increasing her own clock due to her growing feelings. I’m sure it’s not going to be that because this show is definitely Melo and things are moving super fast. So I bet you half the show is her trying to figure out how to change her clock or change his clock.

    I understand your feelings @autumnlights.
    Just finished episode 16, and if you think about it, how else could they end it? With the two of them living a lie for the rest of their lives?
    Was she happy? He certainly was not – the only way to have justice was for him to go to prison but that was taken from them.
    It wasn’t the perfect ending – but I think it was the only way – kind of foggy and dense and misty. Kind of the way life can be sometimes.

      Yes, I see where you are coming from. I didn’t expect them to live happily ever after either, but I felt that TW’s death left more to be desired?
      I mean, after all that fighting (for HR, his marriage, his parents’ approval of his wife, his career choice etc), his character ends in suicide?
      And I was shocked by the director’s decision to broadcast MW as the killer despite HR’s confession to him. His reasoning was that he went by ‘the facts’, which was only a fact because MW confessed to the police (and conjured evidence to support it). But that fact could easily have been replaced by another fact (and the truth at that) if TW had reached the station before MW.

    i personally just finished a drama that was on its way to be a favorite for me but the final 2 eps sucked 🙁

    well… there couldn’t have been a happy ending for them…
    am I the only one who watched it and didn’t mind? As @stpauligurl pointed out: it was the only way. 1st off, I had very little empathy for Prison Oppa. his was an obsession that I did not like. If he volunteered himself for prison, so be it. I didn’t feel sad in the least. But he robbed Tae Wook of his shining moment of honesty and THAT must have killed TW inside enough for him to close his eyes in that tunnel and …

    *sigh*

    great show. tragic ending.

      Yeah, after MW’s stint, a happy ending would have been a bit of a stretch. I wasn’t asking for that either, just one that doesn’t shortchange me on TW’s character.
